Why are you guys so entertaining? sitting here all day watching your play-throughs. Nothing got accomplished today. You guys are dangerous! lol Thank you for all your hard work and time invested in this channel. You guys are my FAVORITE to watch.
Me, having lived near Brussels four years: Ooh, I would love this! Me, after learning how the game is played: Yeah, I'd never get anybody to play this with me...
Very good presentation, playthrough and review ! Thank you! It increases my interest for the game, which was only based on theme and art. Now I know that the gameplay is also great.
Great video. We bought this after seeing your review and played our first game along side your play-through - you really make any game accessible and easy to understand - thank you!
I'm so glad to see you are big fans of the (base) game. I bought it a few months ago when they released the new version. The combination of mechanics seemed unique to me and the artwork and setting just really spoke to me (I live in Belgium and I like architecture). Sadly, I haven't been able to bring it to the table yet. Since it's such a dry Euro I think I need to play it with a specific group of friends. 😅 Anyway, thanks for another amazing video! Always a joy to watch you two play and review a boardgame.
Hi guys and thanks for the video! I've just played it and I don't know if you could help me. It was a 4 player game, in 12:38 you explain that the same player can repeat the action space even though they have to put 2 meeples. How does it work for 4 or 5 players? I know that the spaces cost 1 meeple for the 2 first players, but I don't know if I can go twice first with one meeple or if I can go first with one meeple and the third with two meeples repeating the action. Can I repeat the action in the two examples mentioned? Thanks for your help!
Wow this game looks brilliant! Right up my alley… The rules teach is gonna be something. You place workers to gain things to build stuff and earn points… but wait… there’s more!!!!
As a former Architect student from Brussels, I can’t wait to watch this! 😄. Were you able to visit any of Victor Horta’s buildings on your visit to brussels, or any other Art Nouveau buildings?
We definitely went to the Musical Instruments Museum which is in an Art Nouveau building! I don't think we got to see enough though. We'll have to visit some of Victor Horta's buildings next time. How was studying in Brussels?? That sounds so cool
@@BeforeYouPlay That’s a beautiful building! Studying in Brussels was definitely amazing, but since I only live half an hour from Brussels it doesn’t feel that special. One of the offices of my job where I can go work is located right in the center of Brussels though, and was originally a building designed by Victor Horta himself, with the original facade and groundfloor interior still intact, now that is cool! 😄
Coming late to the party, and not that it matters given the end score, but for the record at 1:16:30 Monique never received her 5 points for Naveen using her construction building spot.
Have you tried Bruxelles 1893? Let us know your thoughts about this game!
it's just awesome!

Mine too

HAHAHA!!!
I played it at SPIEL Essen 2023, and thought it was great! I bought my own copy directly from the designer himself without realising that until later.
Haha that's so cool!!
Thanks for the play through, you too! I do not think this is a game for my hubby although I suspect I would love it.

Yes! I’ve been waiting for someone to cover this version. Thanks guys!!

1:28:54 😂 Monique is so right with that definition. I like how this game is very confrontational. Was planning on getting this once available.
Perfect timing: I’ve preordered this few days ago ❤ Great job as usual, your content is top notch
Thank you so much!

One of my fav games!!!
Love this game - it has so many great choices, doesn’t overstay its welcome - awesome.
It's great, always nice to pull this one off the shelves after a little while.

would you review Age of Innovation? Capstone just released a reprint and release of them again
I got this game recently. Can't wait to play it!!
Highly recommend playing it with 3-4 players your first time 😊

I love your channel and your videos. Are you guys planning on doing another Top 50 of all time board games?

Guys, when are you going to upload your playthrough of Nucleum? I can't wait
Hopefully next week =)
After playing the card game version, I instantly ordered the new version of the original game.
We have the card game but haven't played a full game yet!
Said frustrating so many times in this review i'm pretty sure you deslike the game no matter what was said otherwise xD
You can definitely still enjoy something that is frustrating!
Oh man artwork of the game is so outdated 😀
How so? I find it quite beautiful. It certainly has a style one might attribute to games of old.
