@@peterimmington549 Totally agree with you Peter! 👏👏👏
Total Magic
was any solo singer ever lucky enough to have such brilliant backing musicians as the Shadows? Cliff and the Shadows, a marriage made in heaven
Yes, we agree Cliff and the Shads were a wonderful group but don't overlook the original combo which inspired Cliff and a thousand other groups; the one who started the rock revolution, namely, Elvis on rhythm guitar and vocals, Scotty Moore on lead, Bill Black on bass and DJFontana on skins....
Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps

😲 Cliff Richard the Elvis of the UK! He goes way back to the 1950's and he's been singing in to the 60's 70's 80's 90's 2000's 2010!
I'm not sure if he is still singing!
Sir Cliff will be touring in November 2023. The “Blue Sapphire Tour“ starts in London on Nov 7 and ends in Glasgow on Nov 17 (six dates).

Simple uncomplicated life with simple love song. Oh I missed those days
Mat Yus yeah
You're not the only one.
In fact quite unique arrangement for those days, bass line in unison at first, avoids 1st & 5ths, unusual evolved mix particular to The Shadows, some of their early unused examples on yt sound more like a garage band by comparison.
Mat Yus Me too and im 62 of age. I really miss this kinda music and my Cliff

They played this song at Battersea Fun Fair in the early 60s, and when I heard it I just screamed. (Well, we did scream during those early years!). Just love Cliff and all of his songs, especially his old songs. Have been a devoted fan since Living Doll.

מאוד אהבתי את כל השירים משנות השישים
Bravo super
Sir Cliff
The Brits had a head start on anyone else with a good clean sound production. You could hear every beat and string in proportion to the voice out front. Harmonies were always well arranged and reverb was used sparingly and subtley except for the Bigsby arm which Hank Marvin made into a trademark. The base came to life in pop music long before Paul McCartney.
Yes I think The Beatles listened good to them..when they were creating there own sound..
Cliff was a big influence on the British Invasion. He was our first rock n roller.
