    Your hair is gorgeous. The fact that you work in a salon and aren’t sponsored has me running to buy this product. I struggle with weak fine hair prone to fall out. You sold me

      Thank you so much! 🥰 My hair has definitely been a journey but I’m finally at a place where it’s healthy again. I feel like hair products, like skincare is trial and error. You have to find what works well for you.
      Sponsored or not I will never promote products I don’t use or don’t believe in. It’s not right. I love to share brands/ products I love. I always try and give different options or recommendations to cater to everyone.
      I’ve honestly noticed a difference in my hair since incorporating Alchemy into my hair are routine. I’ve seen less hair fall out in the shower, and less hair in my brush. My hair feels better.
      If you’re hair is weak and fine you would really benefit from this line. It’ll help to strengthen your hair. If you try the serum I would rough dry your hair with a blow dryer. I’m not sure what your hair would feel like if you let it hair dry. Sometimes when a product mixes with heat it “absorbs” better. If that makes sense.

    Really wanting to try this since I have fine, wavy 2c hair that has some spiral curls that are easily weighed down but also dry and has a tendency to be fluffy. It’s difficult to find a good balance since I need a shampoo that’s clarifying for body and removing oil (I have an oily scalp that gets itchy if not properly cleansed), but also a conditioner that’s very conditioning and offer a lot of slip without leaving a lot a residue that builds up over time. I also am planning to color my hair for the first time… I wish they had samples. Before this video I was looking at gold lust line, now I’m thinking I’d start out with small gold lust after coloring, then switch to alchemy. The only Oribe product I used before was a single time at a a salon locally (no one near me carries Oribe anymore), was the curl Creme and I loved it. I’m worried the curl line’s other products would be too heavy for me, and most of Oribe’s shampoos would not be cleansing enough for me. PS: I’m also vegan so I’m not using products with milk proteins, silk, pearl powder or keratin added.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The curl line might be heavy for you. I’d also probably skip Gold Lust. Gold Lust can be really heavy especially if your hair isn’t super damaged and in need of all that protein. Gold Lust is even too heavy for my hair. I’d say try Alchemy. Everyone I know (including myself) loves the line!

    I used all oribe products. I love the hair golden oil, the damage drops , the pink clarifying shampoo, the green curl moisture mask which is amazing my husband has converted to the green curl line (his hair was a nightmare) now it’s fabulous. And now this resilience shampoo. For me these products are the best for my hair routine (my hair us oily itchy scalp + dyed dry brittle hair. These products in combination gave me salon hair.

    Hi! Loved your video-so many choices with Oribe, so curious what you’d think would be best for my hair type? It’s highlighted (bleached), fine/medium texture but LOTS of it, low porosity, normal/oily roots, very dry ends. It does not grow past a certain point, and I’d love to grow it longer. It also tends to be very dull, with zero shine, which is why I considered the Brilliance and Shine line. So, between Brilliance and Shine, Gold Lust, and Alchemy, which would be best suited for me? Or would it be best to mix and match different products from different lines? I would like the shampoo to clean really well, as I only like to shampoo once every few days…as infrequently as possible, haha. Thanks so much! Hope you can help! Or if anyone else has hair like me and wants to chime in!

    I’ve been thinking about trying this brand but honestly got so tired of wasting money on expensive professional hair care products and seeing no change in my hair. I’m 57 with very fine, wavy/curly, foiled hair. I don’t think it’s necessarily damaged or if it’s just fine menopausal hair. I’m hesitant to try gold dust because my hair felt/looked worse with Olaplex which is protein based too, correct? I very rarely use hot tools on my hair because the ends are so fragile so still wondering which one I should try 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally get it!! It’s an investment! What I always tell people is buy the travel size first to see if you like it. Gold lust will be too heavy for your hair. That’s for hair that is severely damaged. If your hair doesn’t need a lot of protein it’ll make your hair feel dry. Olaplex is designed to “fix” damaged bonds in the hair.. but it’s more like a band aid. I personally don’t like Olaplex. I think K18 is WAY better bc it ACTUALLY repairs the hair. It penetrates on a much deeper level and you’ll feel results after 1 use.
      Here are some brands/ lines that I would recommend for your hair type:
      Oribe- Alchemy line
      Kevin Murphy- Plumping Wash and Rinse (this line will help grow the hair)
      Kerastase- Densifique (this line is for finer hair and all the products will help to swell the hair shaft. This will make your hair feel thicker)
      I hope this helps! 🩷

