So happy to see Winter White Santa got some love!🎅 Looking forward to seeing your flag WIP!
Wow! your train stitching on your shoe is beautiful. I'd be so afraid to stitch on the train for dropping something or someone spilling their coffee. Truly amazing! Always a joy to see you!
Your stitching is just gorgeous.
What a lovely video Teresa, thank you so much you’ve right cheered me up today 😊 but also enabled me to 🎉 treat me self 😂
Always a joy to spend time with you Teresa. Love love love your santa. You are doing so well with your crochet. Until next time take care and happy stitching ❤
Oh your comments on stitching pattern style really hit home!
Yes, when younger I stopped because I didn’t like them. I was lucky in my 20s that we started getting Mary Hickmott magazines and they were at least different to American dimensions style patterns but also after a while limiting as all very similar.
I’m not particularly a sampler / alphabet stitcher - I did the Stitch in London one because that was to do with the enjoyment I had of the weekend - but it’s my first! I have no intention of doing a ‘fancy lady’! I did a Flower Fairy ‘F’ when younger but that’s enough!
I’ve also found there are some designers that when I got back into cross stitch about 6 years ago, I did everyone of their patterns/SALs but not find they have gone very twee and childish.
I like a variety of patterns. I often enjoy stitching things for the fun of the stitch even if I don’t intend to put everything on the wall - I believe a ‘process stitcher’?
I have ordered a Gecko Rouge - but it is a picture I would have on the wall. And it’s taken me years of checking out both them and Haed before I have found one I’d like on the wall.
I’m not so good yet on changing up the colours but starting to get there experimenting with MFE, Ink Circles, Long Dogs.
Very interesting to listen to you on this.
Thanks for the video, been feeling really rotten the past few days and don't feel like stitching but love sharing your stitchy bug ❤
You are doing great. It feels good to be accomplished. Great to see you. Have fun on your girls trip!
Magnetic cable ties may help “contain” the extra fabric while stitching your Afgan.
You made loads of fab progress 🪡🪡🧵🧵 your Santa looks fantastic and those heels must be near a finish!! Love your floss organising, I need you to organise mine 😂😂😂
Hi Teresa
Love all of your projects. You are making great progress on them.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
Love your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Thank you! You too!
Lovely WIPs, everything looks wonderful!
When you have a thread on the wrong side of crochet, just thread it onto a tapestry needle and pull it through to the back of the work. Then you can weave it in with the rest. Hope that helps.
HI Teresa, great update, you have made some great progress. Your crochet is looking really good- that is not a beginner project! It is no problem that some of the threads are ended on the front, you can simply thread them through to the back when you weave them in. Take care xx
No don`t put Santa down please 😂. ❤You.
So good to see you! Glad you had such a good stitching month! I finished my baby blanket (FINALLY) on the 20th of January and immediately got my stitchy mojo back as well. It's now the 31st and I've put some stitches in to a Christmas stocking I started, plus started and almost finished one of my Little House Needleworks Little Sheep Virtues. All whilst taking care of my mum, who got Covid on the 23rd and subsequently I came down with it on the 26th! I kitted up my quaker flag and made a start yesterday. I didn't want it to be too big so I thought I'd do it on 25 count Lugana 1 over 1, full cross. Made a start yesterday but not sure I like it. May switch to 18 count Aida 2 over 1 since I have a huge piece in my stash. I'll decide this weekend. I'm doing the Ukraine flag for my heritage onnmy father's side, since I already have a U.S. flag in my W.I.P.s. I am using DMC but I tweaked the colors. There are only two, plus the dark navy for the grid, so easy peasy. Isn't it great to enjoy what we're stitching again?! 😊
Love that Afghan, it is amazing. I saw you stitching it at the January Essex stitching day and was gonna come over, but nerves still get the best of me in a room of people. But thanks to you and Ellie for a fantastic day.
Your Santa is looking fantastic, too , as is your crochet.
