I don't think we can enjoy the movie here but definitely can have great experience. This is for who wants to chill out in weekends and not for hard core cinema lovers
@@a-zaptitude2142 what 😳 🤔? I was just appreciating their idea. Usually a family (assume 4) might spend (In Chennai) - 200-250 for parking 600-800 in tickets. But by this they are paying 2x for the parking and tickets alone. Less running cost compared to a theater coz no need to power all the setup, AC, Speakers etc etc etc.
Well there is no point in compare tinajin with ahmedabad. The drive in theater in ahmedabad is since 1973 and has a capacity of 660 cars and 6000 people which is far bigger than the one in mumbai.
It's not the first in Mumbai. So an open theatre existed excatly at the same place where the mall is now built. As a kid, some 15-20 years ago, could see visuals of the screen while passing by towards Dharavi. All they've done is moved the theatre up on the roof and utilised the land for a mall.
First drive in roof-top maybe yes it is... But first driven in India-no... Because we have a drive in theatre in Visakhapatnam which open around 3-4 years ago and when it opened itself we got to know that it is 5th drive in theatre in India.
maybe one time thing but its for sure the theater experience cannot be beaten. more like a picnic than movie experience. your dad was holding a big black bottle in one shot, outside snacks and drinks allowed ?
Excellent video n good job I liked the Jio Drive Thetre the climate was pleasant we enjoyed a lot n food is too good n lots of variety n my daughter Bianca Saurastri compare the video very well. Thanks
Great video. We still have a ginormous Drive-In Theatre in Ahmedabad which inspired the older Mumbai one. Ginormous because it used to accommodate 750 cars and I think about 1000 people. The cars were on "humps", so the whole space was wavy, cars would come and park pointing up. The screen was huge - 4 stories high and quite wide. The auditorium had the front open, so if you didn't have a car, you could still land up and enjoy the open-air experience. I began my Drive-In journey watching films like Ben Hur, Amar Akbar Anthony - every Friday, there was a new film. We would take the 7:30-ish show, the movie began only after sundown, sometimes closer to 8pm ! And as a result, the 10:30 show had really flexible timings. Given that screen, and special projectors, all movies felt great. Absolutely must do for the experience.
Nice Video with excellent briefing and you have very good voice. Thank you very much Kamiya. God Bless You. I saw Opening Ceremony of Jio World Trade Centre on 04.03.2022 on You Tube. But your video is most beautiful. Once Again Thanks KJ
The first movie I ever watched in a drive in theatre was sooryavanshi I liked it more then a normal theatre but the sound quality wasn’t so good and the clarity was a little poor too otherwise my experience was pretty I had nachos and was very comfy too…

This is not new, in Delhi we had such theatres inside Pragati Maidan in 80's Like Shakuntalam, Falaknuma and 2 more, I watched many movies there with my elder and younger brother many times, and it was such an amazing experience all together, and ticket Price was also very low Rs5/- or10/- only, But now a days with all such modern facilities the prices are quite High. Chalo koi na , Enjoy Guys 😊
Other people after watching this- Oh wow what an amazing experience it would be watching movies in this theatre!! Ahmedabadi people be like- First time huh??🙂😅
Is Rs.1000 ticket for all 4 passengers? Can we take our baby boy to drive in, as parents we have not watched a movie in 2 years but drive in could be a better option, please let me know
2000? Watching movie here 10 times would be 20k, with that money I could go for a LED projector, full HD, 8500 lumens brightness and project a screen upto 300inches, do it at the comfort of my own rooftop.
So basically you spend on a ticket which cost 1200 plus consumption of petrol while watching movie for 2 hours and first of all it is uncomfortable to watch in car if four person are sitting in same car . The people who sits at back side it gets very uncomfortable to watch. Mumbai don't have cool climate even at night even though you switch off the car
Kya baat kar rhe ho didi first rooftop to mere ghar ke chat pe tha ,teez me saare gaon wale chatpe black and white tv aur Nadiya ke par movie ,kya scene tha wo😂😂😂
After all its PVR!! Stil its kinda cheap. I mean 2000 for 4 people, meaning 500 per head its good. Considering PVR in Mumbai sells normal tickets for 400-600. I expected it to be more expensive since they have brand value of Jio and is situated in a posh location.
@@OM.14 nopes... in Kolkata PVR, it's never 600 and 400 is occasionally and that too for recliner and in PXL screen. 500 per person is too much expensive..
@@subhadeepdasgupta773 thats why I wrote Mumbai there. Mumbai ones expensive af, especially PVR ICON. Its much cheaper for day shows, but evening (peak time) shows atleast are worth 400

~300 x 2000/per car x 2 days - 12 lakh revenue per weekend. Shopping revenue extra extra extra. Very good biz idea.
what about various permissions and running expenses its not going to be that easy to operate such business and be profitable in the long term

Drive in 😂😂
I can imagine luxury cars coming in, and all eyes on cars instead of movie.
I will download that movie then I will watch it in my car with popcorn and coke (Expenses Rs. 100 only)...............
Before someone comments Ahmedabad mein already hai .. pls note this is rooftop which is first in India and not open like Ahmedabad..

India's first drive in cinema already in ahmedabad last 25 years
Drive in theater started in BKC if I don't mistaken around 1997 & closed in 2003. How can you enjoy movies in open theatre. It is waste of money.

Do they have a ticket counter like other normal theater have it or we have to book it from book my show or pvr app ??
