    I have used jojoba in every way mentioned for the last 5 years. Also in many others. I have discontinued using most OTC products. People frequently comment that they are surprised I am over 60....I am 79. Love finding this product. Linda

    I’m going to try this on my hair. I have wavy hair which is hard to deal with…well at least for me lol. When my hair is wet, I love the way my curls look and wish they’d stay that way, but then my hair dries and a lot of my hair looks straight with a few curls here and there except the back of my head that is the waviest part of my hair almost looking like I crimped it. Other oils and hair products I’ve used for curly hair always just make my hair look oily like I haven’t washed my hair in awhile which I do not like. So fingers crossed this works well for my hair and gives me the look I want

      @melisue7487 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mansipal2922 yes! When I combine it with my conditioner I also use a scalp massager which I’m sure helps as well. Combining it with my conditioner does help a lot with not making my hair look greasy, but you can tell a little. It just looks like I haven’t washed my hair in a day or 2 which I can deal with 😁 it also definitely helps with frizz right now with it being winter time 👍

    • @melisue7487
      @melisue7487 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Scapegoated_Soulmate I started using baby shampoo and conditioner since it has no added chemicals in it. That’s why it doesn’t burn little ones eyes. It’s gentle on not just little ones hair, it’s gentle on everyone’s hair. There’s many brands, but I stick with the known and buy Johnson&Johnson. Then I add just a couple drops of jojoba oil in my conditioner and use a scalp massager while shampooing and while putting in my conditioner. So I’m sure the shampoo and conditioner with the added jojoba oil and massage is all helping. Massaging your scalp for at least 30 min a day increases blood flow which helps with hair growth. I also like to use it with the baby shampoo and conditioner because it doesn’t suds up like other shampoo, so it might not feel like you’re cleaning your hair good, but it is cleaning your hair just as well as other shampoo, if not better. I also only clean the top of my head and let the shampoo run down my hair as I’m rinsing out the shampoo, and I put very little conditioner on the top of my head and the majority of it on my tips and let it sit in my hair for about 5 min or so. Then the last thing I do or I should say don’t do is I don’t scrub my hair. I gently run my fingers through it to spread the shampoo and conditioner around. Scrubbing will cause breakage and split ends

Yes I love all my luxury lotions and potions but over the last few years have become much more interested in ingredients and so on, one of the biggest benefits of using oils is they are natural and you know exactly what’s in them. I’ve struggled with acne for many years, and just started using jojoba oil. I’ve only used it 5 days, and my skin is so bad now! Is the skin supposed to purge? I’ve been trying to learn the difference between purging and breaking out, but I think it’s so difficult to understand!
    For me it seems like all my breakouts are coming to the top of my skin and want to get out, but I don’t know if it’s normal or not, or if I’m having a bad reaction.
    Heard so much about it, so I really want it to work 🙏🏼

    • @KirstyKirby
      @KirstyKirby  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh I’m so so sorry to hear that! You may already be doing so, but One major tip is to use a very small amount, less than seems needed. 3 drops should be enough for your entire face, leaving no oily feeling on the skin after a few minutes.
      As with any product, natural or otherwise if it continues to cause issues either discontinue use, or try using less frequently (for example retinol can be severely irritating for some and can only be used once a week, rather than every day like some use it)
      Are you using alongside other products?

    • @annieyourbro
      @annieyourbro 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kirsty Kirby thank you for the answer! I only use 2-3 drops when I use it. Every morning and night. I only use cleanser and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, and then I use jojoba ☺️

    So in regards to dry scalp or flaking and that sort of thing that comes when your hair needs a wash, whats the best way to apply/leave in/wash out?
    Since i wont get an instant answer, im gona put it in my hair now as ive just washed it, put on a hair scarf and sleep, but is it good to wash it out in the morn or just carry on?
    Been having this scalp issue for years and to this day haven’t really found the correct method/answer to keep the issue down apart from washing hair every 2 days and greasing it, but the issue is, what is the correct oil for me to use? - btw i have coolie type west indian curly hair

      Hi Bethany, unfortunately dermatologists do seem to be conflicted on this one and I too have read both. Hi Kirsty, I personally use Moroccan Oil but then I only use oils in my hair and body when more dry. Linda Passos do you mean Morrocan oil the brand? I know the brand, they’re obviously based on Argan Oil which I enjoy too. That’s a shame, I’m oily to combo and yet my skin will even tolerate coconut oil which can be a real problem for some people. Have you tried a range of oils (I’m sure you have as I know you enjoy your skincare) - some people don’t get on with say rosehip but are ok with squalane for example. Xx

I tried rosehip oil from different brands and that's the worst, less than 1 min in and my skin starts to get red, burning and rash... just a nightmare :-( Overall my face refuses any kind of oils even the cleansers :-( Hope you're having a great weekend

      Hi there. I did not say it was a spot treatment so cannot advise. It can help balance oil production, has anti bacterial qualities and one study suggested it may help reduce breakouts. • @KirstyKirby

      Personally I don’t think coconut oil is ‘bad’ but it is more comedogenic than other oils so can cause breakouts on the skin, and could do so on the scalp. I have used coconut oil on my hair in the past but I found it was quite difficult to properly rinse out and left my hair greasier than I’d like. This is not something I've ever come across as a recommendation that works. If anything it could possibly dilute the fragrance. But do feed back if you try it and it works for you, I'm sure others would be interested. If you mean layering in the way that you can purchase moisturiser that is the same fragrance as a perfume, I suppose you could try mixing yourself but I'm not sure it would be very cost effective, and also I'd exercise caution in doing so as could potentially cause skin irritation.
