I set up a new tank, set up filter, fed the tank with fish food. After testing the ammonia is high, but no sight of nitrites in the tank. It's been over a week or more now. I even added API Quickstart and I am not seeing nitrites on the test strip. Do I just need to wait?
If you have no ammonia, no nitrites, and have nitrates present you should be safe
