That looks like a tight fit but well worth it. Can't wait to see them Italy uploads.

This train was straight to Milan from Munich! However, I know the ÖBB has updated their schedules a bit this year...

Hi! Can you explain how did you booked for 2? I am sorry for my inexperience, but, I have traveled by night train 4 years ago, but made a mistake when purchasing the tickets. I bought 2 double sleeping coach and i got 2 different ones instead of 1 for my husband and myself. Because at the beginning it asks you how many passenger, so i put 2, then after you have to choose compartment for 1 or 2 etc., that is very confusing. If I choose 1, I do not want to be by myself, and if I choose double, dont want anyone else with me but my husband. hahaha

We can see how that would be frustrating! When you book on the OBB Website, you do put 2 people when you search. You will want to find a date where there is a sleeper (schlafwagen) compartment available, and then you will just select double (compartment for 2 persons). You should get options for compartment for 1 person (single), compartment for 3 people (triple) as well as variations with a WC as well. If you have to select the compartment type twice, then you have gone too far 😊. We think that OBB and the other sites have made it a bit more user-friendly over the past few years. Hope this helps!

Hi there, I have booked OBB Nightjet from Vienna to Berlin in May at Seating cariage, but I didn't chose compartment Coach 2nd class, I chose Comfort Ticket/Flex at Private compartment - exclusively for you or your group(max. 3 adults per compartment). Do you have any idea what the difference is? Is it better?
It is a little more expensive than compartment Coach 2nd class. We are 3 persons and we want to know if we can enjoy a little rest, bearing in mind that in the normal compartment we can make the seats into beds only if we are the only ones in the compartment of 6.
    Thanks.

Hi Alex - We have only booked the sleeper compartments, so we are not sure about the quality of rest you can get in a private sleeping compartment. However, we do know that if you book a private compartment, there is no chance someone else can be booked in your seating carriage. However, if you do not book a private compartment, you will be put in a seating carriage of 6, and there is a high chance that you will be placed with other passengers. Of course, there is always a slim chance that you could get the carriage to yourself, but it is not guaranteed unless you book the private compartment.
