great video bro. thank for making this DIY video for weekend warrior type people.. it still too much for me. so I just enjoy watching and let other do the fixing lol
To remove the caliper spring ,simply lever the middle of the clip towards the caliper ,it pops out of the 2 holes , also to release the wear sensor ,simply pry the small wire up a fraction and the plug pulls out . Bit of butchery in parts of this video, but great overall. Very helpful.
1- please make another video of if your had any problems with are since you have hit 100k mark 2-Please make a video doing transmission service (fluid change and filter)
Great video, thank you. I am having trouble getting 2015 C300 to go into workshop mode so I can release the brake to replace them. I was able to do it once but it took a bunch of tries. Any suggestions?
Does it matter what brake pad goes where on the rear? the brake pad with the sensor should be on the inside right? And when I put the caliper on I had issues getting it back on is it the brake pads not being in there right location? And yes I did push in the piston on the caliper so it’s not that. And by the way thank you for the video , much needed!
Its a best practice to sand the rotor every time a new pad goes. You should be able to take it to a shop to do that so that the pad and rotor stick together without gaps
Hey Durbin, thanks for making these awesome videos in the Mercedes! Really helps out! Any way you can do a video of how to change the shock/strut on on this ? Thanks! And keep up the great work with the videos!
I think the manual says spark plugs every 40,000 miles. I have a video on those as well. I don’t believe in wasting the money on the brake fluid changes
Love your videos. Hope you can help. I bought an 09 c300, love it. When i push on the brakes it has a sound that repeats every 3 seconds until i let off. Is that the pads, rotor or wheel bearing.? Can it be something else?
2 questions, is there only one sensor on the 2015 c300 model as well, also do you have to replace the sensor each time you change the pads? I just bought pads and one sensor for the job tomorrow.

Man, I am so angry. My wife had to go from BMW to Mercedes and I fix all our cars. This is over engineering on steroids. BMW brakes are soooooo easy and fast. Now I have to get a special tool to compress the caliper? Ughhh. I don't understand what the ebtake is even for! Thanks for showing us. I subscribed.
The ebrake is the most annoying thing. It’s not designed for stopping and getting out driving. Every time you open the driver door it clamps down. Then if you want to move the car with the door open, you have to manual release it. Not to mention the safety feature where it dumps it into park while the car is still rolling if you open the driver door
@@TheDurbinCompound Just terrific. Sounds like an over engineered dumb idea. Hopefully there is a good reason for it and someone out there will fill me in. Thanks for the reply :) Edit : And Tha brake pad wear sensor is so much easier less intrusive on the BMW. This one has tiny exposed wires, cheap connection set up. Almost seems like they forgot about it and added it in at the end :)
On my BMW, I push back the pistons with a pry bar between the old brake pads. I’m sure this is possible with a MB. You can also rent a caliper tool for free from most auto parts stores. Generally, I’ve found my wife’s MB to be no more over engineered than my BMw.

Hey Durbin, I used your videos to replace front and rear pads on a GLC 300 - both times worked perfect. Thank you!
To release power tools are better and efficient to tighten back up by hand or torque wrench
Great video. Should save me a lot of money. Only one question should you not use brake grease/lube before you put the new pads in?
You need to clean and lube 2 sliding pins
Thanks very much for tutorial, it's very clear. 💯👍👍👍

Great video.. I noticed you didn't lube pads or pins. Is it needed? thx

Thanks very great video just like your front one Thanks so much
6x6 is an excellent choice for jack stand on a low profile car!
I always keep a bunch of cribbing readily available. No excuse for no safety
Well done! Not a pro, but very detailed video and that's more important. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate you.

When will you change the spark plug ? Did you do break flush ? How much your dealler charge for break flush ? Thank. You

so useful to see this video Thanks
Amazing video brother 👍👍👍👍
Good job 👍
Great detail

Yes definitely sounds brake related.
By the way, any suggestions on how to stop the squealing when backing out?
Nope. Haven’t been able to remedy this myself either
Good work bro 👍👍🥃🥃

Only sensors on the passenger side of the car. Front and rear if it is not damaged. You can reuse
@@TheDurbinCompound Thank you! Very much appreciated and your video was spot on💯
Can you show us how to do the front brake pads, I can not find a good video that shows it. Thank you
No lube on the rear of the pads or pins?
Do you have video for replacing the front brakes on the w205 c300? I can't find anything showing details. Thanks
I will soon! I’m ordering them soon!
Nice video! Which lugnut socket are you using?
ATD tools nylon sleeved sockets, they have held up great!

Do you know if it’s similar on 2019 model?
Well said great vid 👏 👍
What does fitting position do exactly ?
Is it possible to change the rear pads without the fitting position little manoeuvre ?
Once you set the rear epb to service mode did you turn the car off or leave it on
I turned the car off
After re engaging the epb do you have to pump the brakes before starting or the epb takes car of theirs? Thx again
@@teddiazjr.6223 nope, don’t need to pump the brakes

Any different with the C450 AMG???
Where’s your luuube? No brake paste on pad mounts and slide pins?
hey man, can you hit a link for the brake pads that you are using?
Cheers!
Well done
Hi Durbin, what is the part number of the break pads and sensor?
Hey Durbin, What is the part number of those pads? I'm confused because those pads comes for AMG sport pack and without the Sport P.? Thanks
Sorry it took me so long to reply! The part I have for this is 0004206700 from AutoHausAZ. These are the AMG (Sport) package brake pads.
@@TheDurbinCompound Thank you So much!
Do we need to change the Disk too ? Rotor ?
No, not if it is in good shape
What torque setting did you use for the bolts?
The brake caliper bolts? 12ft-lbs, just past snug basically.
Cheers
Thank you
thx brother
super!
Push brake pedal several times before moving!
Do both sides have the sensors?
Only on passenger side
@@TheDurbinCompound thanks 👍👍👍
When I press and hold “OK” and “call” at the same time the menu does not come up. Vehicle is in position 1.
You actually need to hit the phone button first and then press okay. Not at the same time.
