  • CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE
    ✔️Ingredients
    1/2 cup unsalted butter(softened) [115 grams]
1/2 cup brown sugar [100 grams]
1/2 cup white sugar [100 grams]
1 whole egg (large) [60 grams]
    1 & 1/4 cups all purpose flour [168 grams]
    1 tbsp cornstarch [8 grams]
1/2 tsp baking soda [0.7 gram]
    1/4 tsp salt [1.5 gram]
1 cup chocolate chips [150 grams]
    📝
    1. Cornstarch helps the cookie to have its soft & chewy interior. You may skip this if preferred.
    2. Skip the salt if using salted butter.
    3. Butter is softened.
    4. Chilling the dough helps the cookie to hold its shape when baked.
    5. The recipe yields 18 pieces. (approx. 40-45 grams each when baked)
    Bake in a preheated oven @ 170 C or 350 F for 14-16 mins.
⁉️Baking temp. & time may vary on the type of oven. Alter accordingly.
I used conventional oven with bottom heat only.

Why bakers always say to not over mix the cookie dough or any batter? This is because we are just mixing just to combine all the ingredients whereas kneading takes a lot of effort and time to form gluten and make it elastic. With this cookie dough, we want it to be moist and chewy so stop mixing when you no longer see traces of flour.

I have a tip with this, DONT WORK TO MUCH WITH THE DOUGH. Some cookies might come out like a stone, thats because over mixing your dough can build up the gluten. Making it hard as stone when being served.

I only used brown sugar 3/4 cup and added 1 tsp vanilla. BEST cookies ever!!! Stayed chewy for days. The corn starch is what makes these cookies chewy. YUM!!!

I've tried making chocolate chip cookies so many times and could never get it right and I finally did it😭 The only thing extra I added was a little vanilla extract, and I didn't chill the dough. Not to hi-Jack the video but rather just a cool tip.
Baking cookies is great, but the process? If you don’t always have time, then up the recipe, make a huge batch.
Once the batch is mixed, lay cling wrap on the counter. Pour the batter onto the cling wrap, spread the batter into a long log, close the cling wrap. Tie the tails of the cling wrap and roll the wrapped batter on the counter.
You now have homemade Pillsbury cookies! It freezes. You just need to get used to quantity/cookie.
My batter rolls are about 2.5” in diameter so I cut pieces 3/4” thick, then slice the pieces into 1/4’s. Place the round side down on baking sheet. Cook from frozen. If your cookie cook time is 10 minutes you likely need 12-13 minutes. (Just cutting slices and baking gives you thin dried out cookies)
Now you can conveniently have homemade cookies in under 20 minutes with less fuss. 😉
I typically have 4 different variety of cookie batters in my freezer, but prefer to bake 4 cookies of each variety.

    • @YeastMode
      @YeastMode  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Vanilla is not essential to the texture of the cookie although it can enhance the flavor. There are lot of flavors already going on from the chocolate content, butter & sugar. With or without vanilla, there won't be a very noticeable difference. Just wanted to simplify the recipe. :)

Just made it with an airfryer with some adjustments!!
    1. I used 3/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 of white sugar
    2. No starch (i'll try og next time )
    3. I filled them with frozen choco spread balls
    4. Preheat the airfryer for 4mins at 175°C then bake for 6-8 mins at 160°C
SO CHEWY AND SOFT!! MUY DELICIOSO!
