Made in Pokemon SoulSilver version. Ash's team is based off of his Kanto League team from the Indigo Plateau arc of the Original series. Gary's team is based on his Kanto League team.

Well to be fair. Red and Blue did target him more and thus it could be said they saw him as the bigger threat and thus tagged teamed his pokemon. So really If I was Gary I would feel honored that the pair would think of me as such a threat.

So let me get this straight, Ash made Pikachu quick attack Red's Pikachu instead of using thunderbolt on Gyrados..
I expected that, but good grief.
kinda made sense, the speed was faster on Ash's pikachu. If he didntuse quick attack, Red would have and killed Ash's before he could land a thunderbolt.

Gary is right about one this Ash is a loser he dosent even remotely compare to RED. He only caught a handful of pokemon, couldnt beat the weakest of team rocket members while RED crushed their organization by himself and completed the pokedex minus being unable to track down Mew.
@pokemon fan who said i was talking abt origins? Thats isnt even cannon im talking about the manga which has been out for years. I said ash only caught several pokemon 6 never was uttered by my lips you came up with that number. legitimately caught a few most of the pokemon just decided to join him he didnt catch them. The Red from manga made the whole organization disband and was considered to be the very best of his time even Lance fought side by side with him because he respected his ability. FYI Red from origins was just a fanmade dub only a fanboy would use would bring that to make a point wasent even close to the real RED.
@pokemon fan no problem i posted that before i went to sleep so didnt add much information there but if you compared manga blue/Red and also Gary/Ash from the show by strength and skill as trainers, their would be a large gap in their ability not saying at ash/gary are terrible trainers they both raised decent teams but in real pokemon battle from the manga they would have been crushed by Red and Blue. Remember at that time they were both considered pokemon masters a title not easily earned. Not to mention at that point Gary and Ash would not be able to work as a team. For 3 reasons their lack of experience having to work with a rival,ash's lack of confidence and 3 Gary's ego.
@pokemon fan you misinterpret what i mean by "real Red" obviously he is a fictional character so he isn't real when i say real its the original story and character from the Japanese Manga which is cannon. Origins and even the games have his character and personality based on audience and viewer approval. In addition they aren't cannon so therefore shouldn't be used to defend or discredit anything. The Red from manga talked he wasent a mute that only said ......... He wasent like Red from origins. He was decisive' cold,calculated and ruthless he knew every type weakness and had teams for every type used by trainers and in the manga put fear in eyes of rocket boss for how badly he destroyed him, Lance was in awe of tactics he used in pokemon battles. TBH i dont like origins because it turned his original character design look weak dramatic and over emotional.

Training works a lot differently between the games and the Anime, so obviously, yeah, maybe Red would have higher level Pokemon than Ash if the battle was happening on his "home turf" of the game mechanics, but Ash would wreck Red on his home turf of the Anime universe, because Red's Pokemon would only know how to stand still and fire off turn-based attacks.

Freedom costs tax then why not just use his rematch team? He has Rhydon and Gyarados on his gym team, but they're swapped out for Rhyperior and Tyranitar when rematched.

If people are wondering why Charizard wouldn't obey Ash, it's likely because Ash didn't earn most of his Gym Badges through winning battles. Most of them were given to him because of helping them for one reason or another (fighting off Team Rocket, saving a Pokémon from a massive fire, making Sabrina and Kadabra laugh too hard to battle, etc.). It could also be argued that Blaine's battle wasn't through Ash's merits either since Charizard was just motivated to fight and Ash's commands just happened to line up with Charizard's whims. Admittedly, that last one was a theory from someone I talked to.
Furthermore, Charizard was considered Ash's strongest Pokémon. Perhaps some of Charizard's attitude was because he knew he was the strongest of Ash's Pokémon and could get away with his disrespectful nature because none of Ash's team were strong enough to take him down individually. Also, Ash just seemed to be too weak-willed to earn Charizard's respect, letting his Fire-type walk all over him. If Ash were more authoritative and proactive about training his other Pokémon, maybe Charizard would be more inclined to listen.

Badges are considered a mark of a trainer's skill. Only two of Ash's badges were truly legitimate wins (Lt. Surge and Koga's badges). Blaine's was debatable since Charizard went back to being a lazy jerk right after the fight and Ash fought Team Rocket in Giovanni's place.
When would Team Rocket ever pose a serious challenge in a fair fight? Even when their boss gave them strong Pokémon, they still screwed up.

well Gary is sort of right. Ashes team is unevolved and his charaard did zip...... they were fighting Red the most powerful trainer in the pokemon world... even with level equilized I guess the best still is the best.......

The medical technology in the games is a lot more advanced than in the anime or manga. That probably explains why we never see Ash use any kind of recovery item while battling.
Bryan Merrill Time for me to Counter that. In one of the anime episodes, a trainer is seen spraying a Pokémon with a Potion to heal its wounds. ( I kinda forgot _where in the anime_ )

Gary, you guys were screwed anyway. Charizard was going toe to toe with a Blastoise that knew hydro cannon... It wasn't going to walk out unscathed.
Not only that. Charizard was also not strong enough to take a hit from Blastoise to size up what power he was facing. So by the time he realised what a challenge Blastoise was, he'd be OHKO'd and not have a chance to retaliate
Ash should have attacked Gyarados with thunderbolt instead of the other Pikachu. Nidoking could defeat the Pikachu.

This was a really well done video (and had the objectively correct ending, though the battling choices themselves were... poor, to the point of total nonrealism from the perspective of Red and Blue/Green, who would never consider playing that poorly), but you overused exclamation points in Red's dialogue. Several of those should just have been "...".