    I have curly hair and I am repairing it from heat as well as using bad products. I want to moisturize it and grow it longer do you recommend this for me?
    I also recently purchased the Intense moisture leave in conditioner conditioner mousse and gelle and styling butter.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi! It depends how damaged your hair is. I would say if it’s really damaged, go with the gold list shampoo, if it’s more dry and dehydrated the m&c conditioner will help a lot!
      If you’re wanting more moisture then I would say go with the moisture and control shampoo (especially if your hair is course or textured).
      However, the Alchemy is amazing! It’s designed to create a barrier around the hair to help strengthen your hair. So with that, it’s not designed to repair or moisturize the hair. So yes, it would work well for your hair but it really depends on what your main “want” is for your hair… moisture, repair, or to strengthen it.
      You could always alternate your shampoos too. I always keep 2-3 shampoos and conditioners in my shower and use a different one every time I wash my hair. I like to cater my hair products to what my hair needs and how I’m going to style it after.

    I have been using this line for maybe a week or two, and my hair feels really dry and gets more tangled easily. I have fine hair that is bleached nearly white from a natural level 4-5. I never blow dry and I never use styling or heat products, I just let it air dry after washing. I do go to bed with damp hair, but I sleep on a silk pillowcase. I am wondering if a different Oribe line might work better for me, like Moisture & Control, Brilliance & Shine, or Gold Lust?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say if you’re wanting moisture try the moisture and control shampoo or conditioner. Because your hair is fine, it might be too heavy if you use both.
      If your hair tangles easy I’m wondering if the Run Through shampoo (which is designed for fine hair that tangles easily) and the moisture conditioner might be a good match.
      When your hair is towel dried, I would definitely be putting in a product like a leave in conditioner or serum or something. It’ll help keep your hair hydrated and more manageable. I also wouldn’t go to bed with damp hair. I would blow dry your hair or let your hair 100% dry before going to bed.
      For me, it’s all about finding the right combination and it’s definitely a trial and error situation. I love mixing and matching shampoos and conditioners. I usually don’t use the matching set unless I’m specifically testing them out. It all depends on what my hair needs and how I’m styling it.

    i only use and obsessed with oribe! i have liked the beautiful color shampoo and brilliant shine shampoo. my hair is blonde, damaged, color treated, has had a lot of breakage. it’s actually just shedding a lot. i’ve never been a big shedder. my roots can get oily but bc my hair is naturally wavy/loose curls it is drier. i love love love the gold lust conditioner. wondering how this compares. i do know olaplex and high protein products backfire and really dry out my hair. i used a sample packet of all 3 of the alchemy products and it felt heavy. would love to know if you’d recommend this shampoo or conditioner more. if i love gold lust conditioner, should i use this shampoo or do you really recommend this conditioner. the gold lust is light in my hair and makes my highlights so shiny. but i think after watching your video- since mine is already damaged, i’m thinking i should stick to the gold lust conditioner for sure. my biggest issue is the excessive shedding! it’s been the past year or two and it’s definitely in part anemia and hormones but i don’t know of you have any life saving product you’d recommend with this issue. thanks! ❤️💗

