    Great review! I also took a look at this pack on my channel alongside the CHZ 22 and the LV18 from 5.11. The Whitley wears a bit differently to those packs IMO - I'm conscious that it's not hugging my back as much. Still, a comfy bag to wear and the organisation is excellent: they manage to give you a lot of it but not overcomplicate things.

    Love the new wall!! I’m with you, no need for 2 water bottle holders. Same for the interior mesh pocket…kinda silly

    16:15 The small zipper pocket is that way intentionally, so that main compartment contents don’t clash with the zipper pocket contents. I agree it could be 1 inch taller, but think about how many people carry a CAP2L. That zipper pocket can never interfere with the space the CAP2 occupies now.

      Truth. I think that’s it - but I still want a bigger pocket! :)

      @@ThePerfectBag Agreed, it would be nice! My bigger wish for this bag is that he would make an identical bag scaled up to ~25L. The Whitley is just slightly too small for me sometimes (especially in the winter). I'm finding the GR1 26L to work OK for me in the winter as an alternative, but can't wait to go back to the Whitley for the comfort and organization. The Whitley is just so darn comfortable for me.

    Hmm this or the Ablecarry daily plus? 🤔

      You know what? I actually haven’t had the Daily Plus to review yet! I have the max and the day breaker….but not that one. So I couldn’t tell you - but I can predict you wouldn’t be unhappy with either.

      @@ThePerfectBag ya I’ve been watching reviews on both. Looks like the Whitley checks all the boxes for me. Only downside I’ve noticed is there’s no lifetime warranty, only a 5 year and you have to keep up with the original receipt to use it.

    Nice Video.. I'm in-between this pack, and either the Aer City Pack or the new Aer Pro Pack 20. I need something for a personal item on flights and solid daily carry. Specifically BA flights this year.. Any Suggestion regarding each?

    • @ThePerfectBag
      @ThePerfectBag  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Man - all good bags. I haven’t tried the pro pack from aer yet. You can’t go wrong with the city pack in XPAC. If you haven’t already - be sure to check the Vanquest Addax 25 - it’s my favorite backpack currently. The Timbuk2 Astro gaming collab I recently reviewed would also be a fun carryon bag.

    It looks like they updated it: removable logo (now Velcro) and taller laptop sleeve (to make it almost a separate compartment effectively) makes me wonder I should trade in my City Pack Pro for one 🤔

    I have finally found the bag for me! I've been wanting the Aer City Pack Pro for ages but didn't like the fact it didn't have 2 water bottle pockets lol I'm team water bottle and umbrella on the outside because I commute for uni. This bag looks perfect for me :~)

      The updated bag (released summer 2023) is lighter, has a removable velcro logo, and the laptop compartment is taller and the access has been widened. Definitely refined!

    I think most people use second water bottle pocket for an umbrella or a coffee container.

    • @ThePerfectBag
      @ThePerfectBag  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That makes sense to me. I just wonder if it would be better to replace with a pocket that had closure. But yes - I've used for umbrella and also for my battery backup.

    How do you find the Whitley compares to the Alpaka Elements Pro backpack when it comes to space? I know the Elements Pro is 26 L but something about it looks less spacious.

    • @ThePerfectBag
      @ThePerfectBag  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're pretty perceptive. The Whitley is advertised as 6L smaller than the ALpaka PRO BUT the Whitley does feel slightly bigger to me. I think that's because the Whitley has a full clamshell and the Alpaka Elements PRO has a fairly tight access as it only is a half zip. The space inside is comparable, but the whitley feels more wide open. The alpaka is more intentionally minimalist in feel, and you have to 'stuff it' to get full use of the 26L if that makes sense, it draws back to a fairly slim form factor when not full. I'm doing a full review soon!

    to defend the "2 water bottle holders", I carry my water and a small 8oz insulated bottle for my coffee. I sip my coffee and if I use a to-go cup 3/4th's of my coffee would be cold.

    really like all the features... but it honestly looks boring, which can be a good thing because it won't attract too much attention on the outside. putting this on my birthday list. i always look for 2 water bottle holders... i have young kids.

    • @ThePerfectBag
      @ThePerfectBag  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice! Yeah - I think it’s intentionally plain - either for minimalism or not to grab attention, or to play well professionally or to appeal to a wider audience … whatever the reason, blacked out simple exteriors seem to be all the rage
