    Another quality review. Love the grey frame.
    Grip texture is just right. Trigger is good, for a striker. Capacity is right. Optics ready out of the box. Modular. So much value out of the box.
    I normally shoot DA pistols so the trigger is what brought me to this platform. I also have most of my pistols setup with black out rear so this was another plus. Only downside is no aftermarket, yet.

    The Delta line is my new carry option.
    Been carrying the gen 1 for almost a year. It is a he size of a Glock 48 with 15 rounds, better grip better sights, better trigger.

    Excellent review. I have this very model/color myself. I put a Holosun 507c optic on it and Olight PL-Pro light. This gun is EXCELLENT. The trigger is super smooth out of the box, but it gets even better after a few hundred rounds. There is not a stock trigger on the market as crisp as this (ZERO creep), though the pull seems a bit heavy. Reset is as short as any stock trigger as well . . . easily as good as the Walther PPQ, HK VP9 or CZ P10. This gun fits all of my Glock 19 holsters without rattle. I'm just waiting on AREX to get spare magazines out on the market.

      Apologies, yes the #5 plate does fit. I had to go back and mount it to make sure. There is a little day light in between the mount and optic though. I would prefer a company make custom plates for it but I don’t know if that will happen or not.

    If the Gen 2 is an improvement over the 1, then it's a great gun. The original is an excellent gun. Very thin, light, and a smooth shooter. Only con is the grip texture, but I used a fine file to take some of the sharpness away. Will keep the Gen 2 in mind, if it becomes available locally. Good review.

      When it comes to polymer frames, especially ones with replaceable backstraps, I would rather the gun makers put a lot of texture on that can be sanded down to fit my needs, than a little with no cheap, non-ugly way to put more on. It's far more flexible.
      If sandpaper and files are out of someone's league they probably don't need to be handling weapons.

  • @OhioCruffler
    @OhioCruffler 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    The gun does improve with use, especially the trigger. I bought one just like it, came with a clean 6.5 lb break. After a few hundred dry fires it dropped to 6 pounds. I put a Ghostinc 4.5 pound striker spring, dropped to a just under 5 pound pull. I'll polish the sear with some 1200 grit and see if I can't clean it up a bit more.
    I put a 4.0 pound spring in my Gen1; it's at 3.7 pound pull but it's been shot a lot more.

    IMO - the impact that thickness of the back strap just below the beaver tail on grip control can’t be overstated - good that they took some design cues from the P10 series as I can get a really high and tight clamp on my P10 F - one of the reasons I prefer CZ ‘s in general compared to Sig’s or Glocks - The Arex seems to have really well conceived ergos in general - I like the textured index pad on the frame - and as I do a hard pinch under the front of the trigger guard , the cuts they put under the trigger guard would really work for me
    All guns should have that IMO
    Also placing the grip texture high up on the side panels above the mag release is cool - on most guns I have to stick some grip tape up there
    As I compete - I like to feel glued to a pistol grip
    Hopefully , I’ll get a chance to try one out sometime

    Glock perfection is just a marketing gimmick. The Glock is an affordable and reliable gun, I’ll give them that. It’s also been around for ages and due to its popularity has a tremendous amount of accessories readily available. I just wish every gun manufacturer wasn’t trying to out Glock the Glock. It’s getting boring.. especially all the striker fired plastic frame 9mm pistols.