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi pretty!! It’s interesting that you find the alchemy heavier than gold Lust because gold Lust is their heaviest, most concentrated line. I love the alchemy more than gold Lust. For me personally, if I use gold Lust too much it actually dries my hair out because it’s too much protein. If your hair felt heavy after using the 3 alchemy packets… I’m wondering if you used too much serum? I used too much of the serum the first time and my hair felt so heavy and greasy. For my hair, I only need about a pea size amount because as you rub your hands together it does liquify (or spread out) a lot. Maybe try just the shampoo and conditioner one time (and don’t use the serum). See if that makes a difference.
      It’s tough to answer your question regarding hair fall out because hormones can play such a huge role in that and sometimes no matter what hair products you use you won’t see a difference. That’s something where you would need to see a doctor to get your hormone levels back to normal to see a difference in your hair.
      If we’re just talking about damage then I would say go with gold lust because if your hair is severely damaged the gold Lust will help to repair your hair with the proteins. If your hair is dry or normal than I would say alchemy because that is going to strengthen your hair and protect it from damage. You could even try some thing like the alchemy shampoo paired with the gold Lust conditioner so that way you have the benefits of both. Or use the gold Lust shampoo and conditioner and the alchemy serum.
      Hope that helps! 💗

    Does the scent linger in your hair? I love products that leave a lasting smell in my hair. If the smell is lighter I’m curious if it does last. Also would you say all these products are good for fine hair or do these products leave the hair flat and smooth? I like to keep a little frizz for texture and volume even though that sounds crazy! 😜

      I used to work in a salon that carried these products years ago. I remember not loving them when we first got the line, feeling like the products weren’t conditioning enough, I was always reaching for the signature moisture mask to use on clients because that was the only thing that would deeply condition and get rid of tangles even on fine hair! Flash forward many years and I started trying them again even though I work at a different salon and no longer have access to these products wholesale. I could tell everything had been reformulated and all the products seemed to make the fair condensed and flat. The gold lust line was SO light weight when it first launched and now it’s so heavy. I remember never being able to use that on coarse textures, I only used it on fine textures, now it’s the opposite!

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As for scent…. I honestly can’t say only because the first few times I ever used Oribe I remember smelling the scent all day. But now that I’m smelling these products all day in the salon I really don’t notice it anymore. So when I use it, I only smell it when I first apply it but once I blow dry and style my hair I don’t notice it anymore. But like I said, I smell these products for 8 hours a day so I’m used to it.
      I know a few girls in my salon have thin hair and they’ve been loving it. None of them have mentioned that it made their hair flat. Even when I air dry my hair I still see my wave/ curl so it’s definitely not smoothing.

      It’s so crazy to see a brand completely grow and change over the years. I remember years ago trying it for the first time and not loving it either. Then about 6 years ago I tried it again and fell in love with it! She used the Supershine cream on me and from that point on I was hooked.
      If you haven’t seen, they launched a new shampoo called Run Through that helps get rid of tangles and it’s amazing! I use it on my daughters hair and it adds just enough slip for the knots to fall out but doesn’t weigh the hair down.

I had black box dye hair for 5 years and just recently used bleach for the first time, going 5 shades lighter. My strands feel weaker, dryer, and have more split ends :/ I’m trying to grow out again and maintain my color so I don’t keep dyeing it. What would you recommend for shampoo and conditioner out of those lines?

      Hi love! I would definitely say the Alchemy because it’s going to strengthen the hair. Another product you may want to incorporate your routine would be the K18 mask. It’ll help repair the bonds in your hair.

      One last thing: I currently have K18, which can sometimes make my hair feel heavy-although maybe not as much now since I bleached it. Do you think I should try the “ORIBE Split End Seal Beautiful Color Hair Treatment,” or should I stick with K18?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course!! For the K18 mask.. make sure you aren’t using any conditioner after you shampoo. Try using less.. maybe start with 1/2 a pump.
      To be honest I don’t like the Oribe split end seal 🙈 only because it’s a cream and after putting all my styling products in, it can make my hair feel heavy. If you have thick hair you would probably like it. I actually use the Kerastase nutritive split end seal and love it bc it’s an oil but a very light oil and absorbs into the hair so there’s no residue left behind.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly I’d say kerastase bc in almost every line they have a formula for thin hair and thick hair. They also have a few lines that cater towards thinning/ finer hair like Genesis and Densifique. I have a few videos on the lines if you want to learn more. Sometimes Oribe can be heavy for those with finer hair.

