    Helpful. Thank you. What is the procedure to get both the title row and header row to repeat? It seems that only the header row will repeat?

      Unfortunately I don’t think you can create formulas in tables in Pages on the iPad. I couldn’t find any way to do it.

      Yup i’ve faced the same issue with the ipad, unfortunately apple support won’t consider this anytime soon

    very useful thanks, how do I save the table for my next job please?

    • @apple-a-day
      @apple-a-day  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, glad it was helpful. There's no way to just save just the table, but you can do a couple of things to make re-using the table a little easier. You can always just copy the table from your Pages document and paste it into a new Pages document. Or you can save the pages document as a Template (near the bottom of the File Menu) and start all new documents from that template. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    Is this function still working? I just downloaded the latest pages app and the "=" function are no longer working.

    • @apple-a-day
      @apple-a-day  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there. I just updated my Pages to test this and it's working for me. I added a new table, selected a cell, pressed '=' and the formula editor appeared. If the '=' is not working for you you can always add it from the menu... in the menu bar, go to:
      Insert -> Formula -> New Formula

  • @tarheeljim

    Unless I am missing something, this does not seem to work when using Pages on an iPad. I can’t get it to work when I try to enter a formula in a cell in the table.

      Hi there. You are correct... this feature does not seem to be available on the iPad version of Pages.

    What's the formula to update the invoice number every time you make a new one. For example yours says AD0003, how do you have it automatically update to AD0004 next time ? Thanks

    • @apple-a-day
      @apple-a-day  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! This is a great question but unfortunately I don't think there is a way to do this in Numbers. If I ever discover a method for this I'll let you know. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!

      @@apple-a-day if you name the file "invoice 01" then duplicate it, it will cerate a new file called "invoice 02" but inside the file it will not alter the number, but at least it changes the files name automatically to keep you reminded.

      Just use field option of file name and name your files accordingly

    • @apple-a-day
      @apple-a-day  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! You can merge cells if you select the cells you want to merge and then right click. From the Drop Down menu select 'Merge Cells'. That's all there is to it! Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!

      Hello, if typing in '=' is not working for you to bring up the formula editor, you can use the insert menu on the top of the window and select New Formula. That will do the same thing. Note that when you type in '=' you can't already be editing the contents of the cell, the cell should just be selected only. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

    Is this possible on an iPad?

    • @apple-a-day
      @apple-a-day  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I assumed you could but I went to try it and couldn’t find a way to create a formula. Nor could I find it in any searches I did. It would seem that formulas can’t be created on the iPad in Pages Tables.
