Talk about the need 4 total control - this judge is trying 2 control every bit of questioning the defense whats 2 ask. She's looking pretty biased already : (
What’s with this judge? I feel like she is trying to not allow defense to make their case. It’s annoying and a really good way to appealing judges bias.
I've been wondering this since yesterday too, the only thing I can think of is that they've had a preliminary hearing or have stipulated that certain evidence shouldn't come in?
Yep the judge told them at one of the last pre trial hearings that neither side is to make speaking objections, or even the legal basis for objection. She told them just to say objection & she would rule or call a sidebar if more info is needed.
This judge is biased and it is very plain to see. I don't know if the defendant is guilty or innocent, would prefer to hear the entire trial and evidence first, but the judge has very strange behaviors that benefit the prosecution it seems. And the sighing... What in the world?

Questions: responding paramedics say visibility not good due to heavy snowing, yet Reid spotted boyfriend’s body in the snow through foggy car windows even though those in car with her could not see it. Reid starts mouth to mouth resuscitation. After doing that Reid later asks if the body is her boyfriend’s? Huh? Who did she think she was giving CPR to? She spots a body on the lawn at the house she dropped her boyfriend off at, gives that body CPR and then asks if it is her boyfriend’s”? While paramedics worked on victim’s body Reid yelled “I hit him” either in response to the paramedic’s question or stating it to another female. Why would Reid yell “I hit him” without knowing the actual cause of his death or whether it was her boyfriend? That statement implies she knew he was hit with a car. Plus paramedics said they did not identify the body until he was in the ambulance, so Reid already knew it was her boyfriend even though she was asking if it was her boyfriend. Officer stated Reid left the scene and returned later. Where did she go, and why did she leave? There seemed to be an issue about whether victim had a jacket or hoodie. Was he wearing the same clothes he had on at the Waterfall? Did police ever find his lost shoe? Why did police not question anyone in the house where the body was found on a lawn and ask if the victim was a family member or a visitor? Why did they not question anyone in the house if they heard any noice or any commotion outside? Why were home residents not curious about a body found on their lawn and offer what they knew or didn’t know to the police. Why wouldn’t residents of the home come out after hearing Women screaming and seeing ambulance and police cars outside on their lawn?
@@TreesRLifeX they actually did say leaf blower, oddly enough lol. I think the cop was walking around with it to move around the top layer of snow to look for tail light pieces. So basically disturbing the scene lol
What about a fair trial???? This judge is appalling. How qualified is she to be so undignified with her attitude and behavior that is very clearly biased, prejudiced, unprofessional, and taints the case. If i was on that jury I would make a song and dance about her interference. Disgusted. Its subtle but damaging
Honestly someone should let them know how this behavior is affecting the court room, it is us and we’re not in the room! It’s so distracting and super unprofessional! Hate your job QUIT
This judge. Wow. I don’t know anything much about this case and am learning along with the jury, but I’ve watched enough trials to know that the judge is supposed to be the judge of the LAW only and the jury judges the evidence. This judge doesn’t hear the reason for an objection before ruling? The lawyers could just throw objections out when they don’t like something and see “what sticks”…no need to actually know the law. This is weird.
So why is no one asking why NO one from the house came outside to check on why all the police ambulances and fire engines were at their house? And especially after that one female went in the house?? I find that so very strange!! If Karen Read was screaming that certainly heard that from in the house.. Please make it make sense
Vinnie Politan made a great point. Look at the reception Karen gets compared to John O’Keefe’s family. They lost their son. The poor Dad can barely make it up the stairs, and his mom is absolutely heartbroken. While Karen struts in like a celebrity. Clearly, the supporters are delusional.
It’s possible that the victim was beaten and dog attacked him first, then murder and officers who beat him carried his body outside and left him on the ground and then was backed into because he wasn’t in view. Her not knowing what took place originally assumed she caused his injuries. Then latter the truth came through. The truth will always rise to the surface.
There's a big problem with the sub basal skull fracture . You don't get that from falling on to the ground. You get that from a baseball bat or falling onto a concrete floor. THose dog bites came from fingernails. There are five parallel ones in one case. That German shepherd was got rid of just to confuse matters. There is a snow plough driver who is yet to testify who they say will testify he saw KR's truck adjacent to where the body was found at the time that KR said she was driving around looking for O'Keefe. If the Alberts were involved , what were they going to get out of it ? I suspect KR expected to get a police life insurance payout if if was found as an accidental death. TE. Fidler
@@F_Tim1961 Karen isn’t married to the victim. I haven’t heard of any life insurance policy. The black car near the body wasn’t Karen’s car. It was a FORD. Anyone can tell those are scratches from an animal on his arm. The basement of the house he was at was completely cleaned out. Dog is now rehomed. That house the victim was beat up at is for sale or soled. Not only that, that house was in that officer’s family for generations. Why would he sell it now? There’s way too much pointing at the men who were all together that night at that house then there’s anything against Karen. Yes, backing up slowly into someone you can’t see isn’t going to cause the injuries that Johnny endured. They went nuts on him.
@@margaretmorris-calderon2826 . Ok it was a Ford so it was not Karen R checking out if JOK was dead... that's the impression people have received. Rhetorical question - why would KR say to the desk cop that she had "pulverised " JOK that night when she was charged with second degree murder ? it's as if she thought the car had gone over him and squashed him but her intent was to claim it was a backing accident ? and it would cover up the assault that caused the basal skull fracture ? Problem is - the Lexus SUV clearly has too much ground clearance over a prone man , or she in fact never did back over him. (??) The scratches appear to be too far apart to be dog claw marks . ditto dogs have four main claws on the front paws. In a serious dog attack the dog would attack the hands too. NOthing adds up - the dog is a patsy I think. LE should have gone to huge efforts to track down said dog. Ditto the mishandling of the clothing by det. Proctor suggests somebody wanted zero testing for G Shepherd DNA done. This could easily go to a hung jury but the "pulverise " comment is a huge problem for KR. Ditto phone / SMS messages she sent to JOK which showed her rage against him. TEF

