The Heaviest Podcast of All Time - เพลง
People sleep on how pivotal this band is for metal in the last 25 years.
Nah. Metalheads know.
Pretty sure they influenced meshuggah who influenced everyone
@@metalheadbluesthey did
I know, I feel they should be as big as slipknot and slayer because they are a BIG part of the influence of metal, they influenced a whole genre in gent metal and there’s hundreds and hundreds of bands in all genres that use the gutteral/screaming vocals and also clean vocals, Burt was the first to do that I believe. Yea, definitely the most underrated
They dropped the ball in the 2000s when, like Meshuggah and other bands, they needed to take their music to the next level. They didn't. Their 90s records weren't going to carry them to a higher notoriety alone. The music always stayed in this too heavy to ascend in the mainstream, and not progressive enough for the rise of progressive metal, where you can actually become big doing it if you continue to innovate. FF did neither. They've just been trying to recapture the 90s over and over again for a diminished, nostalgic fanbase. The constant member changes haven't helped either. FF isn't 'that band' anymore. I'm saying this as a huge forever fan, it's just the truth of the matter.
I've been a fear factory fan since 96 and they shaped my musical life, it's hard to explain how different they were back then, along with devin and syl. I love hearing Dino talk it takes me right back to my high school years, I'm just so happy he has continued with FF and found the best members to move forward. Goddamn I love FF
Can still remember going to sleep listening to demanufacture when it came out - made me scared.
I finally got around to listen to their Demanufacture album 2 months ago. I was blown away by how great that guitar tone sounded especially considering what year it came out, sounds better than some modern band's guitar tones.
Still unrivaled today.
The first 3 are so ground breaking. When I heard obsolete in high school back in 2000 it sounded so futuristic and heavy. And scary enough those concepts seem to be unraveling by the day 😮
That’s the album I got into Metal since I was a kid!✨
Dude get the toneforge disruptor from jst tones. Its dinos signature amp sim and it has his demanufacture tones in it. Its crazy good.
Hoestly a lot of modern production sounds so fucking bad, especially the vocals. I don't know what the fuck they do to vocal recordings these days but it sounds so bad to my ears.
The best band to be on 100th podcast. Respect to Chris.
i will say that everywhere, Fear Factory doesn't even get a half of credit it deserves, one of the mot infuential bands in music scene
Hope "Roboticist" will be released soon
Fear Factory is my favorite Industrial Metal band
💯💯💯💯💯💯❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
You can hear so much Fear Factory influence in modern metal. At this point some of the newer bands might be influenced by a band who was influenced by a band who was influenced by Fear Factory. Hell, some bands might not even know it. They definitely don't get enough credit in my opinion.
Basically the case with Slipknot. One of their influences includes FF's Demanufacture album.
Essentially the entire modern sound originated with FF. The double bass syncopated with guitar, down tuned guitar and melodic vocal hooks.... Yeah that's essentially all popularized by FF. If not "invented" by FF. They we doing that shit in 94-95.
Meshuggah obviously has major influence as well, but they're getting the acknowledgement nowadays.
knocking it out of the park with these guests lately Garza!
As a Fear Factory freak, I love everything about this episode-especially learning new things about the band, and their continuing work ethic and essential integrity. Thank you!
Garza is the best metal Podcast! I'm from Brazil, saw FF twice, with Burton and this years with Milo. Both shows were killer! Love FF since their 1st LP came out. Very vice interview!
Fear Factory is back and better than ever. Seen them live in Pittsburgh with Static-X. Great band live, such nice dudes. Meeting Dino and Milo was such a huge honor. Long live Fear Factory! 🤘🏻
Better than ever? Right..... 😂
@@Vb98765 Better than having Burton cracking his voice into the mic, no doubt about that! Loved everything he did for Fear Factory, but he's not up to the task anymore.
@FishandChips-nj7nb Broooo, everyone with ears would rather hear Milo live than current Burton. Flashback to the Demanufacture show back in 2016 (I think that's the year) and you cannot tell me that Burton's voice was shot. Imagine how it sounds today? I don't hear Milo's voice cracking everytime he does cleans. Don't get me wrong, LOVED what Burton did for Fear Factory. He just isn't able to do it anymore.
@FishandChips-nj7nb Explain GWAR then? Literally no original members and they're still GWAR. Milo doesn't have any of his original songs with the band to perform live. Give it time. If Fear Factory wasn't doing something right? They wouldn't be selling out shows and touring all over the world. Don't get see the band live. The rest of us will! 😁
For Dino show up on your podcast and sharing all these stories and wise words I can see he’s a decent human being, I’m not a die hard FF fan but I respect him going through so much sht but still push himself to make the band going, I don’t care people saying “oh FF is just Dino and his friends now”, anyway great content as always, keep up the good work Garza, 100 episodes is such an achievement, love and respect from Taiwan 🇹🇼
It was always meant to be Dino and his friends though. They just changed over time.
