Spaghetti is always my go-to when I can’t think of anything to make for dinner. This recipe looks great. I love when you have your kids join you in the kitchen...it’s important they learn to cook.
Hey Abbie! We hear ya! Lol #powerhour Totally trying this recipe and I cannot wait!! I'm subscribed to FatheringAutism as well and love that Abbie was making her presence known lol Great job helping Isaiah! I agree that more schools should have a home ec class. My daughters school does thankfully!
This makes me so happy-my little guy is only 3 years old but he always wants to help in the kitchen and I hope when he’s 16 I’ll be teaching him like you are teaching Isaiah!
My sister and I are grown and have our own family, and are just now turning to my mom looking for her recipes. This pasta recipe seemed great! I need to try it out.
Your baby boy is so kind hearted it really shows! He needs a crock pot to throw his sauce in if he wants it cooking while he is in class! Then you could teach him other recipes for the crock.. chicken tacos would be an easy one to let cook while in class too. You’ve done good mom, it truly shows any time he’s in your presence.
Love that you are cooking with your son, totally going to get my 13 year old son in the kitchen with me and teach him to make my lasagna. The spaghetti looks delicious!
Hi I think that it’s very nice of you to show Isaiah how to cook spaghetti. He’s going to be a very good cook one day and make some woman very happy by cooking dinner for her.Every time that I watch one of your videos I always get hungry. I love your cooking videos.
Omg I've been waiting for this video! I was going to ask if you could show us ur famous spaghetti and YAY here it is and great tip on telling your son about never using metal utensils on your pans and all the other tips u shared with him. I'm so excited to try this!!! I love your channel(s) and your amazing family. Thank you so much for sharing! 😘♥️🤗
Love all your recipes Priscilla! This is great to see because my son is a senior this year. We need a knife like that! U all r so relatable. I also have autism n my family.
Some of my favorite memories as a little girl was cooking with my Gram and learning how to make her spaghetti and lasagna and other infamous Italian dishes. Isaiah will cherish these times with you in the kitchen for years to come. Sauce looks amazing!!
Just watched this video! I put 2 jars of Prego, 1 large can puree, 1-12 oz can tomato paste,1 large can plain tomato sauce, 2 cans Cambells tomato soup, I bake in oven for 2 hrs. on like 200 degrees. Makes alot of difference. I have 1 son that went to culinary school, and 2 that know their way around the kitchen. 3 daughters only one loves to cook! I also have an autistic son, so I can relate to Abby! He can talk but is a handful! I appreciate how you are with her! You guys are great! Keep up the great work, keeping awareness not shame, for our special gifts from God!💗💜❤
I love watching your channels since I’m disabled ( can’t) walk and in sever pain 24/7 but watching you cook it gives me something to do. Some I hope I can try some of your recipes
It is great that you are taking time to explain basic cooking skills to your number 1 boy. It will enable him to cook nutritious meals once he leaves home.
Tracey Iuliucci that’s how I Always Made it, too, Back in the 90’s, when my kids were in grade school!! This is awesome because I was never taught how to cook at home, and now I am a 59-year-young woman who can still learn to cook!!
Priscilla! This is why I love your channel. I am 40 years old and I make this recipe almost exactly like you do however, I season my meat so good and then put it all together and it tastes so bland... I have NEVER thought to season the sauce...I'm sitting here watching this alone and I feel so embarresed. Lol. But this is why I love how specific you are. Not all of us were raised knowing how to do a lot of this and while I have done a good job teaching myself there is still so much to learn from you and a appreciate you so much! I have also taught my children what I know. So question. I have 4 kids my daughter who is 15, she is autistic as well and has no interest in learning this right now but my boys 18,19 and 20 have moved out on there own. My oldest is an amazing chef but would you consider making a sub series like a home ec class for beginners like you 2 were discussing? Would love to share something like that with my boys. Maybe even as a patreon perk.? I havnt signed up for your patreon yet but will be soon. I know you are so busy so it might not be possible but that would be so cool. Love you guys so much !
I'm watching this two years later and Isaiah is about to go off to college. I can imagine that the two years went just as fast for his Mum, Dad and Sister. I can picture Priscilla sending him off with homemade meals everytime he comes home (I had that thought just before Priscilla said that she would move close to cook his meals). I wish that all parents prepared their kids for the whole big wild world so well. The love that this family has for each other is so inspiring. Xx
Whenever Isaiah gets married, whoever the lucky gal is, will have no excuse not to cook like his momma! Just look it up! It took me years to cook my mother in law's Puerto Rican food.
OMG Love your spaghetti! We made it tonight!! Having four boys ages 18 thru 12 they all LOVE pasta and it’s such an easy meal for them all to make. My oldest started college this fall and every 2 years I will be sending another one off to college :( They all watched your Video and Im making them each a recipe card for their book to take to school with them of all the things they love to eat and super easy meals to make! Thanks for the recipe and keep on cookn!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ The Watson Boys 👦🏼 🧑🏼🧑🏻🧒🏼 BTW love the new knife.
Priscilla, what a wonderful thing to pass-on the Maass family favorite recipes with Isaiah. When he is on his own and making your beloved spaghetti, every time he prepares it, he will have the best memories of making this along side of you! I have 2 sons (high school freshman & senior) and totally understand wanting them to be ready and prepared to “adult”. Take a cheap 3-ring binder and hand write-out the recipes and/or instructions you want to send with him on his life journey, (even if just on regular ole’ notebook paper) and make Isaiah a “Maass Family Favorites Cookbook”! I have done this for both of my boys. I know they will enjoy having it, and I have enjoyed making it for them!! 😘
I love the fact, that you Priscilla, cook wearing the onion glasses, and Isaiah doesn't bat an eyelid, ha ha! though if they work, I need to get myself a pair!! 😀
I Love to cook with my kids, My daughter Jordan stated helping me cook when she was 8.n ow she can cook anything i can and she is 17 years old. I love watching pots pans and Priscilla. Keep em coming
Little tip if you add salt to the water before it’s boiling it will boil faster. Also my mom told me that the best way to get flavor into the noodles because the pasta’s pores are open and will soak in the salt waters flavor. Also why you want to always add hot pasta into your sauce because once it’s cold it’s harder get your sauce to soak into the pasta for extra happiness! 💜

I never thought of browning the meat first then adding the tomato sauce. I always made the sauce 1st then added the cooked beef. Wow, it totally made a big difference. You guys are the best. Watch out Asa ... Cilla ( because I don't know how to spell percilla) has already mentioned buying Isaiah like 10 things in this video. He is going to show up to college with 10 moving trucks packed full of stuff . Might be cheaper to just go back to school with him lol.
