Homeowner should have replaced the entire garage floor. Could have stored all that stuff in the house or rented a storage bin and did everything in stages.
I was thinking the same thing. That’s about another 2 yards maybe of concrete? Instead you have a cold joint and patching of the old concrete that won’t last long.
Maybe the epoxy coating will make work

I've learned a lot from watching your videos. I'm in residential construction and have completed my first solo slab pour recently with a better understanding of concrete finishing that I've learned from your videos. My set of tools, like what I saw in the Dewalt set, was accumulated over time and is incomplete. That set would improve my productivity on site and reduce frustration.

I would like the 184 piece tool set. I'd like to give it to my son in law, who had his tools stolen as well.....
The house I am in here in Tampa Bay, was built in 1988' and it also has a 3/4" or maybe a bit more, drop from the garage and shop floor, but here they put it inside the door frame so that the door drops into that lower area to help keep the door from blowing in during big storms and hurricanes... It works very well at keeping out water and I have watched the door get pressed to that ledge in very high winds.... Might be something to think about when doing new builds out there too!!!
