I tried to beat Terraria but I start with the zenith, there is a catch here, as many other videos make this challenge too easy, within this video the zenith starts with horrible stats and we have to upgrade it by using it making it more and more powerful over time, will I be able to make the zenith strong enough to take out the moonlord before he arrives, well let's find out !

I think it would have been more interesting if you had to add a new unique sword to the zenith in order to upgrade it. That way it's sort if like a homage to its Crafting recipe, which requires one of almost every sword.
Yeah but then that would be just like building the Zenith in vanilla, just in steps instead of waiting to craft it all at once

@@drakehood1582 With the way that the mod is currently it makes it less like just progressing through the game to make the zenith and more like an rpg of sorts where you have to grind a ton of enemies to get strong at first then the grinding starts to get easier and easier

Still easy to do if you think about it. Just count when the swing happens, count until 300, and then reset it to 0 while adding some numbers to the stats
That'd be cool if Vanilla Zenith could swap between it's constituent swords like how the Master Plan can switch between wires. It could have a similar menu so you could select individual swords and use their abilities, or use Zenith itself. Maybe if the individual swords that Zenith throws could use their own inate abilities, that'd also be cool.
Honestly, this, I wouldn't be against dmg nerfs if it meant that we could use different sword abilities

@@somerandomguy3768 Funny enough, that reminds me of an idea I had called the StarBurst, a slow moving cross between a short and broadsword that sends out a barrage of star shaped projectiles on each swing, with the number increasing if you charge your swing
That would be so cool, imagine how the star wrath x9 would work. 9000 stars falling down from heaven

just downloaded this mod. and realized that dummys actually count to the damage counter. so i got a bunch of dummys. increased my penetration and projectiles, AND I WAS FARMING THESE DAMAGE NUMBERS, F A S T.

I think you've used an older version of the mod, because it also has a fifth setting to level up for me, "Additional Projectiles".
You thought it couldn't get crazier anymore?

With enough Additional Projectiles, it eventually results in a giant blooming flower filling your screen - and the petals are made by swords.

I beat the game with this mod and in my opinion it makes the early game slightly more difficult but after you beat the eye of Cthulhu your zenith is so leveled up that it becomes a breeze

I remember seeing another challenge similar to this, but the sword would get leveled up by defeating bosses. So instead of using the actual sword, the just used other weapons, completely defeating the purpose of the challenge.

@@EpicCoolUsername That's only once you get the magic ball thingy, and you need a lot of ammo to craft it in the first place, so atleast pre-hardmode will be annoying.

You start with Zenith thats basically if Copper Shortsword was boomerang, because thats exactly what Zenith is. But as it gets upgraded to its peak it even surpasses the original Zenith giving the sense you have been rewarded
At some point, if you level up the number of projectiles for the zenith a lot, it will turn into an absolute death machine that murders anyone on screen.

It was really fun to play bro frfr
Welp I initially thought before watching this video that it would be very cool to start with Zenith and then collect chosen weapons or specific ores to merge/integrate to level the Zenith up.
It would make the progression very fun to explore (somewhat like Bosses progression line) and making it more Terraria like progression.
But hey, I don’t have any modding knowledge so… my idea seems complicated to do, but I think it’s not impossible.

This would make a nice concept of a sword in terraria. Swing the sword, make it stronger, faster, bigger, and make it look cooler.

Boio, in mod configuration, you can set the xp gain value for faster xp gain, you should do this for a less painful grind
Yeah, but that makes it too overpowered. If you could just get the upgrade instantly, you would beat everything no problem. Honestly, it should increase every time you beat a boss, but start out with a faster speed/more damage.
@@somenerd8139 Agreed with your suggetions, since mostly bosses have higher hp during terraria progression, and not too much damage or speed, just as fast as a rifle and hard hitting as a magnum in the start.
Is it just me or is the level up system not the best. Dosent everyone just swing the zenith even if there is no enemy? The zenith gives off light wich helps you look for stuff and terraria is all about looking for stuff.

I cleaned out my old Original X-Box One recently, and it still had terraria 1.5.6 on it. I decide to do another playthrough of it, and I defeated the WoF mainly because my crit chance was SO HIGH. It was like 15-18%. My Nights Edge was 21% critical strike chance.

What truly makes the zenith so great is the functionality. When used in calamity it may not be the most powerful option however it’s ease of use is unparalleled
With this mod, it will literally be the best weapon after a while, covers the entire screen, instantly and kills everything with one touch

IIRC, Calamity had to change where Zenith became available because it was way above everything else in terms of where it was in progression when Zenith was introduced.

Yess! It's not one of those video that they started with the normal zenith thinking it would be different or harder than normal.
It would have been cool if each stat had its own system. Damage levels by killing enemies, penetration levels by penetrating enemies, speed levels by swinging.

Zenith is the Terraria equivalent of Diamond Sword from Minecraft. Not combat-wise, but for how much people like to milk it to death.
Also this video's thumbnail taught me a valuable lesson of copper Shortsword dealing one damage and the Zenith dealing 9999 damage. Absolutely invaluable -and definitely not fake clickbait- info that I as a fellow Terraria Wiki person can wholeheartedly confirm 👍 Thanks for being such a perfect informative channel that makes Kurzgesagt look like nothing.

That's a weird name, 'cause I got a zenith thing that is pretty much the same, you make it with 10 stars, but it's called "Primary zenith" You can get it with the "Zenith progression" mod. also you can change what you're upgrading by right-clicking it in your inventory, and it doesn't use experience, it's the amount of damage dealt (defense subtraction not included). It gets pretty glitchy...

The Zenith being so strong in its concept, I really think it wouldn't be much of a challenge, even if you start with it dealing 1 damage every 3 seconds.
People who use the “fancy swing animations” mod remind me of people who would use one of those hyper realistic texture packs for minecraft

Oh the progression mod I used that during a calamity play through and realised I could just attack dummy’s and made it do negitive damage within like 20 minutes
Funfact: just like in most 3d games/pixel platformers the torso of terrarias character doesn't change in your screens position
