Great Job! looking forward to the "potted" plant. You should try one of the best adhesive combinations - crazy glue (fast drying gorilla glue can work) and cotton balls. Can give you a closer and strong bond and neater finish.
I like the making of this pot. For the bigger gaps you could fill in with un-milled sphagnum moss. After you wet the moss it is easier to work with to fill the cracks that are too big for you. I think you did a good job on this first pot of yours. Coming along very nice. Stick with it and sit and think of what else you want to do more on it. Remember. Practice makes perfect and with your skills you are on your way to make some cool pots, Banner.
Have you tried the BT donuts? They are called Mosquito Dunks and keeps eggs from hatching in the water. Your hardware store should have them or a garden nursery out your way.

I want to get more handy with things to reduce the overall cost... So if I learn how to make pots and make them according to my vision, I will be creating some nice bodies of work 🎉🎉🎉