FF always was Dino and his friends. He started the band. He chose Burton because he heard him sing, not the other way around.
Niceee. Love this pod so much. Obsolete still crushes hard.
Obsolete was the first FF album i ever heard. It changed my entire perception of what i thought heavy should be. Great interview.
I saw fear factory on the obsolete tour in 1999 when i was 17 one of the best shows ive ever seen.
Great interview! Been a FF fan since the first album, got to meet Dino and Milo after the gig at Glasgow in November. Both super cool and chilled, and Dino was kind enough to sign my guitar 🎸 🎸 🎸🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Fear Factory unexpectedly shaped metal in the 90s. It's not often that the band that creates & perfects something, doesn't become the poster child leading the way until they call it quits. Its wild how so many bands took pieces of their formula, even got brought out and exposed by FF, that went on to become wildly successful beyond FF. I think Dino assembled the right 2 guys, the shows are electric - truthfully took their live shows to a new performance and energy level. Not to take anything away from the original lineup, it was great in its prime live, but it wasn't consistent - especially with Burtons vocal troubles.
I think this new cast fits the FF mold, but with new energy & an extreme level of talent, a new record has massive potential to put Dino & FF back at the forefront of a sound he created. I can't wait to hear an album with Milo & Pete.
Been a fear factory fan since 2006. Seen them 8 times live. Sick ass band
Loved this episode. So good,
I really enjoyed watching this. Keep up the excellent work! 🤘🏻
I do have to say it's crazy to see the torch being passed on for one of my absolute favorite bands of all time. I am excited to see what Milo will bring on the next record.
YES, I love this podcast
Damn, that was awesome) Great vibe and stories) Was a pleasure to watch.
such a great podcast, cool conversations. i can't wait for tuesday night in Paris. last time i saw ff was on obsolete
Love to see you interview Puya and Brujeria.
I just saw them with Milo and I like the band more then ever
I like how they brought up the evolution of the podcast cuz those first ones werrrre kinda rough i love this podcast now!
Dino is definitely taking the reigns. The first time I heard fear factory was on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack. Heard Zero Signal and was a fan for life. I love how Dino smiles at Milo's enthusiasm, it's like Milo is his protégé. We'll see what happens!
Excellent interview. I learned a lot of new things. Thanks Garza. Greetings!
Saw them on their very first tour with Obituary. Soul of a new machine was playing constantly in my vehicle the rest of that summer
Love those guys. I have been at 2 shows on the european 2023 tour and they just killed it for sure!! Milo does an awesome job and the whole band is solid as a rock (yeah, now you got that tune in your brain lol) -FF is back and in great shape, long live FF :) [And huge thanks to Graza for the awesome interview!]
Laughing at Milo's Burton story. Exact opposite of the easily, 10 times I've met Burton before or after shows. Burton was *not* about talking about the show or music. He was way more about talking about whatever. He was always super nice and chatty once he realized you weren't going to fanboy on him.
Dino on the other hand, there was a few times he would catch us hanging around and he'd say "Not right now, i have to go do something, but I'll come back, Burt is coming back I'll send him over if you want?" Dino would always come back & was more than willing to hang out, talk about music & the show. He was actually really good at remembering faces "how many times have I met you before?" Or he'd say yeah I saw you over there during the show 😂
Burt, Ray, Christian were all sometimes hard to catch up with - but all you had to do was catch Dino and ask for the guys and he'd facilitate it. Awesome dude to go meet at shows.
Saw FF with Jasta and Coal Chamber in San Antonio. Awesome show.
I will not stop pointing out, how Milo nails it!!
Hell yeah epic interview🤘
Thanks Milo for having Spineshank as reference!
One of my favorite industrial metal band
Hell yeah, I love this!
so, i was at gig in Poland. Milo - 10/10 . thank you for being your own and a great part of FF legacy.it was a great show.
.
I was there and Milo absolutely demolished that stage. He’s killer.
Seeing them in Oslo December 11🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Excited to see Fear Factory for the first time in Orlando! Hope Dino can sign my LPs and some of my Asesino stuff as well…
Fucks yeah Fear Factory rules!! 🤘
Amazing interview again! Hope you sometime can have Matti Way, Suffocation, Pro Pain..
Still remember buying Soul of a New Machine as a new release on spec as never had even heard of them absolutely loved it and still one of my favourite bands to this day f*ck this makes me feel old
The only Fear Factory interview that matters!
Fenomenal interview! You should have full bands more often
That fucking seven string fender will print money. Get it out ASAP. I don't play 7 but I'd buy one for sure just for the novelty.
48:45 I got to see that lineup at the New Daisy Theatre in Memphis on the Obsolete tour and OMG so much killer music was played that night. Won't ever forget it.
Garza. You should try and get the guys from SpineShank on here. I fucking miss that band. One off my favs and still listen to them daily. Would love to see an interview with them. Find out what happened with them. What they've been up to. May be try and convince them to reunite. Lol. Hopeful wishing. Still would be cool. 🤘
The new vocalist seems cool af, that electric happy hour with Machine Head X Fear Factory was sick.
