Straighten the wig strand with a straightener! After crimping, brush with a bristle brush then straighten. This stretches the hair fibers giving you the volume of crimping, but smoothness as well.
You made it soooo simple. I'm trying now & didn't get the tip to go over multiple times NOR why a bristle brush was important. I'm gonna finish the way I'm doing now & then go back over it with the proper tools. Thanks so much!! *subscribed* :)
This was so so so incredibly helpful. i've been looking for a tutorial on how to spike a longer wig but this was the first one i managed to find, but you explain it super well! thank you so much!
i m look for best of wig from store? thank you so much ..for share your tutorial! i really happy to learn how do wig crimping for start to take a beginners and work to easy a way . 😁
I've been using this method for a few years. It's so amazing, and i love the results. the one thing i dislike is how long it can take with longer wigs. 😭 I did this crimping method for a long pink wig for Zerotwo. It took over an hour 🥹.
Thank you very much for the tutorial! I like the fluffiness crimping gives but I hate that the top layers are still not smooth. Is it possible to only crimp the "inner layers" of the hair? So you geht the fluffyness but cover it with pretty smooth hair? I prefer that look :D But else: I feel like it would help a lot to use crimping to get some volume thank you
You can do it with ratting/back combing hair, where you separate a layer that drapes on top of the ratted hair. With crimping, I’m not sure how much it would hold the un-crimped layer, but it wouldn’t hurt to try!
It boggles my mind how just crimping it gets it to form spikes? Like Ive seen the teasing method everywhere else and cosplayers are suggesting this method

Honestly cannot thank you enough for this tutorial! I took my first stab at crimping and your advice and video helped me stupid amounts
ah you're so welcome! I'm glad it helped and good luck on your wigs!
If anyone doesn't have fabric glue, you can use regular Elmer's glue for tips as well! I learned that tip from a drag queen.
aah thank you, will it be easily washed off? (please say yes 🥺)
@@AC-md7ij It comes off with warm water since it's just Elmer's glue, you may need to soak it though.

Hello cna i ask. What type of hairbrush you using o.o
Do you happen to have the link to the wig?
Do you have any method to flatten a wig in case it's too poofy and makes it look like you have a fat head
does anyone know if there's a way to undo this on a synthetic wig?
What if you don't have a hair dryer?
I was just guessing that you brushed it out with the wooden bristle brush but I wanted to make sure, I was right, I guessed right

ahhh yeah the hands really start to HURT during those long wigs but definitely worth it!

My crimper doesn't make it fluffy and my wig looks flat, like I didn't use it

do we need a crimper?
you don't need one for wigs but it really helps!
From the perspective of a photographer: PLZ DONT CRIMP YOUR WIGS. It doesnt look as good as you think.
wig crimping is the worst cosplay trend to have come out in the community
not, really?, unless you mean when they have the crimp marks which, is really preference dependent
What can u use if u don’t have a crimper😭🥲
I think you can use hairspray or hair dryer:DD
