WANT DOGS TO GREET GUESTS CALMLY ?? Do this !!!

  • One of the most common issues I deal with (even if it’s not what I’ve been called for) is bad manners at the door, when guests come round.
Did you know, if a dog jumps up and scratches someone, in the eyes of the law, all the person has to do, is say they felt threatened and you have serious problems.
Wether you mind dogs going nuts when you come in or not, you have to understand that your guests or visitors might not.
Doing this sets the tone and standard for what’s expected. This will help with people coming round.
Remember, if a dog is allowed to do it to you, they will do it to others. They do not have the brain capacity to rationalise the way we do.
Share with a friend, tag a friend and help spread responsible dog ownership everywhere.

This is so true and I’m always trying to explain this to visitors and couriers etc!

Totally agree with this. When we come home our dog rarely comes to greet us because we ignore them at first, even if we have been out for hours. Much rather this calm behaviour given she is generally a lovely affectionate dog.

Please please do a video on what to do with s jumpy dog. My dog will jump on us and guests and she jumps high. I'm worried she will hurt someone. She has to be put away when people come over because she is too excited.

Put her away before people come over and only let her out once she's calm.

I’m going to send this to my brother who I live with. He’s bloody hopeless at ignoring my Dobermann puppy and it’s now taking longer to train him not to jump up and get excited. He’s 30kgs so this needs to be done by everyone. Cheers!

It's such a simple little habit to get into as well. Just takes a little bit of self discipline.

Tesla Nick self discipline?? The thing that a lot of owners lack.
