I'm very fond of the commentary bit that David Mitchell says about this, how he's talking about the one particular king that, in his history teacher's mind, "was hated not so much for his homosexuality as for his failure to properly dispense peerage". That means the sketch is meaningful and teaches you stuff!
Patrick Phelan Did David confirm which king he was talking about? I get the impression it's Edward II maybe? It's a bit hard to tell for certain because obviously they've hyped it up for comic effect
