The thing is it’s actually taller than Big Dipper, its location goes against it because everyone assume it’s a kids ride. It never had this problem before Nickelodeon Land was there.
Comfortable and pleasant to ride in a way that doesn't befit a Woodie at all, especially not one of this age. Has really grown on me and I happily take it over the Big Dipper. Agree that the Nickelodeon branding does it a disservice as it's definitely a 'fun for all ages' experience.
Just addition to my previous comment, feels like it’s a mission to get to the station. Down a few tunnels. Love the silver panels. And I mean the Orange paint job is just lush. Makes it look brand new. I want the Dipper to get a nice white finish. Probably not financially worth it though.
Honestly Blackpool is my favourite place in England with the rides I went on the front seat didn’t scream at all I’m sure when I got of the big one I seen a clogger but I didn’t know who but I miss Blackpool went 2 weeks ago it was amazing
At 40 seconds in june 82 was on that ride and it stopped....was 9 and thought it was part of the ride..my elder sis was 17 was screaming..all the time i thought wow...we then walked back down as i looked so many people were watching...hand rail and steep cecline..today wud have passed out.......went back later when it re opened...
I wonder where the vintage velvet coaster car is these days that they used to have on display in the station? Fab video, really enjoy the airtime hills on the return leg.
Rlly scary I've only rode blue flyer steeplechase and this so im still getting over my fear of rollercoasters. I do admit is it rlly a kids ride I've heard it's taller than big dipper so this ride might be 4th scariest after big one, Icon and infusion. It kills ur stomach, I tryed to scream but couldn't. 9/10 would ride again but the start is just rough but the airtime and drops make up for it.
Ive ridden all of them and i would say : Blue Flyer, Steeplechase, Nickelodeon Streak, Avalanche, Big Dipper, Icon, Grand National, Big One, Revolution, Infusion
Hi guys, just a quick question. I'm taking my 71 year old father to the pleasure beach Saturday (weather permitting) would you recommend somewhere comfortable for him to sit and wait for me whilst I'm queuing for some of the bigger rides he cannot do. Somewhere with maybe afew old photos of the park so he can remenisce 😃 thankyou
I love this ride. Do we know why the pleasurebeach no longer run a 2 train service on it? I think the queue would be a lot quicker on peak days if they had a second train for it.
@@yourexperienceguide thank you: I thought so, it’s such a shame, you would think the pleasurebeach could afford to make a second train for it and have both running at once. -it’s not that hard to have one train fill up and a second train running the course.
Went to BPB for the first time last week. Only rode this once as it was soooo rough and uncomfortable. Had to do two rides on Grand National and really hurt my neck on the second ride. Big Dipper, though, I thought was excellent. A bit too raucous on the back row, but second row from the back was superb. Re-rode several times.
It has to be considered that all three of those coasters were built before the second world war so they're not going to be smooth. Nickelodeon Streak is probably the smoothest, never had a rough ride on it, would love to see the Grand National retracked for 2022.
@@yourexperienceguide Oh of course I expected the woodies to be rough. I'm just surprised that people often say that Streak is smooth and Big Dipper is rough, when my experience was the exact opposite! Grand National can get RMC'd for all I care 😅
i miss the days of riding this when you could have a bench to yourself and there was no restraints. it's still a ride we dont miss out on a trip to beach, and it's great that it still pulls in the riders for a full train.
For years I dismissed it as "just a kid's ride" but it's actually rather fun to ride in a nostalgia kinda way.
The thing is it’s actually taller than Big Dipper, its location goes against it because everyone assume it’s a kids ride. It never had this problem before Nickelodeon Land was there.
It's defo underrated rollercoaster and my step daughter got addicted to it after the 1st ride then so did I lol its a really good rollercoaster
My tummy went crazy on that ride!
i felt like i would throw up i swear

