I like curl maker for what it is. I don’t expect wetline results, it’s a softer hold. I usually use it for wash and go’s during the summer when I need something quick. It’s like flaxseed gel, super slippery. Definitely try a wash and go!

I love Curl Maker with other products.. Such as Shea moisture Raw Shea Butter conditioner which can be used as a leave in it pairs very well with that product for me anyways.. I think porosity affects how products feel and absorb into the hair some people get flakes and an extra hard cast and then some people get hold shine and their hair feels soft using curl maker.. I have Medium porosity 4a and my hair holds up with this gel when I occasionally define my coils.

This and the mane choice crystal orchid gel (new formula) are the only gels I use for my wngs. Love this ❤ There's definitely a learning curve when it comes to the constitency. I apply more leave in and less and gel!

Layering both of the products with a stronger gel removes that gummy texture that I got after they were completely dry.

i cant believe you didnt like the curl maker! that has been my holy grail since my hair was 1inch long and even now. everytime i hear of someone not liking the curl make its because they used it on dry hair. it says in the direction i believe to use on wet hair. if u try a wash and go try on damp or wet hair and trust me, u dont need the whipped gel. just use a cream or creaming leave in under it and and the curl maler is all u beed

Yeoooooo I just through the rest of mine out. Was trying to get my money’s worth, but I can’t stand how this reactivates in water/humidity and is so gummy. Looking forward to your thoughts!
@@kumikco90 Hey! I noticed that if I got in the shower without a plastic cap or if I were outside after it rained, the curl maker would feel gummy on my hair. For me, this is one of those products that you can’t be heavy handed with because water takes it back to life in a bad way lol. I think it could be better for me in the winter, but I don’t plan on repurchasing to find out. I have naturally high porosity hair, so that could have impacted it, but I am also 3C/4A high density so I can’t go light or else I’ll lack definition. It was a no for me, Sis...

When u pair the 2 gels do u use any other moisturizer product aswell? Like a leave in or cream?

You need to use the leave in or the curl love first then pair it on top

Yes, you can. It’s a light hold gel though. So it may not last as long or create as much definition as other ones
