- Showing the steps I take when preparing for a Samsung trade-in. This year I'm trading in my Galaxy S23 Ultra for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, both are amazing phones.
Thanks for stopping by.

About to trade in my S22+ for an S25+. Can't lie, all of the posts online about Samsung denying trade ins or switching out devices has got me stressed. This video is what I needed 👍.
Get lots of pics and a couple videos, and you'll be in good shape. Thanks for stopping by.
One question, I didn't receive my return shippement label, and now I'm confused how I return my old phone! Do you have any idea?
@@RADERTECH idk if there is these problems but glad I watched this if there were
Yup. I diligently packed my Tab S7+ and my Note 8 in the same box Samsung shipped my S8 Ultra in, with the same protective packaging and I wrapped both items in two layers of bubble wrap and taped them air tight.
I also took many pictures of both devices with the shipping labels next to them. Pictures were front and back, on and off. Super resolution. Both devices were in perfect shape and had glass screen protectors and cases on their entire life.
Get multiple emails from Samsung saying that my Tab S7+ had a cracked screen and they didn't receive my Note 8, even though it was in the same box. I called them and told them there's no way the Tablet could have been damaged unless the box was damaged because of the amount of packaging I used, and the Note 8 had the same packaging and was in the same box because they only provided 1 shipping label for both devices.
I told them I have many pictures of the devices with the shipping labels for reference. They asked me to email the pictures.
About 30 minutes later I got two confirmation emails saying that there would be no chargebacks on my account.
My advice to anyone doing the trade in with Samsung is to take a lot of pictures before shipping!
I hope you get the same resolution I did, best of luck!
Good deal, I'm glad you got resolution, they try to pull that crap on people. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Glad i read this nd saw the video. Im trading my galaxy watch 4 classic for the galaxy 7 ultra. Screen protector the whole time. My mom wore it maybe 3x. Was too much going on for her. No dings, scratches, cracks. Even the bands newer looking. Now my actual classic 47mm...yeh it got a whuppin lol. Screen is uncracked. Paints scratched around the bezel nd theres a slight scratch or sumthin the face. Looks like a clear white line. Cant feel it but i see it. So i opted for hers instead. 😅
Appreciated 🎉 Best of luck everyone. ❤ been most helpful gratitude to u all. 😅
I thought about doing the boxing up process inside of the fedex shipping center & video it with location tag on
NICE!!! That's awesome!
Don't blame you. I've had issues 2 out 3 trade-ins. The last phone I traded in was apparently taken out of the box during shipping or at the destination. It was straight up stolen. I'm always nervous trading in with Samsung now. I never know what sort of surprise I'm going to get.
Oh dang, I'm sorry to hear that, that sucks. It's nerve wracking and frustrating. Thanks for stopping by.
I traded in a lot i noticed item get reject are mostly brand new looking item, or small like watches. While tablet alway get approved. My thought is that someone's work there alway swapping bad watch for good one. That why most of my trade in device look beat up or have scratched but always get approcved except something brand new. Samsung need ro monitors all those worker who does the boxes opening and inspecting before turning a customer into a victims
You could be on to something, for sure.
Thats because the people checking are border crossing scammers as well as samsung😂😂😂samsung is loving it because its more profit for them.
You can never be too careful, my wife always takes my "old" phone, so I never get to trade it in 😲😉
Ha ha, gotta keep the Mr's happy! Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you.
You're welcome, thanks for stopping by.
Yep I tell everyone the same thing. Good they started putting the return label when they ship it out now.
👍Thanks for stopping by!
I never got a return label... any suggestions?

wish i watched this before sending mine off. i did take a video showing the screen, back and camera. But didn't get any footage of it powered up or my packaging. my FedEx tracking number says it was delivered on the 21st . the Samsung trade in status page says still in transit 😮
Sorry for the slow reply. Hopefully you've received a confirmation email from Samsung saying they've received your device by now. It does take a bit though.
WHAT ENEDED UP HAPPENING?
@@miajose660 looking for an update?!
Muchas gracias! este video me ayudó muchísimo....! Dios te bendiga
De nada, ¡gracias por pasar por aquí!
Old guys like me love videos like this! I will be doing this in a few weeks!
Awesome comment! Sorry for the slow reply, been crazy busy at work. I hope you enjoy it when you get it!
@@RADERTECH Good timing, I will be getting it tomorrow instead of the 6th of March!
cool that you have video equipment setup for similar activities like unboxings, most people don't have a tripod much less a flexi-arm
Thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I'm really happy with my little setup. I actually acquired most of this when setting up my other channel for drones several years ago. It's all still holding up very well.
Thank you so much!

