  • Huge multi-site churches can become purveyors of worldliness and not even be aware of it. Could this be the case with Life Church?

    Thanks for your work. I'm personally so disgusted with this modern expression of "church" and "preaching". The man centered "gospel" is no Gospel, as you know. Thanks again for showcasing what is going on out there, and for equally explaining in a clear way, what does matter.

    Wow! What happened to Pastors being shepherds of the flock? They’ve turned into CEOs, life coaches and amateur stand up comedians with hipster hairdos. Thank you BEZELT3 for giving me hope that discernment is alive and well amongst Gods people.

    As a pastoral of a rural church of 30, I find that 'oh 100 people' to be insulting. I would rather pastor 30 sheep than 3000 goats.

    How in the world can anyone attend a satellite church where they pipe in 'sermons' from another location?

    • @mrfld
      @mrfld 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My church launched one satellite campus during the recession. We were growing and land locked. We were going to build a new campus but financially decided a satellite campus could help with growth and not debt lock us. Then 2 years later a failing church "gave" us their church. Suddenly we were a 3 site campus. Total we are around 3500 people. I attend the main campus so it is usually live. However the pastor will teach from the other sites so occasionally the main campus is video.

      When a church I was attending at a time began doing satellite campuses in other cities - I did not think it was a good idea - my heart thought “why can’t the pastor raise up shepherds and share the flock” - it’s almost like the lust for more ppl under him is a greater power trip -

    He does not think the Bible is exciting enough on its own or relevant enough it needs our help and by the way the church I have been entrusted with is around 50 during season and 30 during the off season .So does that mean that somehow those 50 are not as important as the 2500? Just wondering yes if we decided to entertain we could perhaps grow to 1000 no I think we will be faithful to the gospel and allow God to give the increase.

    • @adamgoodword7888
      @adamgoodword7888 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Frank, its not about faith, attending churches or being a part of a religious institution.
      Being a Christian is about following Jesus. That's it. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
      True Christians don't follow any religion.
      True Christians don't go to "church", they ARE the church.
      True Christians don't have "faith", they "know" that Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit exist through our personal experiences and not merely because we are told to believe or to have faith.
      God bless and may he lead you to the Lord!
      Praise Jesus!

    I think the guy in the pulpit is doing his very best to give a message to an audience that is far larger than anything he has ever preached to before. He may have been nervous and therefore did not want to go too hard on the flock. That being said, a stronger exegestical bent wouldn't do him harm.

    • @KennethSee
      @KennethSee 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No such thing as too hard on the flock. The conviction of the Word of God is life not death to those who have been made alive.

  • @breezybird403
    @breezybird403 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Since we are critiqueing this sermon, "me and my older brother" is not proper. "My brother and I," is correct. How can someone get through college without being corrected? This is elementary level english. Where was he "educated"?

    • @kennethhenderson5644
      @kennethhenderson5644 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your point about his grammar is inconsequential. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 11:6 he was unskilled in speaking, but not so in knowledge. It is better to critique what is being said rather than how it is being said. The way you question his education you come across egotistic. BTW you misspelled critiquing. It is elementary level English to know you drop the "e" with -ing. Also, you did not capitalize English which is another elementary level principle for proper nouns.

    While I do love the way you pick your videos, my only suggestion would be to stop picking the easy ones. Olsteen is an easy target. This video is such an easy target it's obvious to the Christian that's on the meat and not in the milk. I would challenge you to pick on much tougher subjects like the numerous non-biblical dogmas within Catholicism. Or how about picking on fundamental Baptist Dogma? How about the Dogma tongues in the Pentecostal Church? Those are much tougher subjects. The choices on subject matter you seem to choose are very simple and very obvious examples to the Christian that's deep into the meat.
    God Bless and keep continuing to stretch your faith and grow in the Word; not just in the easy stuff.
