I'm gonna pray The Board Gamers Prayer before watching this one: Dear Lord, Give me the serenity to enjoy the board games I can afford, the courage to resist fomo and not buys games I can't afford, and the wisdom to know the difference.
TCG/ccg wise Altered is really great. It’s a tug of war style game that does things so much different to other “gs” I highly recommend. This is coming from a person who has played magic, one piece and net runner. I prefer board games however.
I just liked this video at this very moment because of the Tower Tup joke. I'm not even sure I want to keep watching, because there's no way it can get any better.
Well, that's a different list. That would be our biggest disappointments. And I choose not to do that each year, because why focus on the negative? We already beat up the games in the review, why do it again at the end of the year?
Actually there is a movie named "Intent to Kill". It was released in 1992, starring former adult entertainment star Tracy Lords in her attempt to become an action star. It looks... disturbing.
Please, as there are many who cant go to other cons, please do this list before Pax Unplugged next year. To me this list is more important than top of the year.
I love how Zee is surprised he likes a game, Joyride, that is a very similar game to a game he has mentioned he likes... Powerboats. Of course you like it and it shouldn't be a huge surprise
It will be interesting to see how many heavier games end up on their "top games of 2024" list. This definitely felt like a, "We're surprised that lighter, smaller games could be good" list.
My son and I played it through about 20 times, with a week between the first 13 and the last 7. We have had a great many nailbiting endings. We personally love the game.
It's a great game. Both players need to be familiar with both roles so it is sort of a double teach. But game 3 or 4 and beyond (they're pretty quick games) are really good. The octopus really feels like you're hiding and dodging and playing mind games. The shark really feels like you're circling /putting pressure on your prey and the resource management with your dice and your upgrades are really tight.
This group of folks had me cracking up. I love it when the gang gets together
Always great to see Mike and the team! ❤️
Damn, what a stacked panel. The banter between these four is always top-notch.
I enjoyed Chris’s ProZD reference
Hiding my wallet before I watch this.
Bold strategy
Before I started watching DT over a decade ago= 1 hobby game. After DT = 200+ games
You and me both, sibling.
Hallelujah!!! These are the four!!!!!
Mike is the GOAT! Take that as you will lol
Love the “Dice Are Back in Town” intro song lol!
"Dairy dollars" is a very specific reference. I love it.
Yeah caught this and felt bad for Chris that his uncultured coworkers missed it 😂
Power Vacum lays next to Polish newspaper "Trybuna Ludu" from PRL period - period when Soviets had strong control over Poland
HITSTER is awesome and hilarious! Best $10 I have spent on games this year.
Just sitting here in rural Oklahoma and learning Tom hates me. Well, I think his glasses are stoopid! 😝

Give me the serenity to enjoy the games I hoard…
Explorers of Navoria is definitely one I’ll be checking out. Kelp is one I’ve been unsure about; but after watching this it may be added to the list.
Zee's "too long" comment was hilarious

Solstis was a surprise to me too. It's my most played game on BGA.
I'm very excited to get Survival of the Fattest to the table.
Biggest surprize for me was hearing Mike selling viking knives.
Glad Bomb Busters made the list!! 🎉
Primal is one I wish I could have gotten through kickstarter. I had backed it, but in the end had to pull out for financial reasons.
Having such a blast with RatJack right now !
Like for the Dairy Dollar reference
Surprised not to see BOG in either Tom's or Zee's list. Ribbit!
I've been looking for Spark Riders for awhile now.
Same
Tower up had a strong Presence at pax unplugged this past weekend
I just liked this video at this very moment because of the Tower Tup joke.
I'm not even sure I want to keep watching, because there's no way it can get any better.
Solstis is on its way to the UK :)
Happy to see spark riders 3000 made the list twice
Saw Tower Up being played a lot at PAX this weekend.
Mikes Steven segal joke was solid.
Hey! Any chance you have any idea where I can buy stickers? I can't seem to find it anywhere
Figures, the most intriguing game on this list, Ratjack, is not available anywhere that I can find. Thanks Mike😂
Anyone know when will Intent to kill be available in the U.S.?
It'll be Kickstarted in English, then probably go to retail, eventually. No dates yet.
Where can I buy Ratjack?
17:04 Those are polish newspapers.
Tom hates barns? Someone should tell his beard...
100% glass-half-full. Nothing surprised them by being much worse than they originally thought.

Are we gonna get any more D&D play content? I just realized we haven’t seen that in a while😢
Given his affinity for the Oniverse series, I’m surprised Zee didn’t mention the 2024 release of Urbion 2nd edition.
I don't think my Wife will want to play "Survival of the Fattest."
ratjack available in USA?
Interesting

Calling the Tower Up or Tower Tup comment a joke is awfuly generous.

I love getting excited about a game and then finding out it's unavailable in the U.S. right now (obvious sarcasm and disdain) i.e. Ratjack
Obligatory comment acknowledging Mike's Seinfeld reference/homage with his "Ooohh....there's bluffing" line.
I love how Zee is surprised he likes a game, Joyride, that is a very similar game to a game he has mentioned he likes... Powerboats. Of course you like it and it shouldn't be a huge surprise

Zero games on these lists intrigue me.
Yikes , tough crowd
Cool!
Perhaps they’ll surprise you.
@ very true. Always possible, but at first look, doubtful. I hate trick taking games so those are always out. I won’t even try them. 😄
@ which was the point of the joke, yes.
Still not understanding the Kelp hype. It's a 5/10 at best. Ending falls flat for everyone I've seen play it.
My son and I played it through about 20 times, with a week between the first 13 and the last 7. We have had a great many nailbiting endings. We personally love the game.

I'm not playing a game called fairy ring
okay
Your masculinity has been saved!
Come on this was actually funny. You made me laugh Keith.
Nothing special here. Just more of the same already been done games adding to the oversaturation of the hobby.
