It debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. But, it's not really representative of their music. They have songs in a wide variety of genres. Good songs to start with would be On: Kinetic Manifesto, Mic Drop, Black Swan. Thier catalog is well over 300 songs so without knowing what kind of music you like it's hard to make suggestions.
BTW, it's not just teens you can talk to about BTS. ARMY comes from every demographic you can think of. I'm 59 years young and I bleed purple. Thanks again for having an open mind to explore something new to you. 💜

I’ve listened to all types of music genres. I enjoy rap, alternative rock, pop, R&B, and country. I’ve seen all groups come and go. Such groups such as the Beatles , Jackson 5, Boys II Men, BBD, New Edition, The New Kids on The Block, The Backs Street Boys, NSYNC, ..and many more. None of these other groups before them can not compare. Why not you ask? Because BTS are great at what they do! There’s 3 Rappers ( RM, J-Hope, Suga ( aka ) Agust D ) and 4 Vocalists ( JK, V, Jimin, and Jin ). They all dance , sing, and act. They are the Greatest of All Time. They’ve been together for over 10 years. They can each make it on their own but they achieve more greatness together. I don’t usually subscribe after only one reaction but I really like your vibe. You genuinely seem open to enjoying something new. Okay, my fellow ARMYs have provided a lot of information which I don’t need to repeat but I will say I also recommend Mic Drop, Black Swan and ON: Kinetic Manifesto Film as a broad introduction. Dynamite was BTS first fully English song and it was huge. It was BTS first number 1 song on the billboard hot 100, earned them their first Grammy nomination, and at the time broke the record for the most viewed video in 24 hours on youtube with 101.1 million views (eventually broken by BTS with their 2nd fully English song called Butter with 108.2 million views).
Just a quick note that most of their songs contain a lot more Korean and, if you go on this journey, always put the CC on. Most of their lyrics have deep meanings (their 3 English songs being the exception, more light pop feel good songs). Trust us ARMY, it’s worth the investment.
I recommend Black Swan, On Kinetic Manifesto, Mic Drop, Cyphers 1-4 (rap line), and Dope to start with. They so many amazing songs to choose from. Also make sure you have CC’s on for lyrics.
They are Bangtan Soyeondan or Bulletproof Boyscouts in Korea. They did not think it would be understood in English very well so when they came to the US they said BTS stands for Beyond the Scene. They go with both. Army (their fans) often just call them Bangtan.
React to more BTS please. Remember to put your closed captions on for English subtitles. They have a few songs in English but most are in south Korean with a smattering of English . They are also known for their meaningful lyrics. I enjoyed your exuberant discovery of BTS.
Dynamite BTS first all English song released in 2020 to cheer people up during Covid. It was also there first hot 100 number 1 .
Thanks for your reaction. This song is not indicative of most their music. It was just a fun song they released during COVID to lift spirits and help break into the US market. They do have a few very poppy songs, but they started off as a hip hop group in 2013 and most of their songs have deeper meaning than appears on the surface. They also have all sorts of genres like hip hop, r&b, ballad, hard rap, EDM, etc.
BTS has 3 rappers and 4 vocalist. They also have a lot of solo works. The rappers J-Hope, RM, and Suga aka Agust D have solo mix tapes and albums as well. If you listen to their Korean songs please turn on closed captions. Thanks💜

Just a FYI. It’s best to interact with the comments to show genuine reactions. Otherwise we as army will think it’s for clicks and views. Also don’t just listen to their English songs. That’s was them trying to appease the American audience for radio play which they didn’t appreciate. Watch their songs in their language with closed captions on.
Dynamite wasn't to appease Americans....it was to bring hope to everyone when we were all desperately depressed in lockdown. They did think it would fare better in the west just by being in English and being allowed a little more ad room, but they were shocked by how well it did as a one-off.