I use the Xstitch Plus app, and it is amazing. I do something similar for my threads. It makes life a lot easier and saves me a bit of money 😁
Lovely charts for Christmas, too.
Well, I must truly have a massive floss dilemma. I have over 5,000 skeins of floss. I used Tricia, The Left Handed stitcher’s method of storage so I can know at a glance how much I have on hand. I use XStitch App, too. I have so many full coverage I want to make which led me to buy excess floss . Most I got on sale for .24 to .28 cents a skein.
I too also now work from a master set of DMC like you do with my extras.
If the Santa makes you happy, then stitch on him. Life is short, do what makes you happy. Amazon has these great magnetic cable tie thingies that might help with the afghan volume problem.
I'm was also meant to start the quaker SAL but I didn't want any new starts on January I'm waiting till the 1st Feb.
Loving your progress on winter white Santa.
Enjoy your retreat..🤩
Straight knitting or crochet can be mindless, but anything with different stitches and patterns need concentration, so just keep it for quiet times and find something else to do when you can chat, watch, listen. Love your work.
I love the progress on winter white santa!! Loving the tracker again this year. Your xmas presents are amazing!
the claw like hair clips are great for holding extra fabric out the way
Hi Teresa, Love your Santa. I was very lucky as my hubby bought me the five drawer D.M.C full of all the threads for Christmas. I am stitching oan a Sashiko Sampler while visiting with you... Happy stitching.
Hey Tereasa, I just found a helpful way to load and unload the cards into the Pako Thread Organizer. If you struggle with loading the long little cards that has all your symbols on it like I do this will be helpful. You can remove the white plastic top really easily. If you turn the thread organizer over, you'll see how the white top part attaches. You can pry the little plastic legs and the white top part will pop off. I don't remove the whole part, I just pry the first 4 legs on it, load or unload my card then snap it back together. It doesn't damage it. Give it a go.
Hi Teresa. Lovely projects. Beautiful stitching. Yr doing so well with yr crochet. Keep up the good work. Take care. Xx
There is a q-snap floor stand also called quilt stand it would be great for working on your afghan two handed and alot of work space also can get a extension kit for the stand
Wonderful video as usual Teresa. Love your channel. The Noel blanket will be great, you'll love it when the weather is cold and wet.
I love the fabric and the colors to your flag you are going to do, please keep us updated on how it is going.
loving all of your projects Teresa and love your tube x
Love the updates. Santa is looking good. I have a lot of floss in storage bins . I like have it on hand.😊 ❤
I’ve found the beach chair towel holder clips are great for holding big projects rolled up and still have room to clip to the q-snap or frame that I am using. I very much enjoy watching your videos.
I so enjoy your videos! I love to listen to what you have to say and I love the patterns you choose to stitch. The crochet is nice, I love to crochet doilies, but that bug has not hit me in a while, it's just been cross stitch. Forget about knitting for me! Lol!!!
Theresa, always a joy to spend time with you stitching. Love your floss organization idea - may have to try it because like you I have a whole set of DMC with disorganized duplicates and leftovers. So I may have a go at rethinking. Love and Hugs from Arizona.
I like your stitching, Teresa!
It's still winter, so carry on with Santa if you want to!!!
I’m enjoying your 2024 project tracker sooo much! I’m adding all my projects to the WIPs page to help me remember what I have (and that I don’t need any more). Only a few of them are actually started, and about half are kitted up but not started, so maybe not exactly WIPS? But a comprehensive list so I know what I have. Also inserting a picture of each one and scaling it down to fit on the appropriate line item. Love it, since the visual reminder really works for me! Thank you again for creating this fabulous tracker!
So proud of you and your crochet!!!!! I have always thought your knitting was well done as well and thought you finished your socks. I know you did one pair finished . The afghan and Santa, beautiful work!!!! The floor will be a real challenge with the living space it covers!! Wow! Always good to see your videos. ❤🤗
Have a great time stitching with the girls. I am so jealous. I have one smallish that I finished in January and another small that I want to finish by Valentine’s Day. I like your idea about organizing 2 days a month. I need to try harder on my organizing. Have a successful stitching February ❤️
Santa is looking so wonderful! I’m stitching a Father Winter Christmas stocking for my daughter, but when that’s finished this Santa is really calling to me.
