The first Alvis TD21 I ever saw was as a young lad, about 8, or 9 in Melbourne Australia, in 1968, or 69.
I thought it was one of the coolest cars ever.
Love the videos, and bloody envious 😊

Thanks for your kind comment. Quite a few went to Australia and they would be quite a sight in the sixties

Just watching this because a pal bought a TD21 yesterday at auction.
First time I've watched this channel. Thoroughly enjoyed it and, subscribed.

Such happy memories of the car which my father drove when I was a child. He then decided it was unsafe for children so bought a “hard top”. He was concerned by the amount of increasing traffic on the roads and the proliferation of poor and reckless drivers ! Compared to today ! Thank you for this video - from a new Subscriber .

I don't like the word 'awesome' but what else can one say....... perhaps simply gorgeous. Now, if only my bank account had rather more money in it...!

Thank you for this kind comment. I'm glad you like this unique car... or should I say all three cars?

There's a lot of Aston Martin in those lines? I believe the rear lights are the same or very similar.

All 3 of these TD’s are utterly gorgeous. I only recently became aware of the Alvis, and am quite besotted with the TF Graber - which needless to say I’d be unlikely to ever afford as either one of the 6 originals, or the new factory continuation models.
I could still semi plausibly dream of finding a TD in particularly sad condition for a tasteful full restoration and sympathetic and homage laden conversion….

The 3l Alvis were clearly better than the
Mercedes 300 SL. Handmade, bespoke, outstanding value for money. The Mercedes: Only one configuration, untried direct petrol injection, overengineered gullwing doors, claustrophobic interior, and you already had to pay a hefty plus just for the brand.
