    Love your content, coach. Problem for me is that players like that "Boxky" guy are so prevalent that it makes the climb tedious and frustrating. When I was playing football and basketball on the playground at recess when I was 6 years old, we didn't have such anti-teammates ruining the experience for everyone, and as an adult who loves playing sports and games, I just don't have the patience to deal with that in the limited time I have for it. There aren't any consequences for their bad behavior, and if I don't want to play with someone like that, the system threatens to suspend me for leaving instead of the bad actor for sabotaging. Sure, organized leagues can help, but what if I don't have time for that? And I've joined the various Discords, including yours, but it's just not very effective for finding good people to play with at random times. When I was a kid, I could join or host an online game and have fun right away with decent people at nearly any time. But now, solo queueing just seems like a recipe for frustration. I've watched all of your Pacifist videos and it has transformed my gameplay, but would it really be worth investing the time in hundreds of matches to climb the ranks in a system like this? I don't know anymore.

    Hey it's Vox! Thanks for the shoutout man. To anyone who may wonder, I got my GC rewards and am currently sitting at 1440. I initially hit GC by teaming up with a solid teammate who also follows a pacifist system playstyle (and has a heck of a flick). I then solo queued, lost GC for a little bit, and got it back today via solo q. AirCharged can attest to this, I am sure. I had the same typical issues most players in the current meta have. I am not particularly mechanical (I can't flip reset or even flick consistently), and I struggled with overly aggressive challenges and a lack of presence in my plays. The pacifist system helped improve my decision making for sure and really expand upon my own playstyle. The best part is, it's not a super rigid system. I like my ground-to-air plays, and I can use them just fine with this system. Once you take the time to learn the fundamentals and what the ideas are of the system, you will learn just how many options on the field are really available to you, even in solo q. Not only that, you learn how to adapt those decisions to you and your lobby's current skills and situation. There are some lobbies I play where my g-t-a plays are simply not good enough, so I don't go for them. Other times, they're worth going for every time because the ball is just going in or we are way up in goals. I can't recommend the pacifist system enough. It's a great system, and I simply can't express enough just how thoughtful and supportive Aircharged and his team of coaches are. Really genuine guys, really great community, and better than getting GC, the pacifist system helped me enjoy Rocket League more than I ever have before.

    Suppose you see your teammate doesn't get the boost and opponent is coming with the ball grounded. Its not very clear who will reach midboost first from your POV. Then do you take the midboost or still leave it and take the risk

    • @AirChargedGaming
      @AirChargedGaming 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If its not clear, I will take it, I want to secure it for my team, so I am willing to take it off my teammate if I think they will lose, obviously don't do this if you are going to get bumped, or the opponent is pushing towards the net and you left it :D, great question though! :)

  • @dev__adi
    @dev__adi 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I can't believe how many times I've been in the situation you showed at 10:00 and everytime I'd also race to the boost thinking I'll get it before all of them. But it never works out. Either i do win the boost but then i am not able to do anything with the ball and if i let it fall then its hard to defend 1v2. Or I just get bumped by teammate or opponent leaving us in the worst possible position. I know my biggest mistake if prioritising boost over ball so this was a really useful insight

    • @AirChargedGaming
      @AirChargedGaming 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hahah yeah, its a tough one, often they will burn that boost so quick on a high ball they waste it. But even on a lower ball if you just attack its better than prioritising the boost as you will have the step on the opponent for the counter :)

      @@AirChargedGaming I could see the BJJ for sure. But specifically it would be cool to see someone like you train boxing. Cuz I think most people with your style brain tend to teach BJJ, hard to find that type of coach who can break things down and really help people grasp fundamentals for boxing specifically. And i'm guessing its because teaching it in that technical like straight down to the core style, step by step way is probably more challenging due to unseen nuances that they arnt articulating. Idk id freaking love you to train boxing bro. Easier for most to say work on these mechs, get faster, make better decisions etc, score etc. Then literally 4+ hours only of just diff types of shadow training and fully making sure they get the mentality of the shadow and all its variation, before he even gets to try to rank up etc.

