If you think about it, Jimmy's character fits perfectly with Maniac, because you need to be a cocain addict to even consider playing DSOD with that perk deck
maniac needs a buff imo. It seems really neat, but i'd rather it have the stacks converted to damage negation, with a max of 75% or more. It'd be more on par with Stoic, anarchist and kingpin then.
Low key, I love maniac. The support you can give to your team on everything other than DS is crazy. If you have a good maniac player and a good crew chief player in the same lobby, it's quite possible you'll go through the entire job without going down.
Congrats on the 100k man. Oh maniac I remember how much I loved this deck on lower difficulties because as you said you truly are invincible it seemed & was a fun team perk deck to surprise people and see in the chat "dude why am I so tanky?" because they would gain some of the effects as well. If this perk deck had difficulty scaling instead of flat numbers I would love to put it as one of my main picks. This statement goes out to any dev out there, you should nearly always make things difficulty based not flat negation.
I wanna thank you for clarifying how damage absorption works. I thought when the Hystaria Stacks were full, you take zero damage, like the circles in the HUD suggests, turns out it doesn't, which would explain why I go down to bulldozers and snipers so much. I will leave some suggestions. You can gain Hystaria stacks through sentries and converted LEO's, making it possible to become your own fortress on mayhem difficulties, I'm not sure how viable it is on higher difficulties since I like to have fun and not be buried alive by a million and a half billion ZEAL units... if I even remain alive.
Congrats on 100k man you deserve it so much! Been watching you since as long as I can remember, without you I’d suck at payday 2 lol, my main 3 builds are all yours. Keep up the amazing content man!
Well done as always b33croft! I felt so special after you hearted my comment about doing a Maniac video, and now here we are. I completed my most recent infamy only using Maniac and it was a lot of fun. When I build for Maniac I treat it a lot like Crew Chief, opting for Hostage Taker instead of Berserker. I hope Payday 3 will have more support-based perk decks.
I think Maniac is a great pick for sentry builds on lower difficulties Sentries are almost always firing and are a great way for you to have max Hysteria stacks at all times
yeah basically what i do is interchange between maniac and muscle if its like a map where i would move a lot and where the sentries are less usefull...also dunno if converts give you maniac stacks but they are still a must if you want some sustain with hostage taker
Man, it's weird when I see Payday 2 footage without the music. The music is such a big part of the appeal for me, to the point where seeing it in non-Payday stuff always makes me perk up.
As someone who lacks the skill to play on DSOD I love using Maniac as my go-to perk deck when playing on Overkill and Mayhem. If I did want to try DSOD again I know I'd have to wave goodbye to that beautiful blue hp bar.
that sounds reasonable. Like having someone setting up turrets all over the place and maniacly? laughing at everything while the turrets kill everything. but, turrets get like oneshotted at osds so...
My DW maniac is frenzy overkill aced with judge and an lmg. That damage, it mows down absolutely everything like actual grass if you keep shooting the judge every 20 seconds, it's stupid. It more than makes up for the slighly increased risk to go down, and the team effect will make your allies last longer in return too.
First of all, congrats on 100k, you deserve every sub! And how are you so good at DSOD? If youre looking for build ideas, then I really want a sentry gun build.
I have just started using maniac and what I found has been the best fun/function was to have the locomotive shotgun secondary with dragons breath to build stacks. or secondary flamethrower. I have never been good with the isthma so primary was either akimbo smg or lmg and or clarion rifle
Love your vids man. And I love manic when I'm running with my normal friends. If you ever come back to this vid for suggestions I recommend Sentrys. And some incendiary shotgun.
How did i even see the "Thats what she said" this time... i wasnt even really looking at my screen lol staring at my phone and see it out the corner of my eye... Youre getting sneaky with it dude lol
Hey b33croft, if you filter the achievements, and change the achievement tag to heisting, you get a bit over 300 challenge achievements. For some reason Holdout missions are here, but other than that it's just 'fun' achievements. Framing Frame without cops shutting off power boxes, longbow only Undercover, etc. None of the 'do the thing on x difficulty/complete all the things on x difficulty' fluff. Might be worth a ranking video or 4?
I did a video about payday 3 a few months ago and tweeted it at the lead dev of payday 3, they responded saying they showed that video and the comments to their team and are monitoring
Hey dude, i just watched your video ranking every skill in the game and i loved it, and i want to say two things: 1- you said that the unseen strike ability cancels it's effect after getting hit, and well, although this is what the description says, that is not what happens, when you don't get hit for 4 secs the effect activates and when you take damage the effect persists. Since you use WolfHud it will be easy to test it out with the "active effects HUD". Maybe armor and crit build viable then? 2- you also said that sentry guns are bad, and I agree with that :v but they are the best build possible on hostage game mode, hostage becomes so easy that I even find myself having dinner or watching Netflix while playing it, and since you don't have an updated video about hostage game mode and sentry guns... Forget lock and load, accuracy is terrible on shotguns because when one pellet hits an enemy, the remaining pellets can’t deal anymore damage due to the way the game is coded meaning you might as well screw the whole idea and just use the underdog and shotgun skills by getting rid of surefire/lock and load and everything in that tree
It seems like the LMG/assault rifle route is really the only viable build. The shotgun route wastes so many points just to ensure you can do constant damage and even then the LMG build is still a handful of points short of being viable. It's such a shame too because it's one of the few damage reduction perk decks.
