Love this video style, makes it all look so easy. I get flamed constantly trying this in solo queue d3-c1 level. It's exhausting to field the toxicity but it works everytime I get a teammate that positions well.
Thank you! I agree, its such a shame people just don't seem to get it. The other issue is, once people know to play like this, it feels impossible to play the old way as it makes no sense. Appreciate the support :)
I think that most people don't want to use this method because it needs activation of a certain organ that a lot of players would rather not try searching for. Usually the mentality is to chase (not always in a smart way) and it maintains people at the same rank for a long time. I'm usually playing with a friend who's around C1, and we play in C3-GC1 lobbies which seem easier with him than in solo queue, just because we focus in defence, we don't go unless necessary. The main thing of ranked 2s is that people would rather blame their mate for not saving the ball than actually trying themselves to play defensive. Instead, they will try something flashy, giving up possession, and putting their mate in an awkward position, and concede.
Just hit my new Peak after watching apparently Jax new video basically saying to be overly positive to your teammates and take responsibility for everything bad that happens make you play better make your teammates play better
16:43 - maybe it would be helpful to think of some challenges as trying to get a "first touch" on the ball for control rather than simply getting a piece of the ball?
@@AirChargedGaming yeah, in that situation maybe more looking for a "dispossession" rather than a drive challenge. But that's mostly for my own mental note :)
This is good advice. But one thing I disagree about is the flick and aerials/mechanics comments. I suspect it might be this way in higher GC, ironically, but in C1-C3 my experience is that most opponents I face do actually do a lot of flicks and aerial mechanics. And good ones at that. Which to a higher ranked player might not be a problem, but for me is very hard to handle. When I play with my GC1-GC2 friend I feel more comfortable because I don't feel I get a lot of mechanics against me to defend. So when in C1-C3, I don't think the answer is only "don't worry about mechanics, because GC3's don't do them". C1's do them, and they are very hard to defend against. Again, solid advice, but what to do when you actually come against mechy players who can actually totally embarass you and read your every frkin move? It honestly feels helpless. Even simple flicks, I do one wrong tiny move or I challenge 0.3 seconds too late and they time a perfect 45 degree flick top corner, every god darn time. Don't get me wrong, I like the video, just feel so frustrated and hopeless.
Appreciate the comment. Most of the time, space has been given too much by 1st man, and too many dive challenges have been done, as opposed to being in front of the player moving with them and then slowing down and jumping to block the ball goal side, as opposed to diving across position. Of course this is easier said than done, but that is the idea :)
36:45 It seems you have changed the transition speed from instant to something slower. Do you find it better or will you go back to instant transition?
Great questions. This is actually preceps camera, not my own, I am the player with the football decal car. However, I have spoken to preceps about this and he prefers a quick camera so he gets intel faster, but doesn't like instant. Merry Christmas!
@AirChargedGaming Thanks for the reply! I realze u jumped the cam between yours and his during video somehow didn't think of it during that part ^_^ Merry Christmas! I love the instant cam myself and started using it after I saw you using it.
Just subscribed. Great video. Been an on and off rocket league player. But i definitely want to use your strategies to become a more consistent and better player. This game is still my number one after all these years.
These are gc1 players versing a diamond and a borderline ssl, where you consistently just cut the ball away from your lower rank mate thats sitting in net 80% of the game. This "pacifist" strategy is just soft boosting up untill the point where you cant 2v1 anymore. The attitude and the vibe of the video was nice though c:
I think this was their GC2 promotion game. It's not actually a 2v1, it might appear that way because you are so accustomed to players constantly rotating for no reason. With this, the rotation is only done when required, or called if the 2nd man has spotted something.
These opponents are low GC1, and are currently both C3. Still interesting seeing a low-mid diamond player in this lobby, but it's far from consistent GC2 players.
@mzako7448 I try to be the last man most of the time, but the 2 of them oftentimes don't position themselves defensively at all when I am let's say on the air just cleared the shot, and I need some time to come down from the air, in that moment I can't do anything and it being 3s, someone is obviously gonna go for that previously cleared ball. Now if the other 2 don't position defensively, then we are screwed. So being the last man still isn't really the answer a lot of the time. I think we need a good 3v3 strategy. And there aren't that much info on 3s as there's on 2s on youtube. I like to play 3s too, but it is often quite frustrating.
Can I still do this if I don't have a teammate? I'm looking for a good strategy to boost my mmr because I'm stuck at c1 right now after being c3 and like 3 games off gc before the season reset
Is this still viable when you and your teammates are struggling with shadow defense? Seems like it's a key part of the system. I think that's why we're taught early to rotate.
100% shadowing is a big part of it, because its such an important skill that people don't seem to want to learn in the middle ranks now, which can hard stick them when they get to ranks where people can shadow challenge. However, if you cannot shadow challenge or shadow well essentially drive down the middle to force them out to the sides. However, its really important to train shadowing :D
The Pacifist System is highly aggressive in my opinion. It's just controlled aggression. Do you want to go into a fight throwing one haymaker after another round after round ? (That's the way a lot of people play RL) OR do you want to fight like Mohammed Ali ? Wearing down your opponents until it's time to strike. (That's the Pacificst system.)

Congrats on how close the sub goal is! 9.7 K!
Thank you so much, cannot believe how close it was in the end! :)

So true, it's a lot of just rushing without any substance. Really appreciate that comment, thank you 💪😁
Great demonstration of the Pacifist system! Thanks for that and the analysis! GG guys!

Ah I think I see what you're saying, as in looking for a control touch?
@@AirChargedGaming yeah, in that situation maybe more looking for a "dispossession" rather than a drive challenge. But that's mostly for my own mental note :)
@vancityr6485 that's a good call I'll make a note of that, some people find different wording easier 💪😞

Currently in silver on switch lite and got a couple of back to back wins employing this kind of strategy. Long way to go but seeing the difference.
Amazing, great stuff 💪😁

Weird, I thought they would be gc2 I was 1600 in this match but you might be right!
Hey man, we really need a 3v3 version of it. It works like a charm in 2v2, but in 3v3 i am lost.
Hard with 3s, as you always have a last man
@@AirChargedGaming My experience with 3v3 solo q (C3) has been ... no, you don't have a last man

I already play very similar to this as I've only been playing for 4 months... I'm gold 3 almost plat 1. If anyone near me wants to run 2s let me know!
Amazing progress! 💪😁
That’s very good. This game is NOT easy to learn. 😄

Hey! You can try but it wont be as effective as having a teammate. However, when done correctly, it can be extremely potent, even in solo queue :)
Is this still viable when you and your teammates are struggling with shadow defense? Seems like it's a key part of the system. I think that's why we're taught early to rotate.

I love that analogy, controlled aggression! Have a great Xmas brother! :)
GC3 game in casual or you mean this is a ranked Gc3 lobby?
@@thaddeus1519 this is gc2 ranked, accidentally said GC3 but it was gc2
End of season gc2 so like true 1400s
Maybe it would be better to call it the Ying and Yan method.
No it should just be called fundamental positioning.
no one in that first game is 1mmr higher than champ 2
You haven't been listening it seems xD