It has all the look of a staged crime but it looks as if she wanted to take a fall for a serious motor vehicle accident to cover for others (who may have been executing a serious beating on her behalf ... ?). I could see it going to a mistrial and then the state having to give up, after trying to negotiate a plea deal. Her lawyers are competent and are pointing fingers in all the conspiratorial directions. KR of course went nuts and accused O'Keefe of doing various boy stuff. I've heard the judge loudly sigh attest 3 times 5 minutes into rye defense cross examination. Far too often this is type of bias I observe while watching these trials. If it's a search for the truth, why is it so apparent that the judge and the prosecutor seem to be on the same side? Justice isn't as blind as it was designed to be.
It's because the defense is a joke. Definitely a stretch. A bunch of cops beat them up and framed her. Lol. I guess that's the best they can come up with
I think Karen knew and said she hit the BF cop with her car and seemed shocked that he was dead, so it begs the question WHY she didn’t plead to a drunken manslaughter?? But I guess she can’t if she hit him earlier and left him there to die in snow and went back hours later for her alibi and big acting job to pretend she just found him! Being drunk lead to poor decisions trying to hide a crime! Hope jury sees this! I strongly feel she ran him over in drunk anger fit of rage and took off in anger but plotted her evil recovery act at home before coming back. No way the firefighter is lying today about hearing Karen say, “I hit him” several times! Her conscience was speaking there! She screwed up!
Why wasn’t his body on the lawn when 11+ people left the house and didn’t see a body? The lawn is SMALL. Also the plow driver who’s gsp places him driving by the scene at 230am says no body. Why did Jen McCabe google “hos long to die in cold” at 227am? You cannot logically believe Karen hit John lol 😂
Your boyfriend and co-parent of two little kids dies, you grab a bag and never see the fam again?? Either way tragic situation for these families. Booze is bs.
I hope her legal team shows how much she loved and cared for his niece and nephew. He got upset when she spoiled them? She clearly loved them and understood how tragic their story is. My God loosing your mom and dad within weeks as a young child. Most of their arguments were probably under the influence. Why the heck don’t cops Uber?
I’m very interested in this dynamic between her and the kids. They were old enough to have an opinion and I’m wondering how they feel about Karen before and after this. I’ve read somewhere can’t remember that they DID NOT like her and John okeefe felt like she was mean to them.
I agree, why doesn't everyone Uber if they're gonna be drinking. Especially cops!!! They should know better. I understand cops think they'll get out of a DUI but the simple fact of killing someone or themselves is crazy to me!! Coos don't think the law applies to them sometimes.
I think I would want to know if any of the witnesses, who never heard her say she hit him, have been approached and asked to lie about what happened that night.
I’ve never heard of this case except it was recommended to me after I watched the Leticia Stauch trial ( which was also a long but incredibly interesting trial and I went to a forum wanting another good one to plunge into, and here I am )… In the comments of the Leticia Stauch trial, it was all in support of the prosecution, but rightfully so. A lot of people were bashing the defense in that trial ( same as the Wade Wilson trial ) physically, as well as professionally. I’m also aware of innocent until proven guilty with all Americans allowed to have a right to counsel, either by choice or appointed, and a fair trial. I know any defense team still has a job despite who their defendant is. This case seems quite opposite, and I’m trying to stay open minded, so Im wondering if most people know more about this case ( I know absolutely nothing and prefer trials like that so I can see where my heart lies based on the evidence as if I was a juror) and therefore explains the trolling on the judge and the responding officers. It’s just too soon for me to tell but I wanted to remark it now and continue to put my thoughts down in the comments, as I go through the days of this trial.
O'Keefe didn't have a jacket in the bar. The jacket is not in the inventory. Have they changed his clothes in the house to remove any trace of DNA? Where is the jacket?
I feel like Off Sharaf tried to do the right thing, but is caught in a rock and a hard place with his fellow officers. Im struggling to make him be the bad guy. I doubt he changed the dispatch log or other bs. He said she was focused on the Vic and trying to do CPR. (I’m only at that part so far so I don’t have a full judgment). I just think as of now he isn’t intentionally trying to make KR the actual murderer. I think his testimony is what’s helping show the shadiness of the everyone else. But again, I’m not done watching everything. My opinions are based as someone who is an investigator and has to testify. Yes KR may come across as overly confident or cocky…..but that doesn’t mean she is a killer. A drunk, yes. Sidenote: am I the only one who thinks she looks like Lori Vallow 😮
Yes, and it's a tactic used by lawyers/prosecutors in order to put the jury to sleep. "Nothing to see here, nothing stands out, business as usual, don't pay attention to it." They use it all the time, control the tempo control the narrative.
i couldn't hear some of it but i did hear home at the end of it. you can clearly tell he's answering her when in fact he didn't include this part in report. she did at least attempt to answer him.
Yes and I find it very likely scratches came from a female's fingernails! This is a key fact. It is very unlikely men scratch when fighting. Therefore I don't believe he was beat up by cops. Leaning towards guilty
@@babyjane87 yeah but they also have evidence of her vehicle traveling in reverse 60 ft at over 20 mph. Right in front of the house according to her vehicle computer. And the biggest one, John's hair found in the tail light. Now I'm really leaning guilty
Is the theory that she pulled away, threw it in reverse, hit him, then went forward, then backed up into him again where she broke the tail light? where did the cuts on his arm come from?
And also the defense let the Jury know that the leaf blower could also get rid of dog prints paw prints that’s why they use the leaf blower. They’re not stupid.
I have to say this I am amazed how great Higgins is doing Omg he has this defense attorney going and for people to say he is a cop and knows how to reset a phone so do I factory reset this defense attorney and Karen's side kicks need to get a life Remember who passed away a good cop John the Boston police officer 🙏🙏 only reason Karen has those people walking around with sign's only for attention 😂😂😂
The judge is oddly biased here and it is frustration. Every time the defense wants to show video she stops their flow and calls them to sidebar and has issue with it, but never during direct. The Prosecution can teeter on leading with the "What if any" trick (that shows a lack of skill btw) while putting the whole town to sleep but she never stops them. Defense gets ready to perjure a witness or at least make them look questionable, she magically stops the flow.
so far, I see lying, crooked cops...absolutely pathetic. ....i hope the truth comes out and there is complete accountability and repercussions for this "in house" production.

