Great video. Sadly, I attended Church by the Glades for about a year. This sermon is just scratching the surface of the heresy and apostasy you'll find there. Secular music paired with sexy dance numbers, sermon series based on some very un-Christian Hollyweird movies (including Harry Potter) in which 15 minutes of the 55 minute service are spent watching a clip from the movie, syrupy sweet pop songs by Hillsong Young and Free sung by hipsters in skinny jeans passing for worship, and even a Halloween "service". Pastor David and Pastor Kory are all about motivational speeches using one or two verses taken out of context to proof-text. The candy bar based ad for Dave Ramsay is identical to what they did last year to promote Ramsay. I've since returned to my original church, and I'm so grateful to God for giving me the gift of discernment.

But CBTG (this church) has too many issues. also he preaches from the message. listen I'm not a translation snob, I love a lot of them, but NLT is the best bible translation for newbie Christians.

I've just had my eyes opened to the NAR movement. It's big and every single Christian needs to be careful. Your Bible is your only hope. Read it. Know it. Study it.
I’m in South Florida too and I used to think this church was good at one point when I was a new believer and naive. Thank God the Holy Spirit revealed their heresy to me. I did my own research about them and saw bad things there recently at some young adult events and it’s so hard to watch my friends get lost in that “church’s” clutches

What awes me most is this isn't just a hack jamming together some cut & paste ideas late on a Saturday but a thought-out (not intelligent) and well-coordinated presentation that took a large team to pull off. I would love to be a fly on the wall during their planning sessions for a series. It takes more work in some sense to so manipulate the Scripture and slickly fill time with advertisement and self-help that has a veneer of Christianity that it does to just study and preach the Bible.
I've seen it - they rehearse at over 90dB like a rock concert, then pray that everything will be OK. I once, accidentally, made some rather too loud comment whilst passing the rehearsal room. Whoops! Don't worry, I didn't stay long after that!
These churches are full of narcissistic upper middle class yuppies, that want to be entertained and given a gospel of works. I've been a member of that type of church, and they love to tell you how their wealth comes from their righteousness. If you are poor, then it's because God isn't blessing you, because you don't tithe, have unconfessed sin, etc. So, based on that logic, Hugh Heffner and Larry Flint must be righteous men. I guess Paul was a sinner, since he talked about how much he had to do without, during the course of his missionary journeys. Maybe he just didn't understand how to find the Purpose, Plan, and Destiny God had for him. So glad God led me out of that miserable existence. Constantly being made to feel as though I wasn't measuring up. Thank God for sending his Son, Jesus, the Christ, to suffer and die for me, so that I don't have to measure up. He takes care of that.
The Message is just... terrible. No one should be reading from that. It is not the Word of God, but creates destructive heresies. It's so sad to see men in a position of authority who are withholding the true bread of life from the people. No wonder they need soulish entertainment to stay. There's no spiritual food.

My family raised me in this NAR stuff. After my husband was hurt deeply by a hyper penacostal apostle worshipping NAR church (cult) we havent been able to find a decent church after our eyes were opened to the heresies. We enjoy F4F and Bezelt3 but cant seem to find a lcoal church that isnt like Church by the Glades. I follow my family's church on Instagram and not surprisingly they recently welcomed a Church by the Glades pastor's wife. I was an arrogant, liberal, unbiblical woman, self entitled, unable to accept what scripture says regarding women in church until a humble apologetic teacher reminded me with scripture that woman have a great, quiet, powerful,protected,sacred role and to try and take a man's role is just repeating Eve. The Word of God gives freedom and hope and encouragement.And now I find it so difficult to be around my family who make this church their lives. They count "souls saved" and have satellite churches and worldly lyrics and a fog machine. Its just so sad.

Church is supposed to be fun! Gods word is real and alive! I’ve been to so many kinds of churches worship leading and being behind the scenes. I can tell you church by the glades is real. They don’t do all the lights and the music for shows. They do it for the unbelievers. If I wasn’t saved and someone invited me to church I’d probably turn it down not knowing what was going to happen. Maybe christianity is a cult. Pastor David study’s the word to deliver it the most relatable way to someone that’s not saved. Heaven is not going to be boring. “Psalm 71:23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you- I whom you have delivered.” There are so many verses that God wants us to shout,sing and dance telling others how much we love him. So sad that a lot of people have to judge. No body is perfect if we were then we wouldn’t need Jesus! I still have a relationship with God but I will not put myself in a environment that someone just judges you from your appearance and not your heart and soul. We are all called to do two things and that is praise God and love each other.

Sounds like your church is all about you and you being entertained. True joy is found in communion with God and worship of Him in His perfection and beauty and holiness. You don't find that in a Lady Gaga song, although you might find "fun" singing it at this church. I sincerely pray you find the only true joy and true fulfillment that comes from Jesus and His Word. Do you need all these other things to find joy in Jesus? Can you not find joy in the simple, clear reading of Scripture and prayer? To be totally fair - Dave Ramsey’s class got us turned around financially. It helped our marriage and we got out of debt. We did need the guidance. I agree a sermon isn’t the place for an advertisement. But I’m glad we went through the classes!

I can see how this MIGHT be an effective way to teach 4th graders... MIGHT. But adults? It’s just patronizing, not to mention a mockery of the things of God. To be totally fair - Dave Ramsey’s class got us turned around financially. It helped our marriage and we got out of debt. We did need the guidance. I agree a sermon isn’t the place for an advertisement. But I’m glad we went through the classes!

This is nothing but entertainment like a late night show. It is so sad you have to have bowling alleys, coffee shops, children's play houses to get people to come to church. This is not church! I can't believe so many people are being deceived by this.

After we get baptized we shirk the cross and come out of the water with crowns. Should be pretty rich

I can see how this MIGHT be an effective way to teach 4th graders... MIGHT. But adults? It’s just patronizing, not to mention a mockery of the things of God.
And my word, I’m just so tired of this whole “God wants you to be great”, “God wants you to be this...” “God wants you to be that...” “you’re destined for this”, “you’re destined for that”. Ugh,
it’s just exhausting. Why can’t they just preach the Word and let it be?

Imagine walking into your church and being handed a ZeroBar or a box of Milk Duds. What a downer. God thought so much more of us than that. He sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins. I know I am more than a Zero according to God. God is more worthy than a slick Hollywood style church production. And if this guy's financial university is so successful why can't this "pastor" afford to wear more than jeans and a t-shirt when he gives these motivational speeches?

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.” A bible verse taken so out of context found in Matthew 7:1-2.
Then in 2 Timothy 3:16 -17 it reads this, since we are quoting the bible, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
These mega churches and the people who go there need to get into God’s Word...we want to hear “Well done good and faithful servant”; "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'” - Matthew 7:21-23. People, wake up, don’t be so gullible, don’t be deceived.

If your a true follower of Christ your supposed to separate your self from the world. Didn’t know you could still watch trash on tv & go to worldly evil movies ect ? So I guess today you can call yourself a Christian & still do everything you did before you became a Christian. That’s exactly why I don’t call myself a Christian anymore because there’s way to many different kinds. So now I call myself a fully functioning follower of Christ .

Imagine spending time judging how others receive the Word. A 25 minute video was made to criticize a message and what does that accomplish? Spend time encouraging people rather than being so self righteous. Christians are supposed to be on the same team, not critical of each other as to how they receive the Word.
This guy is exactly the type of guy I run from. How anyone can follow him is beyond me. He is absolutely appalling.