Thanks for the video . I wasn't gonna trade in my fold 3 but then i seen what Samsung was giving me for trade in which is 900 .. i said yes please. Plus got that awesome carbon black fold 6 , 512gb wih no extra cost for memory why not . Plus 14 a month for insurance where as T-Mobile was gonna give me 200 for a trade in for a upgrade and im paying 24 a month for insurance...it was a no brainer .....
Nice! That Carbon Black looks really nice. I didn't notice the cool pattern on it when I went to order (in a hurry), else I might have ended up picking the same. Sounds you like a great deal for the fold 3 trade-in, heck yeah. Thanks for stopping by.
Do you send the trade in devide after you receive the new one?
Mine is arriving February 26, and they want me to send my trade in by 17
That sounds odd. They shouldn't be asking you for your trade-in device before you actually get your new one. You should have about 10 days (it might even be 14 now) with the new device before they have you send your trade-in device back in. For example, I've had the S24U for 3 days now, so my device trade in isn't due for another week. I would open a chat window on Samsung site to have them give you more time. They shouldn't have a problem doing it, I've done that a couple times now. Thanks for stopping by.
we do this after getting the new phone?? i plan to trade in my s20 fe soon for a zfold6
That's correct. Wait until you get your new phone, and use the outer box that it arrives in for sending back your trade-in device. You'll have roughly 2 weeks or so to complete your trade-in, and Samsung will send you plenty of reminders. Thanks for stopping by.
Very important video
Thank you kindly, appreciate you stopping by!
Is that a prepaid or do we need to pay the charges
The amount they give you for trade-in is deducted from your order total while paying, it's really nice.
I traded in my s24 ultra and im lowkey nervous I got plenty pictures and videos as proof and it bothers me that it takes 20 days for them to access my device which to me anything can happen within those 20 days. I live near a Samsung store and it’s shocking that they don’t accept trade ins in store compare to Apple they just take your phone at the store.
It is indeed nerve wracking. So far I've only got confirmation they received 1 of my 3 trade in devices. Get ready to reach out them via chat if they try screwing you over. It's worked for me 100% of the time so far, of which is 2 times. Hopefully there won't be a 3rd. Thanks for stopping by.
Do they give you a box to put the device on?
No. You can either use the box you have from the previous model you have, or just wrap it up and put in the box they shipped the new device in. I always just throw it in the new box they send out.
They said not to tape the shipping label. So, how do I stick it on the packaging? 😅
Interesting, I've always just taped the shipping label to the top of the box. I cover the whole thing in tape and have never had an issue. I guess one way to be sure they'll be cool with would be to just bring in the box with the shipping label to the side, and have them put it on the box wherever they want. Thanks for stopping by.
I see. I just watched the tradein process from Samsung as well, if you say that, I guess it's okay. I also didn't get a box from them since I picked up my order from bestbuy.. do you think any box will suffice?
Hey can anyone tell me how this Samsung trade in thing works for new galaxy s24. I have checked about it, and my galaxy A30s has got a pre evaluation credit of 76 euros. And after all the discounts, I can get galaxy s24 for around 641 euros. Price seems pretty good for the 256/8 GB galaxy s24. Now the thing is I really don't know how trade in thing works and if I should go for it? What's the exact procedure??
I could really use your suggestions and guidance regarding this. Thanks 🙏
I can help you my friend, I've done these trade-ins a zillion times now. First you commit to the trade-in on their site, and you'll get the trade-in credit right up front. Then they'll send you out your new S24. Shortly after you get it, Samsung will start sending you emails about your trade-in device needing turned in. You'll also get a couple texts when the time gets very near. You have right around 10 days or so to ship it back, giving you some time to get used to the S24. If you don't like the S24, now is the time to start the return process. You can do that via your Orders page on the Samsung site. If you do like your new S24 (I'm sure you will, that's one heck of an upgrade), you simply remove your fingerprints and other biometrics, and then do full factory data reset of on your trade-in device. Box it up and take a few pics and a video if you can, just in case Samsung gets sketchy on you. That's only happened once to me so far, but it did happen, so best to be prepared. If you feel nervous about any of this, feel free to shoot me an email, it's on my About page here on youtube.
@@RADERTECH thank you so much man, really appreciate it. I have actually ordered my s24 now, and I hope to get it in next 5-8 working days. If I would need any assistance, I would definitely reach out to you via email. Thanks a bunch for your kindess, God bless you🤗
@@RADERTECH I'm in the same situation lol, I'm thinking about trading my iPhone 15 pro in a few days. wondering in any case i could email you for any advice :)
Do we need to trade in with the Samsung box? I think I have lost the box
I'm so sorry for the slow reply. No, you don't need the original box, they only care about the device itself.
Don You send them withe the charger cable or without it?
No, I keep all of that stuff for Samsung tablets and phones. You just need to send in the device itself.
The exception is their TV's, and anything else that uses a "special" type of power brick.
Thanks for stopping by.
@@RADERTECH all right then! Since I'm sending my watch 5 pro, it's okay if i keep the charger and the straps right? Thanks for the help!
How much is the shipping cost?
No charge. The shipping is included with the label you print out, and often they send you return label in the new product's box when you chose to do a trade-in at order time. It's all covered, you never pay for shipping your stuff back to them.
Just got a new watch and they didn't send a return label?
You can hop onto your Samsung account and download another one. Just go to your Orders page, and you should be able to from there. Thanks for stopping by.
If I don't have the device box with me now, can I still do the trade in?
You sure can, they don't care about the box at all.
How much does it cost to ship back to samsung?
Zero, they cover the cost. It's included in the pre-paid shipping label they have you print out.
Samsung website says they will pay up to 500 dollars for a S21 5G towards a S24....seems too good to be true
They have some crazy good trade-in deals at times. Thanks for stopping by.
S21 Ultra $550 trade in plus $120 more off for taking a color of which they must have produced too many. My case covers the colored back. Upgrade to 512GB is free! $1419 becomes $749.
Are you trading in galaxy s23 ultra ? it because you got new galaxy s24 ultra, unfortunately im keeping my galaxy s23 plus or s23 fe until waiting for galaxy s27 series.😊❤
I'm strictly trading it in for the sake of the flat screen and for the channel, no other reasons. I think the S23 Ultra is just as great. Thanks for stopping by.
The Fools Edition
We seriously need to have vidographic evidence?
You don't need it, but it's a good idea to cover your bases. I've had 2 trade-in's with Samsung get screwed up, and telling them that I had video and pics was all that was needed to get it sorted out.
