They are gorgeous!!! However, Dragonflies don't have antennae!lol...it's a little thing, I know...but I would have to snap those off!! I hope to order at least one mold from Zuri next month...just don't know which one!!
Thanks! To be honest, I’m not entirely sure where they’re based. They sell in the US and in Europe, and they mention that they’re expanding into Canada and Australia soon, so they aren’t based in Canada. More than that 🤷♀️ I’m just thrilled they sell here in the US. I know folks in UK and Europe have a tougher time getting ahold of their molds.
I don't remember - I'm going to have to re-watch this (it's been awhile) and see what I was talking about. Then hopefully I can answer your question. Thanks!
@@Luxinda - hi Luxinda, I appreciate you getting back to me, it was about the fact that the mold is matte, you mentioned to make it shiny you can add a layer of resin, UV resin or you could burnish it - hopefully this helps and you won’t have to watch yourself 😀
@@janmcconnell2240 thank you for narrowing down the reference! I just found that part of the video, and I didn’t remember what I said about burnishing because what I actually said after epoxy or UV resin was, “you could just varnish over it”, but I said it so fast that it absolutely does sound like “burnish”. I’m really sorry for the confusion and speaking so unclearly in the video. I was thinking about any brush on or even spray on varnish that would give the pieces a glossy shine. Thank you!!
I have some matte molds and when I spray silicone mold release on them prior to pouring my resin, they have come out shinny. I'd heard that trick from another youtuber...I think it was Daniel Cooper, but I'm not sure. Either way, I've tried it and it does work...I haven't tried spraying the mold then dusting the mica powder yet, but that is something I plan to try next time I use my matte molds.
I actually went and tried it on some other molds and they didn't turn out as well...so it may depend on the type of silicone used to make the mold on whether it will work or not...still expiramenting.
@@kathymaxwell2048 very interesting!! I know the mica powders will stick to the mold better when mold release spray is used first, but I never thought the spray could make a matte mold turn out a shiny piece - that’s really cool!
Not really ... yet. I mean, I don’t think it’s necessary, but I am planning to use both the dragon and the city as focal pieces on other things, and once each project (like a box or a book, etc) is finished, I’ll seal the whole piece with some sort of varnish. But as is out of the mold, they don’t really need to be sealed unless you want to put a glossy finish on them. Hope that makes sense! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
I just ordered the Mercurial Beast & The Fire Breather, can’t wait to try them! I am hoping to brush the molds with chameleon powder, but won’t the release spray interfere?
Great choices!! I don’t think the spray release will cause any problems at all. I used some in a Zuri mold recently (the video isn’t up yet) then brushed different micas in, and the piece came out gorgeous. I think a little mold release spray basically soaks in, especially to matte surfaces like the Zuri molds.
Hi, I am new to Zuri and just bought my first one last night - the Lion! I love your video and am getting a lot of cool ideas. I am also new to using Resin. I would love ideas on what projects to do with the finished pieces. I do bottle art with recycled bottles, clay, dragons, etc. maybe I can use them on bottles. What type of glue would I use? Thanks so much! ♥
Definitely on bottles!! Are you in the Zuri Facebook group? The folks there come up with so many incredible uses for these pieces, including on bottles. Every month Zuri posts a challenge for people to try with their molds, and I believe either December’s or January’s challenge did involve decorating bottles with the molded pieces. As for glue, I’ve been using E6000. It dries clear and seems to stick anything to anything.
@@Luxinda thank you so much! I have been looking for an answer everywhere! Yes, I am on the Facebook page. Currently, I have been creating clay designs on bottles and creating dragons, etc. Thank you again! ♥
These are really beautiful and to use your words, "gorgeous". Do you think that even though these moulds are opaque silicone, that you could use UV resin or should it be 2 part resin?
Thank you! That’s an excellent question, and I’m not sure of the answer, because I haven’t tried that yet. But my guess would be that UV resin would work if you put clear UV resin into the molds, so the sun rays or black light can shine all the way through. If the UV resin is colored somehow, then I’m not sure at all if the entire piece would cure. Maybe someone with more UV resin experience will see this and have an answer for you.
@@Luxinda thank you. I'm going to try the clear uv with mica shift colors that hopefully won't be too heavy to block the black light. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :) I'm going to do the Pheonix.
Absolutely beautiful 😍 The inks were a "happy "surprise 😊
Thanks so much! 😊 Yes, they really were! And watching this video again makes me want to do something like that all over again (it's been awhile)😁😁
I love these molds. I've used the castle one on a tray for charity. It Turned out beautiful.
Oooh! I’ll bet it was gorgeous - I love that castle 🏰 mold!
That's from Court Jester! It has the brew that is true. My favorite movie of all time.
🥳🥳🥳🥳 I looovvvve that movie so much!!! The whole sword fight between Danny Kaye and Basil Rathbone was brilliant!! 🥰🥰🥰

Thanks!😊
Omg love these
Thanks - Zuri molds are amazing! They have new ones coming out soon that I can’t wait to try!
@@Luxinda thank you, I will need to order some. Many blessings

You seriously must have a lot of patience to do those! They look amazing !!!

That was KS Art Resin that I used for these Zuri molds.
Love how they turned out - do you put any sealers on them?
