Normally I never say anything about price. Thousands of dollars spent on a knife, I don’t question it. But the build/fit/finish on this is definitely not worth that price.

Todd Rexford is the pinnacle of this style of knife. I used to own a mini epicenter but sadly I had to sell it to help put a down payment on my house. Dang I miss it though. I will own another some day soon I hope! This is a grail! 💎
Wait, hold on a minute here pal. Are you trying to tell me that the ZT/Rexford 0801 is the SAME Rexford as the dude who made this knife in his shop????? No. Don’t play with me like that.

I was fully expecting people to be like “what if the owner wants to take it apart to clean?” But if the owner is this wants anything done with it, 99.9% of the time they are going to send it back to Todd to have him do the work. So why have any hardware able to be seen?
On the desirability scale, I’d have to agree. But most people don’t know that Gil is still making knives AMD accepting orders, so it’s a dream that can come true. Dammit, now you’ve put that dirty thought in my head.
@@JimSkeltonKnives To be honest, your friend got completely shafted. I bought the Todd Rexford Custom Deluxe Cesium XL Flipper for $8,400 and it easily rivals this knife in both complexity and quality of materials
@@stanwilson7040 you didn’t buy that from a dealer with a dealer markup then. This isn’t maker price, this is current value. And as you know, a Rexford will continue to appreciate in value for the foreseeable future
Im just thankful us peasants were afforded the opportunity to see this knife. Funny how you assume that none of your viewers can afford a 28k knife. A porch pirate gonna end up with that and use it to open everybody else's Amazon orders for years to come.
I’m afraid to just take a guess and mislead anyone, but I would believe that this knife was probably around $5-$6k if it were made for a customer directly. But this was bought from a show by a retailer (where the purchasing is done via bidding) then marked up and resold.

Oh! Most expensive knife on YOUR channel, I have to watch this. I’ve been subscribed for a while and I used to think “this guy is spending crazy money on knives”! But that was a while ago and well you know.
I guess when u have money to burn u find new and exciting ways to set it ablaze. Then to hear someone try and justify the price tag on this for the materials used is insane. I guess when u spend this kind of money u need to justify it to yourself and everyone around you so you don't feel like an idiot.
Money is relative. Either way, it doesn't change my opinion on what the knife is actually worth material wise and hours put in. I mean your paying for a name and bragging rights just like with all super overpriced items. It's just that this one is a name no one knows. I mean, u overpay for a Rolex based on materials used, but even non watch people know the name, but no knife maker is on that level imo. Also I'm OK with saying u think this knife is worth the price based on return value personal preference but not on action materials or labor because I'm sorry but it's just not true and I don't need to handle a $28,000 knife to know that.
Total nonsense for 28,000. No matter how much wealth one has. It’s an embarrassingly waste of money. Do you know how many Nighthawk customs I can get for 30K? How about a couple Taran Tacrical pistols.
Cool. And there is a Canik owner standing behind you that says he can buy 13 Mete’s for the wasteful money you spent on one TRS Commander. And there’s a Hi-Point owner behind him squawking on about the fact that he can arm a small guerilla force with Hi-Point Yeet Cannons for that same amount. See how that silliness works?
Normally I never say anything about price. Thousands of dollars spent on a knife, I don’t question it. But the build/fit/finish on this is definitely not worth that price.
The blade and handle are so basic looking for the price; you can get way finer inlay work and even hand engraving for less money I bet

What they say about money not buying taste has never been more true. You drank the kool-aid brother. Consumerism is over 9000!
How the inlay bevels mirror, and slightly overlap each other is stunning!!! Appears there are anodized facets on the clip as well.
The precision and craftsmanship that went into making that is unreal.