    Hello! Just found your channel. I have super dark brown hair and been bleaching platinum at a salon for about 2 years already. About 5 maybe 6 months ago I noticed breakage on once side in the front. Then just 3 months ago breakage at the crown area. Is this a good line to use? Or should I try the Gold Lust first?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I’m sorry to hear about your breakage situation. That’s the worst! So if you want to repair the hair go with Gold Lust. If you’re wanting to strengthen your hair go with Alchemy. If your hair is severely damaged I would go with gold Lust.
      If I were in your situation I would probably grab the Alchemy Shampoo, Gold Lust conditioner and K18. The k18 will repair your hair on a much deeper level that Gold Lust or Olaplex. With k18, you don’t use it every time you wash your hair (I made a whole video on it if you want to see exactly how to use it) so that’s why I would go with the gold Lust conditioner for in between. Hope this helps! 💗

    I love your hair! I am currently using Oribe moisture & control line and I love it, I have tried the Gold lust but the high protein makes my hair dry and more brittle. Will this possibly do the same thing? Thank you :-)

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you so much! I love the M&C line! It’s been one of my favorite Oribe lines. So the reason the Gold Lust makes your hair feel dry is probably because you don’t need that intense repair. Gold Lust is heavier and richer in protein for those who have fried or damaged hair. If your hair doesn’t need intense repairing like that it can make your hair feel dry. I get that same feeling if I use Gold Lust.
      As for Alchemy, I haven’t had that dry feeling at all! The 3 products are lighter in weight that the other lines (especially M&C). If you feel like the conditioner is too light for your hair you can use the Alchemy shampoo and the M&C conditioner.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thank you so much for watching!! 🙏🏼💗 So there’s a few different ways to go about this… if you want to try and minimize your oil production, try stretching your hair wash schedule to every other day. Over time your body will adjust your levels and it won’t produce as much oil. You can train your scalp. OR… if you feel like your hair is greasy due to build up or clogged follicles, try incorporating a clarifying shampoo 1-2x a week and then adjust as needed.
      As for shampoos, if you have finer hair or don’t want anything heavy, I would suggest the Alchemy or the Run through shampoo. They are both lighter in weigh than the others. I’ve been usually the Alchemy since I received it and really love it! I use the Run Through on my daughters hair for her tangles and it works so well. If you want just a simple everyday shampoo the Signature (black bottle) would be a good option.
      I would definitely stay away from gold last, moisture in control and brilliant and shine. Those are going to be heavier and may weigh your hair down or make it more greasy.
      Hope this helps! But if you have anymore question or have questions about anymore products feel free to ask! 💗

      I have curly (2C/3A) normal to thick hair that goes down to about my boobs. It can get frizzy and dry. I do get my hair colored from time to time (highlights, toner/glaze for touch ups). I use hot tools every time I style my hair whether it is to diffuse when I am wearing it curly or using a hair dryer to blow dry it straight. I do get split or dry ends but I try to keep up with my hair cuts to prevent that. Do you need to know anything else? Thanks for your help! ☺️

    • @erikam.823
      @erikam.823 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do want to say that since I use a hair mask every time I wash my hair (once a week), my hair does seem to be soft and moisturized. However, of course by the time it is hair wash day, my hair can seem dry and frizzy.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So it sounds like your hair isn’t overly damaged. I would say go with the Alchemy. It’s going to be lighter in weight than the gold Lust. The gold lust is very rich in protein because it’s designed to repair hair that is fried and in need of extra keratin/protein. Sometimes if you use the gold lust and your hair doesn’t need that much protein it can actually make your hair feel dry or heavy.
      The reason I would suggest Alchemy is because it’s going to add that protective layer around each hair strand to prevent breakage or damage when styling or using hot tools. Curly hair is naturally drier than other hair textures so if you need an extra boost of hydration, I would do the Alchemy shampoo and the Moisture and Control intense conditioner.
      If you have any more questions feel free to let me know! I’m always here to help as best as I can. 💗

    Hello Jenifer, I really love your video it's my 1st time to know about this product line. I have thin, fine hair and it's shedding a lot, I'm experiencing hair loss, and I'm wondering if you advise me to use KM plumping alternative with ALchemy or the volumizing Oribe product line?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! There’s so many reasons hair loss happens. If it’s due to damage, I would alternate between the KM plumping and Alchemy line. If your hair loss is due to another factor like medication or a medical condition you will want to talk to your doctor.
      I personally alternate between the KM plumping and Alchemy. The KM plumping helps to regrow hair while the alchemy helps to strengthen your hair. So I like that combo because as new growth comes in, I want to make sure it stays protected and gets stronger since it’s so fragile.

