    Ego is the problem with alot of these older players. If a player is good at what he does and has a good skill set , he'd adjust and be good in any era. Giannis, KD , LeBron, Steph , all of them would dominate in any era, same way MJ, Malone , Barkley etc would have dominated in any era.

    • @robbnoble1509

      Tbh I think Steph would have to play SG in another ear to dominate, which would make him a worse defender than he already is, but as a PG he would have a lot more trouble creating his own shot in the hand checking era. Gilbert arenas started that hybrid score heavy pg and he was getting buckets in the early 2000s , and Gil ain't no Steph Curry, so Steph would adjust and he'd dominate same way, As for Westbrook he'd be the same player though , he would have taken less shots and and his fg%might have been better, he'd still rebound and assist as he does. Harden would go less times to the line yes,but let's not forget he has a perimeter and , mid range game, so he'd still get his, he's also a great passer.

    Thank you IT. This is the truth. With Giannis' work ethic and genetics he would be bullied those first two years, and then evolve like he has. Also, Giannis could hard foul you back.

    Absolutely he would with his style of play he'd probably take an extra year to adjust to the more physical game that it was and have to learn to not complain about non calls cause contact is going to happen but then he'd dominate after that

    Hard to make the “he couldn’t handle our era” comments about a 6’11 shredded monster who is faster than anyone his size and has genuine ball handling and play making abilities if double teamed. Lebron KD and Giannis are the 3 guys of this era who may even be better in old eras than they are now

  • @KimarKurosaski
    @KimarKurosaski 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    What annoys me the most about this take is Oakley played in an era of illegal defense. Meaning they wouldn’t have been able to load up on defense at the paint or do pre rotations AKA the only thing that could kind of work on Giannis.
    Imagine Giannis getting guys like Oakley isolated at the top of the key with no help until Giannis is at the damn rim UNLESS you hard double him in which he’s still one of the best big man passers of all time. On top of that Giannis isn’t the best shooter but he would be one of the better shooting bigs of that time. It’s legit the worst take I’ve heard from someone who ACTUALLY played the game.
    People need to stop it every All Time Great player is getting buckets, boards and assist in every era of the league.

      Preach! I said this in another forum too, the Illegal D back then prevents packing the paint like what they do today, don't they ever wonder why it was soooo easy to do an entry pass to Shaq even if he far outmatched every single big then? You can't sag!