Most people don't know this but it is taller than the Big Dipper! My third favourite wooden coaster at BPB but it's easily the smoothest.
@@yourexperienceguideby 1 foot im pretty sure though ill check but im pretty sure it goes 2-3 mph faster than big dipper as well
Great video as ever .
Clearly showing why this classic Coaster is so well liked.
Thanks Stu, Chris did the camera rigging so credit where its due there 😁
love this ride!
It’s a classic 🎢
does it have loops and go high?
@@idk-ln3nt no, there's only like 8 drops iirc and that's it
Probably the least violent of the woodies at PB
It’s a very smooth coaster
Yeah, Blue Flyer is the most intense in the park, nothing could top it
@@MalrusOSC bet
@@MalrusOSCngl i didn’t enjoy blue flyer since it was a pretty short ride
Went on this ride last year on a school trip
the safety was loose and i was clinging on for dear life during airtime 😭
Went on this ride with my sister yesterday, and it was rlly fun ngl especially the drops
Excellent pov this is such an amazing coaster.
Thanks!
Thank you, we worked with PBE to do this POV.

It was a lot easier to get to it before Nickelodeon Land was a thing at Pleasure Beach.
Smooth as butter 🧈 😉🧱👍🏽

good coaster, has some good airtime
Almost graceful! Great video, pal!
Thank you 🎢
its actually a decent family coaster!!!!
One of the best family coasters in the UK
wish there was a bit of theming though, just not painting it bright orange
@@rhinogamer7564 Amusement parks don’t need theming
I WAITED FOR AGES TO GO ON THIS RIDE! 😡
Lovely coaster 👍👋👋👋👋
A smooth classic for sure
My first roller coaster ride! Now I love them❤
Cool this was my 2nd , trust me its like Ur stomach leaves Ur body when u go down but it's a good ride 😉

This coaster looks tame but oh boy it kills your stomach - those drops are steep. I was hunched over the whole time. It goes up and down so many times
Fun coaster packed with airtime
Classic woodie...great pov ✌️
Thank you 🎢
So smooth. Yes its not as thrilling as the other woodies but its not painful at least.
It has excellent airtime moments
@@yourexperienceguide Yeah it does to be fair.

Am the same as you
Edit: I've ridden every ride in the park except revolution. Big one and Icon were my favourite coasters
I didn’t know it was gonna be big when I went on it , I only thought it was 1 drop and that’s it 🤣
Thank you for watching and commenting
Me too 🤣 I went on with my 8 year old and she loved it. I'm sticking to the Blue flyer next time. This is my limit for roller coasters lol
What was the space in the station used for in the past? It looks as if there are two other tracks in there.
Other trains mostly

He may enjoy having some laps around the Pleasure Beach Express
Love that the color of the coaster was orange. Blackpool Football Club ???
To fit in with Nickelodeon Land

It hasn't run on a two train service since around 2007 sadly

i was about to go on this but i went on the big one instead because he queue was too long
I always find that nickelodeon streak has the longest queue even though its not the best ride at the park 🤷♂️
Always best to do it first before it gets a big queue
I swear the drops aren’t that small when I went on it it felt massive
Same
Does it ever run on 2 trains?
Not since 2006
Good ride only thing I would change is having 2 trains on
Unfortunately if that was going to happen, it’d have happened in 2011.
@@yourexperienceguide it's a shame. Que times are too long for the ride. It is either get on it first thing or dont go on.
@@PlanetDragon Just do it first thing it’s usually walk on for the first hour
i went on this 3 days ago and it was so rough... normally its so smooth
There’s absolutely nothing rough about it 😆
Probably needs stronger seat bars when was going on the bumps my bum kept lifting out as if I’m gonna fall
That’s very normal on a wooden coaster, it’s airtime

It’s a 100 times better now, the trains with no restraints were nicknamed Roller Sofa because it was smooth without any thrill.
Went on this as my first roller-coaster yesterday. Horrifying and I was fearing for my life. Don't recommend
Perfectly safe
Belter footage as always
Thanks!
Thank you!
