Arguments?? Imo, Power Blade 2 is damn BETTER. PB1 was like playing the same level for 6 times, ladders everywhere, making it like a labyrinth. Nothing special happens between the levels. PB2 is more straightforward with more abilities, better graphics. Both had great music though.
Keep an eye out in Goodwill for that scarce opportunity, I guess. I found a copy for about 37 cents back in 2004 but I no longer own it and collecting's a lot more popular than it was.
I discovered this game when I was just playing random NES games I never heard of on an emulator. Great and fun gameplay. I have the stage 3 theme in my music playlist. It’s so good to listen to.

I remember owning this game for the NES in the 90s. In fact, my dad bought it for me for a birthday present if I remember correctly. He hid it in the kitchen and I found it. I wish I still owned this game but it goes for a lot of money today.

This game is so vintage. These kids have no idea how hard we had it. No discs Blowing your oxygen hard into a cartridge, then to catch your breath in order to play. No batteries in the controller. Manual insert cheat codes. 8 bit 16 bit 64 bit. #WeStartedFromTheBottom
I had wireless nes controllers but I could never afford the batteries. One controller got messed up when the batteries leaked but that was ok because the buttons were big ovals on an angle so it was a pretty useless layout anyway.

I remember playing and beating this game when I was 12, at first I had no idea that you can kill the mid bosses to use their abilities and in fact I didn't even notice the doors until a friend of mine told me about them, I used to go all the way to the end parts of the game and lose all of my tries because I didn't have the ability to make my life easier.
Same here, although I never beat a single level. Just played for the sake of playing. I was a poor kid from Poland with a knock off Famicom clone. But it was minę Famicom clone...

Never knew Taito made a sequel. This game is one of the more shameless Rockman/Mega Man clones, but definitely has a lot of interesting elements. It's hard to remember back when the RM/MM series was actually relevant (instead of Capcom just letting it stagnate now). Taito (SE) should release a port of its 8-Bit games, including both Power Blade and Power Blade 2, as well as some of the ones unknown outside Japan like Don Doko Don series. Edit: Nevermind, I've seen this game used in Akihabara for ages now, but it's called Captain Saver lol. Always wanted to pick it up but can't justify the $200-400+ price tag the stores charge. Several months ago one even had a complete copy in bad shape and that still cost ~$200. Guess I'd never watched gameplay though, just screenshots, otherwise I would have definitely made the purchase.

The plot doesn't make a lot of sense. Are the bad guys called Delta Foundation or SP, first of all? What reason does the Department of Defense have to turn them down? And are they simply giving their own country's military first pick or selling their super-soldier technology to the highest bidder?
I am kicking myself in the face for selling this game, Bucky O' Hare, and Little Samson 15 yrs ago. Seen the price for them today, and immediately put tattoo of "dumbass" on my forehead!
Bob Jones - have you seen a Let's Play for The Magic of Scheherazade? There's one video on the game here on TH-cam that's almost 5 hours long...along with Dick Tracy and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (more than a hour a piece) as well as Back to the Future Parts 2 and 3 (almost 3 hours long) plus Wizards and Warriors 3: Visions of Power (1 hour, 45 minutes). It depends on the individual game and how well the person can play it.

If you'll look at how unimaginative and generic modern gaming is in general, i'd say we started at the top.
