I honestly think Andrew Luck is just that genuine. There’s video of the colts fans finding out he retired while he was on the field and he had to be escorted off the field, broke my heart.
As a Colt fan, all the fans who boo’d him off the field when they announced his retirement (during the preseason game) all lost their fan-card. it was disgraceful, we miss him so much
Matthew Staffords micd up moment at the end of the video is the longest uncut micd up moment in nfl history. It was his first year in the NFL. On that play you see, he dislocated his shoulder on what shouldve been the last play of the game. But the defense was called for a penalty so they got one last shot. The doctors told him to stay out, he said “fvck it, if you need me to throw, I can throw” put himself back into the game and won. That 5 minute video of him is worth a reaction
Andrew Luck really is just that nice of a guy. He gave up Football and all of that potential money to avoid injury so he can remain mentally healthy for his family.
Andrew Luck is 100% not reverse psychology. he was just that kind of guy. it was weird how nice he was. you should look into him actually - he was labeled a generational prospect coming out of Stanford, went #1 overall and was an elite QB in the NFL but retired at just 30. he had a chance to be a hall of famer if he didn't retire and he's only 34 now.
He was really good but he never lived up to "elite" status. That's kind of revisionist history. He was a top 10 QB but injury prone and when he was playing he threw a lot of picks. It's sad he retired so early but he wasn't on pace to make the HOF or anything
The Matthew Stafford Mic'd up moments have two iconic moments that deserve to be watched in it's entirety. There is the Clip at the Very end with comeback win + injury. The whole clip is like 3 minutes long and it is brilliant. It look like something out of a movie. The other was the "CLOCK IT!" Mic up moment, where he does a fake spike to score a touchdown to win the game. Matt Stafford was amazing to watch for the Lions with all his comeback wins. The only problem is that they had to come back to win if they were going to win. Glad he got his ring with the rams.
As a Colts fan it wasn't reverse psychology although I totally understand why you would think so. He's just that type of guy. Super genuine and kid like when he played and never really got angry at anyone. Great guy.
I remember that last clip with Matthew Stafford watching it live. If I remember correctly it was later determined that he had broken his collarbone on that devastating hit and finished the game in pain playing with it broken. Every step must have been agony let alone people patting him on the shoulders in congratulations. Say what you want about his skills or accomplishments, but that is a Man right there.
Multiple players have talked about Luck throwing them off with all the compliments. If it makes you subconsciously hold up just that tiniest little amount when you have a hit on him, that's enough for a guy of his level to beat you. Sucks he retired early but he was looking out for his health.
Peyton Manning is really hilarious. You guys should really check out clips of the Manning brothers on Monday Night Football. They’re funny and it’s really interesting to hear them talk about what they’d do in the situation they’re watching on the field.
The best QB mic'd up is still Peyton Manning yelling 'God Damnit, Donald!' at his tackle (who let a defender go right around him) while running for his life
It was his running back, Donald Brown. He was supposed to take a play fake but just ran a completely wrong route (in the wrong direction, iirc). Goddammit, Donald.
There's an interview of him talking about that sketch. Said he felt really bad about it, even though they were Nerf footballs. Apologized to the parents, but they were like, no, hit him again! 😂
Stafford's shoulder was dislocated on the touchdown pass--he went to the sideline, but Cleveland called time out, which gave Stafford a minute to collect himself and we went back in to make the 2point conversion to win the game then went back to the bench and the locker room where they put his shoulder back in place. Nothing like football players. Stafford won the SB with the Rams 2 years ago, but was injured almost all of last season. His best friend from grade school and high school is a terrific major league pitcher Clayton Kershaw. They both were excellent pitchers, but Stafford was also a great college QB and went NFL.
Peyton and Jeff Saturday arguing after they failed to convert on that 3rd and goal is classic 😂😂🏈 I got to watch him (Peyton Manning)for the last four years he was in Denver and it was amazing and ended with a Lombardi trophy to beat 😂 go broncos!! Sb 50 champions 😊
Yeah that Stafford shoulder injury reminds me of Univ of TN vs Arkansas in 2002. 6 OT’s and in the game winning TD UT QB Clausen there to Jason Witten you can see Clausen holding his left arm down and keeping people from hugging him as he had hurt it earlier in the game. Exactly how Stafford was trying to not let people hit him on the shoulder.
Stafford on the last play was his rookie year and he separated his left shoulder. He was supposed to come out due to the injury timeout but the Browns called a timeout which allowed Stafford to return. He threw a TD on the final play then ran off to get his shoulder looked at. He missed the rest of the year if I recall
Stafford won the Super Bowl a couple years back with the Rams. He is one tough dude. They actually mic’d up that Super Bowl he played in. A bunch of the players were mic’d on both the Bengals and Rams.
As a life long lions fan, born and raised in Michigan, Stafford was one hell of a person. That being said, it sucks our team was never good enough at the time to give him the weapons he needed to win more. The Rams did and I don’t think a lot of us hate him for it. But now the rams have imploded and the lions are the best team in the nfl. Grass is always greener
Please do a reaction video to George Kittle he's one of the most entertaining players in the game right now. Btw that teammate Peyton Manning was arguing with at 3:35 Jeff Saturday (also a former espn analyst) ended up becoming the colts interim head coach last season after they fired their coach half way thru the season and he did terrible. 😂
That Tom Brady celebration was one of the best celebrations one of the best Super Bowl wins that was such an incredible defensive play so intelligent, and I'm still waiting to get a reaction from you guys for the Atlanta Falcons vs New England Patriots super bowl which in my opinion is the best Superbowl in Super Bowl history
Colleges lack the major bargaining gambit of moving. You can’t pack up the university and move if the city doesn’t want to build something. Plus they’re usually in relatively small towns so there’s not major budgets to ask for anyway. The big colleges have enough money that it’s not an issue really, anyway. The small schools just have to make do with what they have.
Luck is just a nice guy, would come into the restaurant I worked at with his family and teammates. He would treat the staff like they were all his good friends lol.
Andrew Luck said he complimented defenders because they would hit him less hard. If you're going to get hit, might as well be polite so the guy can choose not to outright kill you.
Stafford was a long time lions Qb then finally moving teams and joining the rams and finally getting a Super Bowl ring. But that number 12 was Andrew luck. He was a real nice genuine guy and imo one of the big what IFs at the QB position. Andrew luck was so damn talented dude was an absolute monster he could do everything. He is the only guy when healthy and at his best reminds me of mahomes because he did all the crazy things mahomes did with running and throwing at awkward angles and making crazy passes. If only his body held up and if he was still playing he’d definitely be known as one of the greats. Injuries took that away from him sadly.
IMO with Luck, he IS that nice of a person...but he's also incredibly intelligent and is using it as a tactic so that the defensive pass rushers don't hate him and have less passion to come after him. He went to Stanford which is better than some Ivy league schools. A lot of top tier football schools that are also top tier academically will lower their standards in terms of admittance, if you're good enough at sports. Stanford doesn't do that.
100% reverse psychology. I've heard defenders talk about it, telling rookies to not talk to Tom Brady because he'll butter you up and make you not want to hit him, same with Luck. lol
Mahomes does what Luck was doing as well. He said, It is because... He hopes, if he is nice, and they like him more, they won't try to hit him as hard as they can.
Andrew Luck is very weird. He's probably on the spectrum. He had amazing physical tools. Probably not the arm talent of Mahomes or Rodgers, but he had an elite arm. Also had speed. Really smart guy. Also probably a little autistic.
I honestly think Andrew Luck is just that genuine. There’s video of the colts fans finding out he retired while he was on the field and he had to be escorted off the field, broke my heart.

