You mama, please do keep these short reviews going!
OLAPLEX is awesome and has reverted my bleach damaged hair fully within less than 6 months of usage, with highly increased moisture and outstanding results from the very first time round.
I’m mixed race and truly appreciate how hard it is to grow our hair noticeably due to the loving curls, and our sisters out there need to grab hold of this holy grail and learn there’s always salvation prior to the “big chop”!
You’re lovely and thanks for sharing x x

I used the shampoo conditioner and leave in for the first time today and I immediately knew I messed up because I thought I needed more shampoo than I did lol and the shower was sudsy. A little goes a long way lol . I suffered from brittle and straw like hair. I mean even when my hair was soaked it felt like straw. I used this and it’s the first thing I used that felt like it penetrated. My hair feels better already after one wash so I can’t wait to see how it feels after continued use. Smells great!

    • @sabinahertzum9728
      @sabinahertzum9728 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Don’t put it in a spray bottle - that’s just aerosolizing it and that’s wasted product!!!
Instead put your head over a bowl or plugged sink when applying it - and avoid the scalp!! Conzentrate it on the damaged part...
By doing it over a bowl you catch any product that drips of, and you can use your ends or the bottle to soak up any product that drips off....
Because it’s so expensive it’s better to do it in a way I to preserve as much product as possible and not risk wasting it!!

I love love love Olaplex!!! Olaplex is meant to work as a system so when take some of the products out you don't get the full affect of what it meant to do. When I was growing out my grey tresses I notice that my grey hair was weak. I did some research on Olaplex and almost fainted when I when to purchase this system. I used this system every 4 to 6 weeks for about 6 months in the beginning now I use only every 3 to 4 month. My grey tresses is salt n pepper, shiny and Beautiful?

    • @RachelAdina

Oh no! Heat damage truly sucks but the olaplex should help restore some strength but typically not curl pattern as that damage is permanent. If your heat damage has little to no elasticity it might be time to do a big trim until you reach a comfortable length then you can cut at the demarcation line.

This makes it like olaplex 3 and it's both a bond and protein treatment. Cost me about $8 to make 16 ounces vs olaplex 3's measly 3 ounces. Can't beat that price tag :-)

I am in a support group for thousands of women who started off having awesome results from olaplex and then it started ravaging their hair. I have 4 hair which has always been extremely thick and now i can feel my scalp all over and am on my journey to growing my hair back. again. user BEWARE. there are multiple lawsuits against them. if you ask me its not worth the risk. stick with your aloe vera castor oil rosemary peppermint black seed oil etc. don't touch that mess. it's a life ruiner

Thats a good question 🤔. In my mind the more free your hair is of products and build up the better it will work. However, I did my first treatment on old pressed hair but it was super dry by then. I think you should be fine if your hair doesn't feel oily or coated with a lot of products. Thanks for watching!😘❤

Aphogee 2 step protein treatment is a miracle for heat damaged hair. It's better at reversing heat damage than Olaplex IMO. You need a blow dryer for the application and the results are instant. I buy it at Sallys

So first of all your thumbnail is soo pretty! Second; I found out that its not a protein treatment its a bond builder 🤷🏾‍♀️ when I made that mistake on my last video the Olaplexians came for my head sis lol😅. You should definitely try the 0.

    • @sabinahertzum9728

Olaplex is NOT a proteins treatment!!
It’s not adding anything to your hair ( like curlsmiths new bond treatment does) - it uses the loose disulphide bonds in your hair and repairs them by building them back together..
In Denmark we call them for ‘disulphide bridges’ -so it makes sense to build them back together / it’s a little harder to explain in English...
but the bottom line is that it doesn’t add to your hair....
If you want a visual representation -
A normal proteins treatment on the hair works kinda like doing spackle on a wall... it fills out any holes and makes it appear fixed but the underlying layers are still crackeling...
Olaplex is more like infusing the wall with glue - it seeps in to every crack and repairs the interior of the wall without adding a lot of product to the wall itself....
This is also why it’s still important to use moisture and proteins ( if your hair needs it) to the hair after doing olaplex....
Olaplex adds inner strength!! But the other stuff adds flexibility and visual shine....
Some people think Olaplex is ‘just a protein treatment - but it’s really not - that is also why no 0 and 3 should ALWAYS be washed out with shampoo and followed by ( at least) any conditioning mask you prefer...
because Olaplex alone doesn’t make your hair soft!!
And by the way - Olaplex works better when used regularly...
the reason being, that our hair is ALWAYS loosening those disulphide bonds - any time you wash, brush, get sun exposure or even sleep on it, every thing you do to the hair breaks those bonds... that is also why Olaplex works better over time - because as you loose bonds - Olaplex repairs them - and by keeping on with the reparing, you lessen the overall damage your hairs is prone to on the daily ;)
      Hope that makes sense ;)

@@friedchicken892 - I’m not sure I get exactly what you are asking??
But I’ll try answering from what I think you are asking..
      Olaplex!!
No 0 - is a pre-pre treatment... it’s used on dry hair before shampooing or anything.. ( pro tip - apply over a bowl to catch and reuse any product dripping down ) put on a plastic cap/bag/whatever - leave for 10 minutes - then you use
No 3 - it is a pre treatment - it’s used in conjunction with no 0... so put on top of the 0 after about 10 minutes... and leave on for another 10 minutes - again on with the cap/bag/whatever... then you go to
No 4 - shampoo - wash as usual, preferably twice ;)
This is the point where you can add in your proteins or deep conditioning treatment.. choose what you feel the hair needs!! If it feels dry and brittle, then deep condition, if it feels mushy then proteine...
Leave on for the amount of time recommended on the product...
      And rinse..
      And then it’s time for
      No 5 - conditioner - use as recommended ( I believe it’s 3 minutes ;)...
Now your shower/ hair washing session is done ;)
No 6 is a smoothing Leave in treatment - you only need a pea sized amount - use it before you add on styling products...
For a shine kick you can mix it with a few drops of no 7...
No 7 is a finishing product - it’s a ‘dry shine oil’ you can smoothe over your hair to make it anti static and give shine....
All this being said - depending on where your hair is at - you might not need to do the full treatment every time...
That is also dependent on how often you wash your hair...
It’s recommended using no 3 once a week - but if you only wash once a week it might be overkill....
You could choose to use the full olaplex and skipping any deep treatment or proteins, and then at your next wash day you could do no 4 and then do the deep treatment, ending with the conditioner....
It’s all about finding and Implementing a routine that works for you - and that includes economically...
Always start any treatment by assessing your hair - try to discover what it needs at this precise moment... sometimes it might need moisture, other times protein and others again both...
The good thing about olaplex ( no 0 and 3) is that it works inside the hair and doesn’t add on to the hairstrand - that gives us the added tools of using other treatments in order to get our hair in the best condition possible ;)

When using the home treatment ( 0 and 3) you’d actually use them like we do in salon treatment ( 1 and 2)
And that’s - put in 0 with the applicator bottle ( do it over a bowl or sink to lessen the spillage - you can soak up the drippings with your hair after) - focusing on the damaged areas and avoiding the scalp...
Put a cap on, let sit for 10 minutes -
Then add on the no 3 ( NO rinsing) - cap on - sit for 10 minutes...
Than rinse - wash - rinse - wash - moisture / proteins treatment of your choice and end with conditioner...