I found you because I am a new stitcher and trying to learn how to do a full coverage. I can’t thank you enough. I am along time crocheted and knitter, and my best advice is to get your friends to show you how to weave your ends as you go, but you can get your tails back through the piece by taking your hook to the back of the piece and then pull your thread back to the back and then you can weave it in. I would recommend some crochet TH-camrs but I am not sure if you are learning the English terminology or the American. A lot of people do learn American because a lot of patterns are in that format. Anyway your piece looks amazing and I am so blessed for your help
I’m new to WIPGo this year too and took a leaf from your book, and didn’t pin goals to specific projects but more to themes which means I have also had success so far! Take care, Nic x
Yes, you can crochet socks. I love to see your stitching. I am so inspired ❤.
If you are enjoying a certain sip continue stitching, after all enjoying what you stitch is very helpful on keeping your stitchy bug
Love your video. Very inspiring thank you.
Ellie from Craft House Magic has crocheted socks.
omg, the colors you have in that "Princess Duck" they are totally speaking to me. They are 😍 😊.
Beautiful job as always. Your projects looks amazing.
Your Mirabelia Winter White Santa is my FAV!!! Im not starting mine till 2025. Excited to watch him come to life in your hands. Keep up the great work!
Happy New Year Teresa! Fab to see all your progress ! Have a great month!
Hi there. You must have read my mind, as I was thinking about you this morning. Love your progress.
Glad you liked the bag. See you in March. Xx
Can't wait!😝
❤❤❤
You inspire me to get back to my stitching!! I thought about you the other day and was excited to see your progress for this month! Wow!! You have done a lot! I can see your excitement to have your stitching big back!!!
I am doing a storage and use similar to yours, when I pull off the color number I put it on my desk to remind me to reorder it , once I have reordered it I throw the number away. Your crocheting looks fantastic.
Thank you, have a lovely time away. X
Have you ever watched the Flosstube video from @stitchynati regarding her tutorial for her Notion template? This template was a game changer for me. I now always know which thread I have and in which project each color is. Love your Santa. He is looking gorgeous .
Yes I have! It is great - I will only be using it for charts, fabric and floss - but it is going to take me years to get it all in there lol
@@TeresaLittleStitcher yes it takes a little bit of time 😂 I added more than 100 finishes (with all the daily stitch tracking) all my wips (ok that’s less than five) and lots of future projects and pattern … and my DMC … have to add the overdyed threads
Love your waffling. I have started my Poltergeist Pirate for WIPGO. Nice progress on ww Santa.
When you started the Winter White Santa, did you start at the top? I started in the middle and lost my way. I took it out and thought I may start at the top.
Not stitching related but absolutely love your jumper ❤
Oh thank you!🙏
Teresa how do you factor in the dyelot variables into your floss storage / usage? Love the progress you have made on your santa. Wow! . Your soda stitch shoes will soon be done at this rate. Oh my construction dust again!
I try to buy as much floss as I need for each project so dye lots are the same. If I can’t, one suggestion is to take one thread from one skein and one thread from another so any changes are not noticeable. Happy stitching! X
I love all of your work. I started full coverage stitching thanks to you, so thank you. I’d like to ask, how are you finding the tent stitch on the Gordon Fitchett. Do you like the way it looks? I’m thinking of trying it for a large piece.
Hi there! Well I don't have a tight tension so I'm finding it fine - I know some people have issues with it warping a little on the fabric, but I think that is more a tension thing. But afraid to say everyones stitching is different and think this can cause a little of the issue
@@TeresaLittleStitcher Thank you got letting me know.
🥰
How's BonBon???
Bon Bon’s is doing very well thank you. She still has a bit of a limp when she first gets up, but she is off and running after a few steps lol 😂