      @@JeniferLarson Thanks for the quick reply, Actually I went to the doctor and have nothing, so I'll try what you said, but what if I need more volume as well due to the fine and thin hair as mine, what's your recommendation?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perfect! If you want volume I would choose a styling product over shampoo and conditioner. My 2 favorites are Volumista (a volumizing spray) and Grandiose Mousse (this is if you want a lot of volume and you want it to last a couple days). If I had to choose one, I’d go with Grandiose but I use them interchangeably. Sometimes I like to layer them for extra height when I’m doing a blowout 😂.

Ok we get it purple for shine, green for curl, red for good color but what about the others ? I have scrubbed through Reddit and TH-cam and tik tok not much info on them , or how the other serumes are used . They say white silver shampoo is for blondes (platinum)but they say the pink (platinum)line is for blondes too . The only thing I found useful besides your video was a comment on another TH-cam video I will send it on insta if you want,,,,, but like costumers really get confused on what serum is for what and what masque is for what . If you make a video or a series explaining each line and the products they have you are Golden ❤️❤️❤️

    It would be great if they use different scents on all products. Their iconic scent is quite boring actually. At least I do not like it. The scent of the green shampoo is better (citrusy) and the best scent they have imo is the one on the split end seal serum (the red one) - its scent is simply amazing. Pity that the same scent is not felt on the color hair conditioner - disappointment to me since they are of the same series (the red one).

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  ปีที่แล้ว

      I know the reason the reason all their products smell the same is so it’s universal. You don’t have one product that smells like mint and another that smells like coconuts. But if you don’t like their scent then it makes you not want to use any of their products.
      Some of their products will smell slightly different depending on ingredients. I personally don’t smell the scent much anymore and i think it’s because I’ve used them for so long.

I have the probe color line but now I’m debating on gold lust or alchemy it sounds like you recommend gold lust but what about on wet hair is the alchemy serum maybe mixed with gold lust power drops a good option?

      Additionally thinking about buying the k18 product too

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First off… I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve been in your shoes and it’s long journey to repair the damage.
      To help you with your products here are some options… but first… when your hair is wet take a small strand and try and stretch it if it stretches like a rubber band then I would go with gold last because your hair is severely damaged. If it doesn’t really stretch, then I would go with alchemy. It all depends on the condition of your hair. As far as styling products, it really depends on how thick your hair is… If it’s on the thicker side, the alchemy serum and the gold lust power drops is definitely a great option however if your hair is fine or now finer because it’s so damaged you may want to just start with the alchemy serum to help strengthen it.
      Once you do the strand test if your hair isn’t that stretchy then you could do the alchemist shampoo conditioner and you could do the alchemy serum with the gold lust drops.
      I would say whatever you choose keep it simple. If your hair is already stressed, you don’t want to stress it out even more. A good hair vitamin will help as well.
      Also keep up with the haircuts… I know cutting your hair is the last thing on your list but remember you can’t repair split ends so keeping up with trims will help too.
      If your hair is severely damaged I would also incorporate a good leave in conditioner once to twice a week.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m obsessed with K18! I love it and use it all the time. I definitely recommend it especially over Olaplex. I personally don’t like the Olaplex products. With K18 you’ll use it the first 4-6 times that you wash your hair and then after that it’s once a month or so. So you’ll still need a Conditioner in between.

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would almost say since your hair is so damaged maybe start out with K 18 as your conditioner because it will repair on a much deeper level. And then after that use the alchemy conditioner to start strengthen your hair back up. I’m thinking if you use k18 with the gold lust conditioner it may get a little heavy depending on your hair type.
