Nice review John, gotta love a Case barlow. I have several, my favorite is a 4 incher from Standard Knife Co. in natural bone with a spearpoint blade and heritage jigging.

Been wanting to ask when covers are made of bone, what critter is it from? I know there's a lot of camel bone used, but wasn't sure if all are.
Hi Stacey, most is used from deceased cows and often from chin bone specifically.

I have a Barlow pocket knife, that says on the large blade that it was made in Ireland....is this the same as the Case- Barlow?

I’m curious what the deal is with spun pins. Why are those sometimes used in place of normal pins?
They're often used at the center pin where the back spring begins flexing to make it more durable.

Newer Case knives are basically JUNK... Yeah, some are better than others but the majority are crap.. The greatest knife company ever has crashed and burned.