I think its a big problem when certain perk decks become pretty much useless as the damage difficulty spikes up. That makes players create a "if you use this on DS you're trolling" mentality which is true to some extent. But it's not really the players' fault, it's how the game is operated as a 4-man team, something can becomes more apparent on DS. Maniac, Muscle, Armor Bag Case, just a few examples. I love it when a perk deck has a 'learning moment', using Snipers to heal on a Stoic build, or saving a Hack ECM for endless assault phase. Both are basically safeguards to cover your teammates in a pickle
tbh some decks is just not for DS but good for lower difficulties like Crook is good on low difficulties because you get a lot of armour (counting in the dodge its stronger than CTV with armorer) and great mobility Maniac is similar making you basically invincible on lower difficulties but being absolutely useless on DS
A question I'm curious about. Considering the Deck Doesn't have much safeguard options other than uppers, Wouldn't it be a good idea to take Die hard Basic to half incoming damage? I'm certain it would help the build and more so if It's running Frenzy+Underdog Aced.
Depends on what difficulty. You could argue against die hard on dsod as it can sometimes just get you killed because of grace, though it protects you well against non-heavies. Below ds there’s no reason to not take it.
I'm playing a team sustain build using turrets and maniac, all you need is the 35% less chance to get targeted, the whole turret tree and ammo cost efficient weapons 👍
I get the feeling you omitted the fact that turret build benefits greatly with maniac as your turrets take advantage of the dmg build up stack of hysteria.
@@b33croft I generally find it discouraging that every build needs to be either dw or ds viable considering what it takes to play on those difficulties. It creates an elitist incentive or way of thinking in pd2 that discourages the playerbase from trying builds that can be fun or even viable. The way I look at builds in pd2 is: 1) Is it still fun even on Mayhem or above? 2) Can it still work beyond Mayhem? 3) It is flexible enough that the build doesn't stagnate on Mayhem or higher? I don't mean to come off rude (if I do I apologize for it) but I find turret build with maniac to be a non issue playstyle for me. Maybe it because I'm more accustomed to using turrets, or how I use turret build compared to your experience, but that subjective and subjective is never objective when varieties exist.
I don’t think you’re coming off as rude mate, everyone should play this game and any other the way they enjoy. I just only play ds because it’s what I enjoy, I always encourage players to play the game they want. Elitism doesn’t exist anywhere with me that’s for sure, come check out my streams, it’s just about having fun and that includes failing and laughing about it lol
How does the experience work because I'm on level 5 infamy and I don't know how the experience works on it because it doesn't seem like I get more experience than the last time I leveled up
Just a quick question, I started watching your build videos lately and after watching your kingpin one, there is something I didn't understand, why did you use the ICTV on kingpin? If your purpose is to make these builds DSOD viable, why would you choose the ICTV over the suit? They one-shot you with or without ICTV. Isn't that just a huge waste of skill points?
B33croft i think instead of making builds you should probably make videos about making builds. Which skills are mandatory or just generally good, which weapon type and perk deck has what downsides, which skills cover them, and how to play specific perk e.t.c.. your build videos are usually weapon specific and don't cover other weapon types. Making a video on how to make build for a perk deck should solve this problem

How does the experience work because I'm on level 5 infamy and I don't know how the experience works on it because it doesn't seem like I get more experience than the last time I leveled up
Ahh are you spending your infamy points? Each one will give you more of an infamy bonus?
@@b33croft so the more points I get the bigger the experience I should get?
Well go infamous, get an infamy point. Use this point to unlock a bonus
Maniac is baby's first dodge build
Haha sure thing
Hey 100k thats so cool when that you will get you check i will be very happy when you get
Thanks mate
3:53 bullet comes out with the casing?
Haha yep
Just a quick question, I started watching your build videos lately and after watching your kingpin one, there is something I didn't understand, why did you use the ICTV on kingpin? If your purpose is to make these builds DSOD viable, why would you choose the ICTV over the suit? They one-shot you with or without ICTV. Isn't that just a huge waste of skill points?
I’d have to rewatch my old video mate, I believe I had reasons lol
the gunshots from the lmg remind me of half life opposing force's lmg
17:20 why is the bullet still connected to the casing when its out the gun?
Who gives a fu…..
@@b33croft i love directing and movie creation i just notice these things, been obsessed with your videos tho lately
That’s a good idea!
