I have always loved this so much. They know why they have the privilege of playing their music for others and they are showing their appreciation. True artists. It is always special when performers and an audience enjoy each other.
Jackson Browne started his career writing songs for other artists such as the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (he was briefly a member in 1966) & the Eagles (Browne co-wrote "Take It Easy"). But in the 70's he started recording his own songs. He had a lot of hits 70's-80's such as "Doctor, My Eyes", "Rock Me On The Water", "Here Come Those Tears Again", "The Pretender", "Running On Empty", "Somebody's Baby", "Tender Is The Night" etc.
Thank for this reaction, Sarah! I enjoyed your obvious delight in the entire song, and got a kick that you recognized the steel lap guitar guy (David Lindley) following the wonderful Rosemary Butler with that second (falsetto) phrasing of the "Stay..." verse. Almost everybody figures out that it's a fantastic song & performance, but not everybody notices the extra sweet little tidbits like that one. Count me as a 'Like & Subscriber' 🙂
Very nice reaction to a great song. I saw him in Boston shortly after his Running on Empty album was out. He ended the concert this exact way and the emotion and love Jackson had to his road crew was immense and honest.
Another beautiful reaction, Miss Sarah. ❤ Jackson Browne has long been one of my favorite musicians. He writes, plays and sings with such passion. He co-wrote the epic Eagles hit, "Take it Easy," which you really must give a listen. It was their first single released in 1972, and their career is now spanned over 50 years. Thanks, my dear friend, for your passionate and soulful ear. 😉
this is a great example of what music and movie reactions are all about. It was a pleasure sharing this tune with you. Thanks so much! Amazing how many details seem to reveal in this medium, because of the little extra attention that comes with it. The focus. That verse we never quite listened to every line. The solo maybe we spaced out a bit on and missed part of. Fascinating. Fun :)
I love your reactions, listeened to a few. You dont comment after each line of every song. You dont talk too much through the songs but enjoy and listen. Such a pretty smile... very good job! I subscribed. Very good job
Jackson Browne produced Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy" album along with Waddy Wachtel, and co-wrote "Tenderness on the Block" with the late, great Zevon.
I saw this tour in helLA, Sarah... And as great as Jackson was/is, he was matched by the incomparable blues-heavy Bonnie Raitt, who also has great live tunes. And you already knew about DavidLindley. Of course. Thanx for another soulful reaction!
An amazing time for music from so many sources and styles. This could be what sounds familiar to you in this performance (if it's not screened and you receive it): The Four Seasons - Stay (Official Audio).
Thanks again Sarah! I see from what the other commenters are writing that the slide guitarist who sang the falsetto part of "Stay" was David Linley. He has a great song from the 80's called "Mercury Blues". Maybe it could be slid in at the bottom of your list? Take care,
Sarah, the medley I sent you with Jb & DL was Stay and Love Is. As always, great review. Happy that uou recognized David. It makes me sad to think he is gone. An immense talent with a huge heart
And that, boys and girls, is how you end a rock concert.

This tune is a Tribute to the Roadies.. The Band makes it Rock, Roadies make it Roll..😆💗😎
I named my chocolate lab Jackson Brown . He's the best.