Please tell me you’ve heard about the rapper Agust D, who just finished his D-Day concert series in the US. He is one and the same man as SUGA of BTS. Also Please tell me you have heard of J-Hope , who headlined at Lalapalooza last summer, another rapper from BTS. He also headlined for the Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s celebration in New York this year. He did a collaboration recently with J Cole. Also, please tell me you have heard of RM, who has done collaborations with several US rappers. These 3 men make up the rap line of BTS. If you haven’t heard them, then get ready to be mindblown! They have a lot of content, but a few good rap line songs to start with are: UGH!, Attack on Bangtan MV, RUN BTS, Daechwita (Agust D), More (J-Hope), On the Street (J-Hope and J Cole), Joke (RM), Wildflower (RM). Some full group songs you might like are FIRE, IDOL, MIC DROP, NOT TODAY, On Kinetic Manifesto, DOPE. They incorporate rap into their songs with the vocals, which makes their songs more universally interesting. I'm a fan of BTS, fans called ARMY, and I'm sorry that this 'poppy' English song was your introduction to the group, but if you hang around and try a different genre of their music...rap, R&B, etc., you'll find their real talent and build your channel with their fans...IF you interact in the comments. I have some information for you. BTS ARMY are not all "Young Teen's". They have the most diverse fandom out there. Diverse in age, race, gender, etc. Over 90 million strong globally and continuing to grow. I'm a 57 year old BTS ARMY, along with my husband, and my daughter is 31. BTS's age range from 25 to 30. They debuted in South Korea as a Hip Hop Idol group in 2013, after being trainees from 2010-2013. They write, compose, and produce most of their own music, from the beginning. And they do not hold to any one genre. Their messages in their lyrics are what makes fans become BTS ARMY. You might be drawn in by their visuals, choreography, and talent to start, but to become an ARMY, you stay for their messages, work ethic, crazy good talent, and humble personality.
I'm going to link you a live performance they put out in 2021 of a medley of their songs, so you can see their diversity and talent. It showcases what they can do. Then I will link you their most recent group song from 2022 that is an ARMY favorite. I will also link a live performance with Dynamite and a live band, stripped down. All my links with have English subtitles, because they are South Korean, and only one of them is fluent in English so far. They have all improved over the years though. They speak Korean, and Japanese, and they know English and some Mandarin.

All seven of the BTS members will be enlisting in the military for their mandatory military service for 18 months. In the meantime, they are all releasing their solo projects before they enlist. They have been taking a break for this reason. They are scheduled to come back together as a group in 2025, when they have all served their country. So far two of them have enlisted, and 5 of them have released their solo albums. They have all been very successful, and have been breaking records, as per their usual. I can link you some solo projects if you are interested in that. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, even though all of them can sing, rap, and dance. Each member has their own specialty that they bring to the group, and they all have an important role within the group. The guys are like brothers, and support each other in everything. As for their Name BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan i.e Bulletproof Boyscouts.
They have 3 rappers and 4 Vocalists, However the rappers can sings, one of the vocalists is a sub rapper especially is early songs and the other 3 have dabbled in rap.
Also for who they are so from the opening screan we have left to right Min Yoongi (aka Suga, aka Agust D a Rapper), Kim Taehung (aka V, a Vocalist, dance line), Kim Seokjin (aka Jin, Vocalist, visual and oldest fo the group), Jeon Jungkook (aka Jungkook, Vocalist, sub rapper, centre, dance line), Jung Hoseok (aka Jhope, Rapper, Sub Vocalist, Dance leader), Kim Namjoon (aka RM, Rapper, group leader), Behind them is Park Jimin (aka Jimin, Vocalist, Dance Line).
I don't think it's unsual for South Koreans to drink milk without cookie's as years ago they were deficient in lots of vitamins and minerals and having milk helps the population get healthier.

There was no big deep meaning or message in this particular song except to bring joy during tough times. Most of their discography has a lot to say and the meanings often hit very hard. There is something for just about every musical taste; ballads, rap, hip hop, EDM, r&B and everYthing in between. BTS discography is so diverse. Pop, edm, hip hop, rnb, etc. they have 4 vocalists and 3 rappers! You never know what you’re going to get when it comes to their music. They’re far from your idea of a boy band. This song actually gets played at graduations btw lol so good job noticing that lol

I had the attic bedroom! Slanted walls and bed on the floor. Made a lot of music up there! Had an entire floor worth of space to enjoy. It was one of my favorite places ever!
