Any media outlet with comments disabled should immediately have it's funding removed and shut down.
They do not serve the people

Comments are removed for a reason, the CBC is hopelessly biased and woke, and knows that 98% or more of the comments will be negative towards them. They need to compete with the market and see if they stand or fall, ON THEIR OWN, WITHOUT SUBSIDIES !!

it's not just their bias and their army of activists thinly disguised as journalists.
It's the overall quality of the programming. It's "rip and read" jornalism. They aren't even doing their own work - they're just taking wire stories and repeating them. When they begin a story with "CBC has learned..." it means they got it from another news source.
That combined with reporters using non-words like "busted" (as in "...he came home to find his front door busted in..."). That's just sloppy. And we're paying for it.

The CBC has done itself no favours by acting as the government's echo chamber for 9+ years. And Tait has managed to deliver declining ratings and declining ad revenues since she took the chair. It is time for the CBC to compete against CTV and Global on equal footing. If it survives, it will because the programmimg finally appeals to Canadians. If not, it will fade away like all failed businesses before it.
