I have Inverted L more like Inverted U with other side of wire also hanging down. 20 Ft High, 30 ft wide. it does do reasonably at 3.5MHz and do well on 7MHz band. because of low height , I think it is more of NVIS antenna. AG6JU
Thanks Darren. I was talking with Tom @ ZeroFive earlier today about my 27' vertical install and he mentioned this video. Will definitely give it a try as I operate a net on 80M during the Fall/Winter. - KN6EQQ
That's a coincidence. I just talked to Tom this afternoon sharing with him that I had my horizontal wire arc from 15' of the Zero Five. The wire melted and arc either to my other antenna CHA250B or the frame if my solar panels. Upon further investigation, I found that the wire arc'd to the metal structure of my cement roof. I'm making a video, look out for it. 73's de N4VFR.
A none resonant antenna needs to be tune at the base with a remote tuner, if is not posible then the coax to the 4:1 unun should be as short as posible. With 75 feet of coax the losses are astronomical if the tuner is in the shack.
Great Job Captain Darren, keep up the good work Regards DE,

you could add coil for 160m too at the wire connection 😁
You a Genius Capt Darren....keep up your good Work. 💯👍🙋♂
Thank you Uncle Guenter! Have a great evening!
The antenna is interesting and small-sized, I’ll probably install it at the dacha. 73, see you! Anton (ua3ndx)

@@DarrenN4VFR RR I will. Gonna set my 27' HOA in a temp situation for testing. Look forward to that video.

Thank you. My 998RT would be perfect for that. I want to keep the 4:1 Unun and will need a short cable run as you mentioned. 73'
Wow is that S8 of noise on the higher bands!! Jeez I am blessed with S0! Why dont you do some RBN, WSPR tests to see if it is actually efficient!
Wow, I just saw that on 10m. Normally, it's S6.
Do you receive alien messages ? Altar - 9 is calling
You know you can buy a coil for 80/160M for your 43ft vertical rather than making it an inverted L!
Send me a link. I'd prefer a coil. Thanks for the feedback.

You don't need that noise in the background. Distraction
