these people have no clue what they’re talking about or how team building works. extending players like stevenson and tavai just makes their contracts more team friendly down the line this is a pure rebuilding year. onwenu was a much needed re-signing and we all know duggar is good. they’re building the foundation and drafted two rookie receivers to help maye mesh with. they’ll add more top end talent and round out the roster in the next 2 years it doesn’t happen overnight.
Exactly....extend the guys that make a difference, our defense was solid last yr even with judon and gonzo hurt, our offense was just trash so we couldn't put up any points, our defense kept us in a lot of those games.
But why are they so obsessed with "team friendly contracts"? Who cares? The team sucks. Why not get good players that actually cost $$? You can focus on team friendly contracts when you have a good team; not when you suck.
And team building? The team as currently constructed sucks. It sucks. You want to extend all their players? Why? I want them to draft good players and then extend those players. You shouldn't be concerned with extending Stevenson or tavai.
These people don’t watch the patriots consistently at all. Have no idea what their talking about

Tavai was the 3rd best ILB in the NFL last year.
So all last year we heard that Belicheck can't draft and build rosters, yet the new leadership is brings back most of Belichecks players?

Why are we trashing them on all these signings?! And writing them off as a one win team?! You guys should just go cover the chiefs cause they are the only guarantee playoff team at this point. Sorry, but a little positivity this off season would be refreshing!
Ya tweaking. Tavai plays like mayo DUH! why wouldn’t he want to extend someone who reminds him of himself? Tavai was a great football player last year. The disrespect is nasty work no cap. I love someone who is gonna do everything we ask him to.
Tavai is a beast, if you are a pats fan you know who he is for sure. Another subject but I see us winning 8 games if things come together it’s definitely an unorthodox team. No superstars, but a lot of good pieces.
They obviously feel like they have a better team than the record showed last year.. with better QB play they probably see us as a 8-9 win team instead of 4

When Jerod said that the team was going to" burn some cash" the eyes the agents for these unsigned players lit up. This hurts our chances to add much needed offensive help.
