After watching you for a few years and wanting a horse so badly, we FINALLY BOUGHT ONE!!!! im so excited!!! We bought a 17.2hh 11 year old belguim morgan cross, we affectionately, call Rolly (Cinna Roll) as he is soft and squishy and sweet!!!!

Why not put a grazing muzzle on Chino that way he can go out with everyone else
Even with a grazing muzzle he will be able to eat grass.

He will be okay with a muzzle for a short period of time! ☺️ obviously you’d have to start off very small like 20m for example!
You should turn that little run in into wash rack thing and put mats down and make it into a place you can tie and wash horses!!

That small amount of grass in chinos paddock will be fine for him to eat, I have laminitis prone/metabolic horses, they still get grass, put them out at night when the sugars are lower if you want to be safe.
So just curious will chino ever be able to eat grass again?

My horses are never stalled they have run in sheds. They choose where they want to be. My vet as of many will tell you horses are meant to move. Stalls are a human thing not a horse thing. I love your way of thinking. So will your horses.

I agree! Even our horses that prefer being in out of the elements still feel happier when they can be with the herd not locked away.
The walls in the barns need drywall on them as they have been insulated,it would just finish everything off nicely.

You guys have done such a great job with the barn, I love the stalls. You must all be exhausted and excited to get it all done you’ve all been working non stop to get it ready for the horses to come home. The horses are going to love it! We are physically exhausted! It's so much more work than I've shown! Yesterday, we worked the entire day through with hardly any breaks, but it's enjoyable work and so worth it! I will miss the work when it's all.done!

Give the goats a couple days to settle in. Just sit in the field with em. Let them come to you instead of trying to hold em all the time. Itll work out better. Give treats. I know you wanna love all over em. But its what they want that matters.

you should make the little room that you dont know what to do with a wash bay the water is right there and the water can run out the side and you can set all the loshens and poshens your new barn is amazing i hope it wearks out for you
Ya! We could build a shelf out here or put a hook! The hay on the ground sticks to anything wet though! I think we will try it and see!
I wouldn’t put collars on goats! I know of many that have hung themselves and died that way because goats love climbing stuff. It was on a stall door that it happened

@@sandyc6569 my daddy had a Billy that was ornery, too. He butted daddy in the leg & cut it. Daddy knocked him up side the head with a heavy metal bucket he was carrying. That goat fell down in a daze! 🤣 He never butted daddy again. Daddy didn't tolerate that kind of thing.
Lol. Today! Today, it will be a horse farm!!! Tilly birthed no name, and mocha birthed rocky and blossom. I am actually considering Rosie. It's my first choice at the moment. I have to call Rosie for a while and see if it sticks.

To get the goats to be social just sit down, sit down in the ere pen at there level on the ground and don’t move if the goat comes up to u don’t move till the goat is comfortable with your presence, (coming from a girl who raises goats and have made them super social little loves and they are all leash trained)
Thats what we do! 24 hours made a huge difference! They constantly run to us now!

You could name one of the girl goats Dolly and the boy you could name rusty boss or George. I can’t think of very good names just so ideas but Dolly is really cute. Chino should be ok if willow doesn’t eat ever bit of grass and if you keep hay thrown then he won’t care for it as much it’s like a treat. Tractor supply has so feed buckets that have two pans that you can separate the loose minerals in and your baking soda.

I work at a barn while Im finishing my schooling. I take care of three goats and man are they stinkers!! I call goat poops, the devils raisins 😂 or forbidden jelly beans!!

@@DayByDayVlogs yes! the inside of each stall was corresponding for each horse, it was like that at my old farm and we all loved it, especially with the nameplates 😊😊

Hi Laura have you ever thought wash all horses blanket ready for winter come!
I hate washing them because it takes of the water repellant and then thry have to be sprayed agsin and often thr spray doesn't work as well. I may try I this year though!
Goats are very clean, our goat had a litter box that she used!
What did you put in the litter box and did you have to Train her?
Not sure how you feel about chemicals but you could spray the grass and weeds in Chino’s pasture with “Round-Up”. Than it’d kill the plants right down to the roots and be low maintenance overall.

Wow, that looks so good and perfect for the way your horses are kept, I'm happy chino can have the choice now, I think he'll like this set up. Love the goats and their area, having Ollie down there will be great for him, away from the dogs but still get human contact when you're down there. He'll also keep the rodent population down, in that barn while Ellie and humans keep them down in the other barn. Can't wait to see the horses home. You'll find out any bits that need changing as you go. You've all worked so hard to get it ready

Yes! That's exactly what I think, too! He seems a million percent happier down there without the threat of the dogs. He can have the company of the dogs, but they can't get to him! I think you're right about ellie! There isn't a mouse alive live that she couldn't find and catch!

It's not very big for chino and willows permanent paddock really u want at least an acre pre horse , pony
I know!!!! Once the rainy season comes, the horses will rip up the winter field. Once that happens, Chino will be reunited with the herd! Our plan is to have them all together again as soon as possible!

Ollie seems so much happier in the goat barn. We let him out of the tack room to roam around last night, and he didn't seem the least bit worried about the goats. That barn has the calmest feeling about it. It feels like you're away from the entire world, and it's so relaxing! Sophie and I both noticed a change in him! Oh the girls are helping! Trust me!

I wanted Finley so much! Especially after meeting an adorable little girl named Finley. Sophie said no way! It still hurt her to have lost fin!
One thing to think about if your planning on milking the females in the future, beings their smaller size, Sam could build as ppl raised platform with something to tether them to, for milking. It would save on your back etc. Just a idea for the future.

Those both look like pears.. not sure what the first one was but the second looks like a sugar pear.. they are not that great for just eating, they tend to be hard and kind of grainy but they make good preserves
