From watching your tattoo flash videos I've learned on how to do my own flash sheets and drawings which landed me getting an apprenticeship for tattooing thanks
I prefer nib pens using the same black (liquid acrylic) I will be painting with over sharpies so the black lines match rest of the painting. Nibs also promote taking your time and feel more like tattooing to me because you have to be more careful about the angle and how much pressure you apply.
I recently bought a copic multi liner in size 1.0 (although it's one you cannot refill) it's a bit larger than the 08 and I absolutely love it! I've found that if I stain my watercolor paper (I do two coats) prior to drawing and inking it doesn't tear up the copics as much but still maintains some texture while painting... thank you for making these videos! I look forward to them every week 😊
You have exactly the same stuff that I use.... I love the micron pens , I'm not too fond of the sharpies anymore but all the other stuff works great Thanks for the video. ....peace
Jasper Atym Rochwite I think no matter what there will be a tiny bit of fuzziness. However, to get the least amount you need to try not to apply too much pressure, and move the marker as quickly/efficiently as possible. Obviously this takes practice so you don’t mess up (I’ve messed up so many times). Hope this helps!
I've been using sharpies and not happy with the lines, so I went and picked up some calligraphy pens so I can have better lines. Probly gunna be harder but maybe I'll learn something with ink pens
I find the Sharpies bleed so much, especially comparing the Ultra Fine to other markers of the same line weight. They also bleed through the page when you're just trying to work through a sketchbook. I've switched to the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen 1.5 - it's nearly as thick as the Sharpie but it doesn't bleed though pages. The only downside is alcohol-based Copic markers cause them to bleed so you need to stick with watercolor.
Hey man! The sound of the video is great! I've noticed that the Sharpies and the Copics have a different hue of black. The Sharpies are blue and the Copics are brownish, so I kinda stay away from using them on the same artwork
I know plenty of people that do that and it’s fine. You just want to make sure you aren’t cross contaminating with the pens. If you’re using a bic pen or something like that I would just use a brand new one for every person.
Reigan 95 adjust your hand speed and keep the angle consitent. Also thick paper absorb ink way faster so you'll have to go slower and replace your sharpies way to often... thin paper solved most of my line issues.

Tattooed Austin that's awesome man I'm glad to hear it!

Joe Pacheco I'm glad you enjoy the videos! I'm gonna have to give the 1.0 copic liner a try!
What do you stain it with? Are you using Arches?

Adam Ford I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'd like to get away from the sharpies and do more brush/ calligraphy lining but they work for now.
How do you get the sharpies to not have fuzzy edges???

This was so insightful, so cool to see what you use to draw! 😍
Love the video. I’m gonna try some new things with my flash...THANKS!!

alchapwn I just lined a whole piece with my calligraphy nibs yesterday and it definitely wasn't as good as I usually do but it was nice practice.
What about this pentel pocket brush ?

Super helpful, thanks for sharing your experience!
Yeah dude, your cool! Voice quality, information...how about ink color???

I'm not human, I'm dynamite interesting! I will have to take a look into that.
Ever tried glass pens?
+Scotty Nash I haven’t but they look really cool
Can I use regular pen for stencil on skin and tattoo over it ? Or can I catch ink poisoning!?

@@dqtattoos no I only tattoo myself stick n poke
Indian Ink is waterproof just re-fill cheap felt-tip pens with Talons Indian ink !!
It would be great if the sharpies were a consistent line weight 😠
Reigan 95 yeah I don't get much life out of them without "sharpening" them with an exacto knife.

I just realised I don't like shapies because of the same reason lol... **facepalm**
I use something else but the line techniques I use works for me
Micron pens are the way to go for this.
I really like how smooth the extra fine sharpy glides. But idk if it’s my paper I’m using or what, but they bleed like a mf.
Awesome work💝🇮🇳🌹
Yay thankyou :)
So you can use any of these on skin to create an outline?
This is about tattoo flash on watercolor paper, not actually on skin.
Vsauce if he were a tattoo artist
Iloveyou
Was in the supply store and noticed microns go up to 12 now! FAT
if ur never going to use that fine liner, switch the guts to the one you need that died.
That is a fantastic idea that I’d never considered. Thanks! :)
