    • @OliviaNile
      @OliviaNile 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

@@brandybiscoff9685 False. Speaking objections and giving the grounds for an objection are two very different things. The judge precluded counsel from stating the grounds for their objection. This is highly abnormal.
Most if not all judges are lawyers. That’s hardly relevant to her decision to eliminate counsels’ ability to give grounds for, or conversely hear grounds of, an objection.
More likely, it’s because she’s aware she’s overwhelmingly outclassed by the defense attorneys and unable to think on her toes like they are, hence the sidebar rule-allowing her more time and for the public to not know whether her ruling on said objection, or any objection for that matter, was appropriate or fair.

    • @shieh.4743

Verbal objections aren't just for the judge, they also matter for the record and her rulings. Mind you, I don't know much about MA law or procedures, so I could be wrong, but I've never ever heard objections not stating reasons. When one side objects, the other side needs clarity on the reason. Otherwise it is like playing whack-o-mole with questioning. An objection due to lack of foundation vs an objection due to say witness isn't an expert could appear from a similar question, but how do you rebut or form a clearer question if you don't know. Judge is very unprofessional I think.

Questions: responding paramedics say visibility not good due to heavy snowing, yet Reid spotted boyfriend’s body in the snow through foggy car windows even though those in car with her could not see it. Reid starts mouth to mouth resuscitation. After doing that Reid later asks if the body is her boyfriend’s? Huh? Who did she think she was giving CPR to? She spots a body on the lawn at the house she dropped her boyfriend off at, gives that body CPR and then asks if it is her boyfriend’s”? While paramedics worked on victim’s body Reid yelled “I hit him” either in response to the paramedic’s question or stating it to another female. Why would Reid yell “I hit him” without knowing the actual cause of his death or whether it was her boyfriend? That statement implies she knew he was hit with a car. Plus paramedics said they did not identify the body until he was in the ambulance, so Reid already knew it was her boyfriend even though she was asking if it was her boyfriend. Officer stated Reid left the scene and returned later. Where did she go, and why did she leave? There seemed to be an issue about whether victim had a jacket or hoodie. Was he wearing the same clothes he had on at the Waterfall? Did police ever find his lost shoe? Why did police not question anyone in the house where the body was found on a lawn and ask if the victim was a family member or a visitor? Why did they not question anyone in the house if they heard any noice or any commotion outside? Why were home residents not curious about a body found on their lawn and offer what they knew or didn’t know to the police. Why wouldn’t residents of the home come out after hearing Women screaming and seeing ambulance and police cars outside on their lawn?

THose dog bites came from fingernails. There are five parallel ones in one case.
That German shepherd was got rid of just to confuse matters.
There is a snow plough driver who is yet to testify who they say will testify he saw KR's truck adjacent to where the body was found at the time that KR said she was driving around looking for O'Keefe.
If the Alberts were involved , what were they going to get out of it ? I suspect KR expected to get a police life insurance payout if if was found as an accidental death.

The black car near the body wasn’t Karen’s car. It was a FORD.
Anyone can tell those are scratches from an animal on his arm.
The basement of the house he was at was completely cleaned out. Dog is now rehomed. That house the victim was beat up at is for sale or soled. Not only that, that house was in that officer’s family for generations. Why would he sell it now? There’s way too much pointing at the men who were all together that night at that house then there’s anything against Karen. Yes, backing up slowly into someone you can’t see isn’t going to cause the injuries that Johnny endured. They went nuts on him.

@@margaretmorris-calderon2826 . Ok it was a Ford so it was not Karen R checking out if JOK was dead... that's the impression people have received.
Rhetorical question - why would KR say to the desk cop that she had "pulverised " JOK that night when she was charged with second degree murder ? it's as if she thought the car had gone over him and squashed him but her intent was to claim it was a backing accident ? and it would cover up the assault that caused the basal skull fracture ? Problem is - the Lexus SUV clearly has too much ground clearance over a prone man , or she in fact never did back over him. (??)
The scratches appear to be too far apart to be dog claw marks . ditto dogs have four main claws on the front paws. In a serious dog attack the dog would attack the hands too. NOthing adds up - the dog is a patsy I think. LE should have gone to huge efforts to track down said dog.
Ditto the mishandling of the clothing by det. Proctor suggests somebody wanted zero testing for G Shepherd DNA done.
This could easily go to a hung jury but the "pulverise " comment is a huge problem for KR. Ditto phone / SMS messages she sent to JOK which showed her rage against him.

It has all the look of a staged crime but it looks as if she wanted to take a fall for a serious motor vehicle accident to cover for others (who may have been executing a serious beating on her behalf ... ?).
I could see it going to a mistrial and then the state having to give up, after trying to negotiate a plea deal. Her lawyers are competent and are pointing fingers in all the conspiratorial directions. KR of course went nuts and accused O'Keefe of doing various boy stuff. I don’t know anything much about this case and am learning along with the jury, but I’ve watched enough trials to know that the judge is supposed to be the judge of the LAW only and the jury judges the evidence. This judge doesn’t hear the reason for an objection before ruling? The lawyers could just throw objections out when they don’t like something and see “what sticks”…no need to actually know the law. I’ve never heard of this case except it was recommended to me after I watched the Leticia Stauch trial ( which was also a long but incredibly interesting trial and I went to a forum wanting another good one to plunge into, and here I am )… In the comments of the Leticia Stauch trial, it was all in support of the prosecution, but rightfully so. A lot of people were bashing the defense in that trial ( same as the Wade Wilson trial ) physically, as well as professionally. I’m also aware of innocent until proven guilty with all Americans allowed to have a right to counsel, either by choice or appointed, and a fair trial. I know any defense team still has a job despite who their defendant is. This case seems quite opposite, and I’m trying to stay open minded, so Im wondering if most people know more about this case ( I know absolutely nothing and prefer trials like that so I can see where my heart lies based on the evidence as if I was a juror) and therefore explains the trolling on the judge and the responding officers. It’s just too soon for me to tell but I wanted to remark it now and continue to put my thoughts down in the comments, as I go through the days of this trial.