There's no way she hit him with her car and there be no evidence of that happening. No debris around the body no bodily injury to his torso. I don't see her hitting with her rig so hard he falls down and passes out and she doesn't notice or care cause she obviously did care for him.
Wooooww. Defense coming out with a BANG! Something as simple, yet extremely important, as the dispatch log is inaccurate!?
Talk about the need 4 total control - this judge is trying 2 control
every bit of questioning the defense whats 2 ask. She's looking
pretty biased already : (
What’s with this judge? I feel like she is trying to not allow defense to make their case. It’s annoying and a really good way to appealing judges bias.
Why do they not have to state what the objection is?
I've been wondering this since yesterday too, the only thing I can think of is that they've had a preliminary hearing or have stipulated that certain evidence shouldn't come in?
Yep the judge told them at one of the last pre trial hearings that neither side is to make speaking objections, or even the legal basis for objection. She told them just to say objection & she would rule or call a sidebar if more info is needed.
The sighing from the judge when the defense is talking is disturbing!
Officer Saraf is an overweight cop just trying to last another couple years for that pension. Embarrassment
Wow defense is awesome. I would hire him as my trial lawyer.
Alan Jackson has a 96% success rate and is named one of the best 100 lawyers in California
This judge is biased and it is very plain to see. I don't know if the defendant is guilty or innocent, would prefer to hear the entire trial and evidence first, but the judge has very strange behaviors that benefit the prosecution it seems. And the sighing... What in the world?
I've never seen a seasoned detective to be so non-committal in answering questions about actual facts and police procedure in a court...unless....