@@pjhagen11719 colts have a great fan base but like every fan base, there are bad apples. Just sucks the bad apples got the spotlight that day.
@@electreauxholmes5205 💯
It was a few thousand people straggling at the end of a preseason game. Half of them were probably there for free.
They didn’t deserve him

I'm hoping more players learn from his decision.

@@travishenderson9635 he could have been a lot better if he got a better offensive line im a browns fan but luck was always a good qb
Disagree 100%. Nice guy but it definitely has a psychological effect on the defenders. He's a smart dude and knew exactly what he was doing.
@@travishenderson9635Andrew was everything he was advetised to be and more. Not his fault the Colts are a dumpster fire.

I think Luck is genuine. I do think it psyches players out though because they can’t help but like him
He was the deadhead, the Bill Walton of the nfl. Love him. ❤❤❤
7:01 that interception single handedly won the super bowl and why Tom Brady jumped around like a maniac.
“I’ve got some advice for y’all: take two weeks off then quit.” 😂

Exactly.

Seeing Aikman fired up takes me back. Man he was fuckin awesome.
Bet he was talking about Barry Switzer too. He was right Switzer only won a Super Bowl with Jimmy's players.
He is with the Rams when he left Detroit he played his herrt out for us i was so happy to see him go to the super bowl and win .

Yeah Stafford is in LA now but in that clip he broke his collarbone on that hit and then threw that touchdown, true warrior.
Matt Stafford won a Super Bowl with the LA Rams a couple years ago
Theres a show called “Quarterbacks” that dives deep into 3 QBs. Kirk Cousins is one of them and that show has made me a fan of his.
Kirk cousins blows ass though

That commercial handing out Christmas presents! "You're never gonna guess what it is!" Lol 🤣🎁🏈🤣

Mahomes does what Luck was doing as well. He said, It is because... He hopes, if he is nice, and they like him more, they won't try to hit him as hard as they can.
Andrew Luck is probably the smartest (street smart) QB to ever play. Wouldn’t put it past him playing mind games lol

NOT REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY… Andrew Luck is widely known as one of, if not the nicest player to play football.
Andrew luck is nice so maybe defenders would think twice before hitting him too hard
Matthew Stafford has always been an elite quarterback. His problem was he played for the lions for 15 years.
Luck went to Stanford...he's not dumb
Matthew Stanford is a hero
It’s not reverse psychology Andrew luck was just like that
Players said Andrew Luck was just that kind of guy... If you hit him good he would congratulate you

No not Andrew luck he is 💯 percent legit he is a great human being
Nah Andrew Luck is a good dude. It’s all Football, he doesn’t take any of this personal.
Terrell Owens played on game with a broken leg and unfortunately made the Patriots look very stupid 😅

Def wrong about Luck.
Andrew luck is not like that. No reverse psychology. He knows it’s football, but that’s why he retired super early.
I don’t think they Mike up college QBs.
Matthew Stafford has always been a good quarterback, but him being on the lions his entire career they never truly had a chance in the playoffs.
It's sad what happened to Cam Newton he completely changed into this weird person
Peyton Manning was the best! Really miss him. The Colts are garbage now. Sad.
