  • Matty and I end our day with my favorite dragonback section of Locust Gap and a little rock crawling. We were beat and cut the rock crawling single a little short at the end. We'll revisit this section in the future to capture the whole trail.

Some of that looks pretty gnarly

@@DirtRaider450 it kept us busy for sure! I try to divide our rides into sections of the day or by trail instead of bouncing all around; this was the very last part of our day and we were cooked!

@@weeblewobbles I understand. I have been trying to work up to 1 hour rides and its tough.

@@DirtRaider450 we're usually out for 5 hours +/-. But we also take frequent stops, a snack/fuel break etc. And we're certainly not racing through the trails.

Great stuff! I have to get out there soon.

The dragonback section is one I try to do every time we're there, but I'm usually met with some resistance from everyone else. The last rocky trail was an accident, but I want to check out more of it.

Just checked out burma for the first time with the same bike. Loving the vids man

Nice! Burma is a great spot. Always something to explore there. Did you do anything to the bike? After the first ride, I caved and bought BeRad's freight train kit. It basically turns it into a lightweight 300

@weeblewobbles put on an aluminum skid plate some hand guards and the oversized tank. I'm just starting to get fully comfy with getting loose on the bike. Been watching all of your videos getting so pumped to get back out there. Out of the fro single track which do you find the most mellow? Love the content thanks for the reply.

@@billcreek1234 Locust Gap and Burma have the best overall variety. Parts of each can be pretty nasty, but you're more likely to find something there that's not so deadly.
At Locust Gap, I'd recommend heading across 54. It's pretty flat over there.
At Burma, there's a section right off the parking lot that is pretty tame as well past the coal piles. There's also North of the parking lot at Burma bordering a watershed, but the entrance is tricky and continues for the first maybe half mile
There's also this: th-cam.com/video/2QTmN88H-5s/w-d-xo.html if you haven't seen it at Ashland North over 61 BUT everything else at Ashland North that I've ever found is not beginner friendly.
This is generalized advice; even the tame sections have some pretty wild stuff with a wrong turn or two. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I try to upload weekly and break videos into trail systems or "portions of the day" Should have some more this coming Sunday and Monday. I'm on a 23 yz125x; apex head, boysen rad valve, lectron billetron, funnel web air filter (all in BeRad's freight train kit), and a steahly flywheel weight. It's a little bore doin' big bore stuff!

@@DavidFox-m4n Sweet! Do it! I've been out in that environment for a little over a year now but grew up in my parent's yard and then moved to the street. So it's all pretty new to me up there. Some of the older videos will show that, but I don't want to take them down because there is a satisfaction in seeing progress. Lmk when you pull the trigger and we'll take you to some wild trails!