Get rid of this judge!!!!
Using a leaf blower at a potential crime scene! wow just wow🙄🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Snow* but I agree lol
@@TreesRLifeX they actually did say leaf blower, oddly enough lol. I think the cop was walking around with it to move around the top layer of snow to look for tail light pieces. So basically disturbing the scene lol
@@SarLizNoo fair enough. I thought I heard snow blower but I was working while listening so could have just assumed that’s what was said
lol if there WAS any evidence… it’s “gone with the wind” now 💨
Also they didn't take photos of the lawn before searching for evidence. Seems strange to rush like that considering the victim died already.
Anyone else get nauseous when the judge flaps her jaw?
Judge sighing everytime defence speaks
Yes, her bias is not subtle. She should have excused herself.
I was just getting ready to comment the same thing. Totally uncalled for.
Normally judges side more with the prosecutors because many judges were former prosecutors. But for the most part they’re supposed to stay natural.
To be fair, she heavy breathes no matter who is talking. Makes me wonder if she has COPD or something??
To be fair, everyone that’s been close to their microphone has been heard “heavily” breathing and exhaling. 🤷♀️could just be an audio situation.
This is fascinating. Great lawyering!
Please don’t do the RED BORDER on the video, that confuses as a watched video, put another color pleaseeee!
lol
This judge.
Firefighter at the stand is top notch 👍⚖️
Did anyone notice the vehicle when this cop pulled up to the scene. If that was Ms. Reed’s vehicle the tail lights did not look broken.
No wonder trails take so long. They have the weekend off, all kinds of half days then tomorrow off too? Same with Daybell trial.
These cops are so evasive 😮😅
never a good idea to drink and drive . ⚖️

@@F_Tim1961
Karen isn’t married to the victim.
The scratches appear to be too far apart to be dog claw marks . ditto dogs have four main claws on the front paws.

@@margaretmorris-calderon2826 If KR smashed the tail light backing into John then surely he 'd have leg bruising where the bumper hit him because the force required to smash that light is considerable. Plus the chances of at least one wheel running over some part of his body ...? THe whole story is nuts including her supposed admission on the night that she did it.
But she sounds like a general nutcase so perhaps he wanted to move on and avoid her. The book ended differently.

Firemen are so different to Cops in their attitude and professionalism
Maybe the snow by that time covered them up if it were blizzard like conditions
But where his body appears to have been found doesn't appear to be near the driveway so you would have to drive on the lawn and down the curb?
Confusing
Yes his body wasn’t covers except “dusting”. He has not been out there 6 hours.
Wouldn’t she have to be traveling faster to hit him hard enough to break the taillight ?
Yes you’d think so

Oh he was on the lawn, I thought since they're trying to say she hit him he'd be more on the road. Hmmm
Right. I hope that point gets directly made. It doesn’t make sense.
So he couldn't have tried to crawl there himself before he died?
@@lindaaitken7679 that’s possible. But how do you explain no damage to his lower body?
He could have been bending down when hit
@@suebdoo5152 I can’t visualize his body being in any position, even bent over, where only his face got hit. And how that would have been enough to incapacitate him enough that he would have fallen over and not been able to get up.
Eh, possible but not likely.
What? That’s a lot assumption going on there.
She probably thought she hit him, because she would never imagine a house full of law enforcement would beat him up to death !
Because she didnt hit him. He was attacked and beaten.
How convenient to use a leaf blower to get rid of the footprints that could possibly incriminate people in the house
Your boyfriend and co-parent of two little kids dies, you grab a bag and never see the fam again?? Either way tragic situation for these families. Booze is bs.

These are best witnesses the prosecutor could find? 🙄🙄 They can't recall anything & they don't write anything down.
How many times is the prosecutor going to say “sorta”! 🙉
Why do they not have to say what the objection is for?
“What, if anything” …over and over by the prosecutor!

Judge is obviously biased against the defendant / defense.
Who cares how long McCabe talked to the Canton Police Officer
the whole trial is going to be unwatchable if the prosecutor's voice remains so quiet and unclear, has nobody noticed this? jeez 🙄

The judges sighing is… well it’s something.
