Takes me back to the days and nights sitting on the rocks below Ft. Loudon Dam and Watts Bar Dam fishing for those Tennessee River catfish. We caught cats on just about everything you can catch em on, I reckon. Everything from night crawlers to store-bought catfish bait to bluegills. I've heard it said by a fisherman I have a lot of respect for. "Fishing is a sport that's second to none." I have to agree. I don't get to do it like I used to but I get to go along with you, Richard. I can't think of a better fishing buddy off hand. Thank you for that, Richard. All ya'll need to go fishing when you can because, one day, you might not be able to much anymore. Don't waste it! 👍🎣🎣🎣

I went fishing in Tennessee and use what I learned from you, a jig tied with a loop knot on a 4lb test line and caught a 23 inch stripe bass and tons of saugers and white bass. I told the people who were also fishing there that I learned that from you and to watch your channel. I'm talking about wooooo!!!!
Had the same problem at the dam yesterday right down from where you caught your bait fish. Caught only four small bream for bait and no luck. My dad in fact caught two nice channel cats on night crawlers. I look fer ya every time I go down there just to get the chance to meet you and shake your hand. The day is coming. Watching your stuff has gotten me into a major fishing mood here lately, for the first time since my dad passed 3 years ago, to the point that my wife has gotten tired of hearing me talk about it. Been wondering around a few docks here in SE Kentucky trying to find something. No real luck yet. Hate the fact that the only river/lake local to me, has such few public access points. LOTS on private land...but yea...don't feel like getting shot. Really need to start saving up for a little boat. Keep it up! You got a few screws loose, but its hella entertaining.

have you tried a three way swivel with a leader to your hook and a leader to your weight at you can figure how far off the bottom you want your bait to be by length of leader to your weight . this rig works decent in rocks as far as getting hung just remember when reeling it in to keep rod tip high . nice fish ! good video
I made up the same kind of bluegill rig for catching my live bait, sometimes I'll snell 2 or 3 hooks together down the same line without cutting the line, quick and easy way to double or triple up your bait and save you some time.

I remember the 1st time I had a cat bite me. It took me and my buddy who only has 1 arm to pry it's mouth open to get it off my thumb. It wasn't a very big yellow cat caught in Reedy Creek.
I’ve used gizzard shad right there at that very dam, and you can’t get that smell off of you ugh. I like the crawly bottoms or yellow tail shad to catch those big stripe.

I've been using Berkeley big game rods for catfish a few years and they haven't let me down yet. They are very good rods for the money.

I use a Big Game rod for catfish also but its a spinning rod. For the price they are really good. Ive hauled in some pretty good cats on mine.