    What is the point of the second man shadow? If your first man challenges (as they should) and gets some kind of kill 50, then it’s going to be a free ball that the opponent can control with 0 pressure and a ton of space. If you face the play as second man that wouldn’t happen. If you’re facing the play and the 50 flies behind your teammate, then you can simply turn and collect it up the wall or whatever, so as long as you’re covering your net, isn’t it more useful to face the play as second man to prevent the opponent from having free control after the 50?

    • @AirChargedGaming
      @AirChargedGaming 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question, in the situation we did the 2nd man shadow, is due to a few factors, the first was we are on the press, so I don't have any protection behind me like I would nearer our goal as I would have the wall to protect me, forcing the opponents to be accurate so its easier to face the play and move into it. The second is, preceps has lost that ball high and there 2nd man is moving in. At higher levels its expected that they will go for an air dribble flip reset, and not just give possession away. In that situation, if I face forward I am flat footed and a shot behind me is a guaranteed goal. If they do go into the air I can only challenge facing them which means it doesn't allow map space time for recovery. So instead we shadow as they go up to hover and waste time for our 1st man to come back, or to collect the ball easily if they shoot. If they fluff the shot, like they do, then you can turn and move in. But you always want to protect the net as 2nd man and go on offence as a secondary objective. Hope that makes sense :)

      @@AirChargedGamingThank you so much for taking the time to answer! Yes I think I understand. I’m assuming it also helps that preceps is trying to do the drag backs and lose the 50s to you?

      Hahah, well its okay to do that in 3v3 because last man should cover net, 2nd man is supposed to cover the closer outcome so you can keep control of the ball :)

    Hey I have a question. This seems to 100% contradict what a lot of players have been teaching along the years, and also kinda goes differently from what you've been teaching a long time ago. Not trying to be toxic or annoying, I really want to learn and I think you got a really good grasp on this so I'm looking for a discussion and explanation. So, I find the logic of shielding the center of the pitch really smart and it does make a lot of sense. But then I've been trying this in the game and it creates a lot of weird situations I might be messing up somehow. For example, this triangle defense goes out to in, the opposite from what you recomend. Also shadow defense, I do realize that doing an outside shadow creates the problem of exposing the center, allowing easier bump plays and also eventually leads to exposing the far post in case they simply go down the win and then play in-field. So I really like the idea of shadow innward shadow defending. But as I try to hide myself behind the ball or the enemy's name plate, I find that even if I have a good distance It's way harder to hit the ball to safety. I get all juked up, sometimes I don't even touch it and it just flies above me. Does innward shadow function better on slow plays? Maybe outside triangle is better in faster plays? I feeling I have is that it works great until it doesn't you know? Like there are some stuff the enemy is doing that doesn't make it work or at least makes it more difficult for me. Could you try to clarify this for me? I really wanna learn how to play this game properly, and I really think you are the most knowledged person nowadays in this game. Thank for the content! :)

      Great question and thank you for the support, means a lot! I would say the ultimate art is to put the opponent into a path they don't truly want with your positioning and movement. You can absolutely move to the sides of the ball to create better angles to make the save, but ideally you want to stay with the ball, so its nice to move with it. Realistically you want to work as a team to have one funnelling, one goal keeping, and then whoever makes the save (if they end up unable to move like by double jumping) have the other player move into the ball. Its hard to explain, hopefully my upcoming replay analysis video shows how you can use movement, positioning and boost grabs to force easier plays, even at a higher rank :)

      @@AirChargedGaming Thank you for the reply! I didn't quite get the idea yet sorry xD But I'm looking forward to watch you new replay analysis, they are always great! As of right on this moment, what do you think would be the best way to learn the game with your videos? Anything I should leave out? Start with the pacifist system? Or should just focus on the most recent videos? Thank you so much <3