Mechanized tour kicked ass.
New fan with these guys can’t wait to see them Jan 19th with Machine Head 🤘
Good one! I'd love that guitar though :)
Yes ! Pete Weber is amazing!!
I saw SS at Louder Than Life and me and my friends kept wondering how the hell Garza got a 7 string fender 😂. Happy 100th episode 🤘
It seems like everyone into metal brings up this band and has a positive or negative opinion to add. That said, I love this frickin band and spin most of their albums off and on without wavering.
Love FF so excited for this new lineup and the new record having witnessed their badassary personally. No doubt the commitment to the legacy is there and they are going to drop an atomic fire bomb on us with the next record. Can’t wait.
brilliant interview - been following your podcast since day mf 1 bro....your band too....saw yur first live show in toronto (i believe) @ the opera house 2007 w/ Unearth + Darkest Hour + ABR....
Sold out Auckland show one of the best live shows I've ever seen they open for michine head also one of the best shows I've seen...thank you fear factory 🏭
Chris so listening to your older stuff, I'm going to say, your guy's counterpart is Thy Art. It's like you guys go hand in hand.
Fear Factory in Nebraska the other day 💥
Too bad Mythbusters isnt still around to test the thing Dino was talking about during the intro.
One of my favorite bands of all time. Demanufacture and obsolete are legendary
Came here from J Dawgs channel. Just saw your episode with him. Never heard SS before but that was a really good interview.
This is a great way to celebrate episode 100 🍾 👏
Also, 2nd time asking for VCTMS or Traitorsfl
I usually don’t listen to podcasts because most people just talk about nonsense.
This was really awesome though!
Awesome stories.
Going to be catching fear factory as they stop by here in the south of the US.
“Cat give me ya paw”!!!
……16 of October today !
……is it already 🎄 over there ?
fuck yeah! Can't wait to see them in Cologne in a few weeks!
The BOSTON BASHER! Boston Represent! Hahaha helll yah!
1:49
Naw, Dino, don’t sell yourself short! I’ve seen you live 5 times and you did some solid backup vocals on Self Bias Resistor!
1:38:28 that is actually a wild story, you can actually find that photo online too.
B-Real with the real life lessons.
Gotta keep it real!
I discovered Fear Factory listening to the Mortal Kombat motion picture soundtrack and I haven't looked back since!
John Candy in Uncle Buck changed my life
The best line up for me, Raymond, Christian, Burton and Dino.
The classic line up
Awesome!!! 😀 👍
Un italiano al Garza podcast siiii❤
1:04:36 Funny because All You Can Eat restaurants are called "All You Can Eat" here in Italy as well lmao... I think that definition is pretty much universal.
I seen Havok several years ago and i see this little dude walking around with drumsticks. And im like whos this poser..This dude gets on stage and melts everyones face off..Pete is a monster drummer
Bro you HAVE to get Archspire on this. Those guys are hilarious in interviews.
No talk of new music? ✌️🖤🤘
Drum machines aspire to be like Pete fuckin Webber
I remember that tour with hed pe and system of a down spineshank didn't play the one i saw shadows fall did
I could’ve sworn they also built you a purple heavy relic stratocaster 7 that looked awesome.
41:40 He is so right with that ;)
EVERY FF endorsement was because of ME
Fucking dino 🤘🤘
Loved my Adidas SS2G
Demanufacture is the most important metal album of the 90s imo
Just from the intro we can tell to the other FF members to watch out, because Milo can replace them all (excluding Dino of course)
The Godfather of Djent!
is Meshuggah.
I'm not an expert but just to offer my experience with uploading live videos, samples are usually the culprit. I played a halloween show with some friends a couple years ago and played the part of DJ Lethal. Pretty much all of his parts triggered copyright claims because they were direct samples from the albums. I also uploaded a video of The Black Dahlia Murder Trevor Strnad memorial show which also triggered a copyright because of two songs using samples as intros that are also found on the albums (What A Horrible Night... and A Shrine To Madness).
Wait.. in which band did Pete play first? I didn't quite get it..
No more creepy introductions like that, Dino 🤣
Fear Factory's been my favorite band since right before I saw them live for their Demanufacture tour, 2016ish. But I've enjoyed them since MK's soundtrack release.
I want to go to Italy to check out the food.
Not even 2 minutes in 😅😅😅😂
That’s crazy that the new singer met Bert before she replaced him way back when he was just a fan. 1:40:00 talk about brain fûçk and especially when he spilled his soul to bury and he just brushed it off.
I pretty much own every color shell toe Adidas
Dino is such a badass and doesn't expect anything less. Most people thinks he's a dick
I’ve hung out with him on his bud. He’s cool as fuck. Don’t believe the stuff about him being a total sick 24/7. He’s not.
