Brilliant! I have always loved this song, but I never dared tackle it before. Now I feel confident that I can sing this song with feeling and with proper technique. I realize it won’t come quickly, but at least I now have a roadmap to proceed. Thank you so much, I am looking forward to working on this beautiful piece.
Just thought I’d give you a little update. I am having a marvelous time working on this song. I had to drop it a half step for now and that seems to have done the trick for me. I’ve sung it enough times now along with you that today I took off on my own and let my own personal style take over. Given the current status of my voice, which is still in the process of recovering and developing, I am interpreting this song in a soft and tender style. At least this is what speaking to me right now and it feels right I have a lot of technical work to do but I’m finding the soul of the song and it’s resonating with me. I just have to be patient and persistent. This is turning out to be a marvelous project.
I really love that you see your singing as a journey! It can feel like a battle sometimes, but if we remind ourselves that's there's always something to stop and explore by the wayside, that can help us to keep moving forward and not get "stuck" or bogged down. It's a beautiful song, and if you feel that there is an emotional connection, your voice will respond. Keep me posted! 😁🎶
